Why is Rex's mom still there? :confused3 There's no reason for her to be there in "reality". I don't like that they're keeping her around for convenience of the Bree "killing" Rex story.
i know, i was happy rex was gone and that bree finally had a chance to get her life on track, and then this lady shows up

Oh and I don't care how bad a housekeeper my husband is, no way in hell would I bring a rat into my house. And why a rat, why not a mouse? And what was with the whole speech into the trash can. I have a feeling we've not seen the last of that rat. That's got to come back and bite her big time.

The two highlights of the show for me were:

When Bree hit her MIL in the face, then sat back down and said are we ready to order like it never happened and

When Susan ran over Edie.......too funny.

I was thinking that too. I wonder what she did with the carrying case from the pet store... Maybe her husband will find/or already found it and knows what she did.

Philadisney:
I was thinking that too. She said that about his punishment and her punishment. I was trying to figure out why she would have to be punished. I thought either what you said, or maybe for doing what she is doing to him?

it would not surprise me if her story is true. earlier, she says that being locked in the basement is his punishment (for kicking the son to death) and that having to listen to him rattle the chains is her punishment (for not saving her son).
This is exactly what I told Dh I thought was going on! I do think there will be a lot of twists along the way though.

As far as why they would keep Rex's mom around...at the end of tonight's show she phoned the dr. to tell him that Bree has a boyfriend, which of course would give her a motive to kill Rex, right? I think that's the only purpose of her still being there. She irritates the hell out of me though. I am glad Bree smacked her. I only wish she would have done it sooner!

New on the thread, so I hope I'm not butting in but...

If you have one of THOSE mother-in-laws, you better believe she would still be around.

I just watched season one on dvd this past week and tivo-ed the last two episodes. I absolutely LOVE this show!

Well, that's certainly true! I can't seem to get rid of my annoying MIL either, lol! :rotfl:

Darn it, darn it, darn it!!!

It's funny how I saw myself in Bree, Lynette and Susan during this episode. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :confused3

I only saw about 1/2 of the show, I fell asleep and woke up after it had gone off. I'm catching up by reading what everyone has to say about scenes from last night. I did love the paperboy scene and Bree and the MIL in the restaurant.

I FELL ASLEEP
during the commercial following the newspaper incident (which was hilarious!)
I am sooooo mad at myself!
 :(

Thanks for being here so I could get a wee bit of an update!
I still want to see it and I cant even imagine waiting til it comes out on DVD or goes into reruns - auuuggghhhh

I missed the Paper boy scene, anyone want to explain, thanks,

And, Lynette with the Rat, I thought right away that the Rat would have babies, but since the rat is dead now the baby rats wouldn't survive, but I have a feeling we will be seeing more rats.

I kept thinking she would find the rat, and it would be a different color then the one she bought, or something like that so we knew it wasn't the same one. I think you are right, this isn't the last rat.

At least you didn't see yourself in Gabby! :rotfl:

Gabrielle and Carlos cracked me up so much, but I didn't like how her pregnancy wasn't mentioned at all. Carlos was dying to have a kid and even though he is mad, I would have liked to see him at least ask her how she's feeling.

I have to keep remind myself this is just a show, but I hate where they are going with the Bree storyline. I feel so bad for her.

Didn't see this mentioned yet so I'll post it:

Actress COURTNEY COX ARQUETTE is reportedly in talks to guest star on DH, reports Ananova.com. She will play a mental institute escapee in a future episode.

I think that Betty's story was too contrived. I think there is more to the whole thing. I am beginning to think that the guy might be the husband, there just has too be more to it.

OhMari, I love your picture. It's been a long time since I went to a race at the Boone (bikes). Fun memories from TOO long ago.

If Betty knows the guy likes to "punish" her by rattleing his chains, why on earth would she move to Wisteria Lane, with neighbors all around her? That seems really odd. Wouldn't you move out to the country or something? There's got to be much more to that story if they moved there. (BTW, how'd they get him into the basement he sure seems like a handful!?)
