Didn't that old guy let Mike have it when he thought Mike was taking too long? Maybe he bribed the cops to fake Mike having a record?

I'm just loving this show. But I do miss the days where a season played out from begining to end with no reruns.

Mike mentioned in a previous show something about killing someone, the record explains that.

Thanks for the connection, I agree he is either paying the cop off for Mike or possibly paying him for information so that he can stay ahead of the authorities. I have the feeling that he doesn't want to deal with a trial when they do find out what happened to Deidre.

Okay, due to a censor going out in our truck's transmission we did not make it home in time to catch most of Desp. Housewives. I read the spoilers so I don't feel like I missed much, but I am confused about one thing. We caught the end where they discovered Andrew with the lawn boy. I also saw Danielle leave the party crying, but am not sure why. I didn't see any mention of that on this thread so can someone please fill me in. What made her leave crying???

The show is moving so SLOW. No mention of Mary Alice, no mention of the guy who killed Huber. I'm about to take it off Tivo. Plus if it's true about no new episodes until mid March, zzzzzzzzz.

Danielle left Zach's pool party crying because John told her that he didn't want to have sex with her. This came from a conversation Bree had with John as to why Danielle would have a condom in her possession.

I loved the conversation between John and Brea " My daughter is going to offer you her virginity. Please be so gracious as not to accept it" or something like that. I guess showing only one episode a month is the way they will stretch this to 7 years.

I only watched the last 10-15 minutes of last weeks episode and I thought it looked like a decent show so I watched last nights episode. I have to admit I was pretty confused. There are so many characters and it seemed like there must be 50 storylines. Is there any hope that I will get caught up or should I just give up now?

I think between reruns, websites and us here, you could catch up! Especially if it's another month till a new episode! Or, if you want, I could PM you with the "jist" of things!

Also, the View had Mary Alice on last week. She said they definately plan to run at least 7 years and we'll be seeing much more of her to come....like in her son's flashbacks, etc.... will be nice to see her once in a while....

Can someone explain what happened last night with the mother of the 4 kids and her husband. People kept talking in my house and I totally missed it. I know she turned in the jewelry, but what did she find out about her husband.

........ Lynette was visiting husband at work & she was talking to his boss's wife.....saying how he would miss out on the kid's lives if getting the promotion.

that's pretty much it! ..found out her husband was getting the promo on the WEST coast (she thought it was IN HOUSE promo).....but, he got passed over anyway.....other than that, she didn't find out anything else!

But, after he got that promotion, they guy that they passed him over for had a heart attack at a company baseball game and will be out for 4 months, so he got the in house promotion anyway. I thought that after she talked to the boss' wife, he didn't take it, am I missing something?

Tom (Lynette's husband) went in to his boss' office the day after Tim had the heart attack on the ball field. He told his boss he'd be foolish to "hold" the promo and I think Tom was being considered again. (Guess his boss thought he was right to not "hold" the promo). So, my understanding is, he came home and told Lynette he talked to his boss, and his boss agreed and was reconsidering people for the promo. (guess Tom thought he would be a shoo-in). Then when Lynette talked to Mrs. Boss, coming from a woman's point of view, I guess she (boss' wife) told her husband Lynette's feelings, and that swayed the boss' decision. That's my interpretation anyway!

My total take on the promotion thing was that Tom told Lynette that he didn't get it. Then he did get it because the old guy had the heart attack. But, when Lynette talked to the boss's wife she said that she had pushed for Tom the whole time, and she was glad her husband decided to give it to Tom instead of the other guy. Did you notice when Lynette was talking about how Tom was going to miss out on the kids' lives that the boss's wife looked confused? Then Tom comes back and says he doesn't want the move....

I don't understand the part about giving the job to the other guy, but I think for him to say he's traveling is so that he can spend more time in his other life or whatever his secret is. I think it was an in-house promotion. And, I don't understand how he could turn the job down. He was already in his new office. And, why would they give him a nice new big office if he was going to be traveling. He is lying big time to Lynette.

As far as Mike and the old guy and the cop. I don't think that Mike is a bad guy, maybe just a PI. And, I think the old guy is paying the cop off so that Mike doesn't get in trouble. It wasn't to make sure that ??? (Terri Hatcher) would see the pictures and think badly of Mike, because the old guy met with the cop AFTER she saw those pictures.

I think it was an in-house promotion. And, I don't understand how he could turn the job down. He was already in his new office. And, why would they give him a nice new big office if he was going to be traveling. He is lying big time to Lynette.

The job promotion was to VP....so, he WOULD have a bigger office at the "home base" while doing more travelling---establishing offices on the west coast. ...and yes, he IS lying to Lynette...probably about the second life. He never told her the VP promotion he was going after would involve more travelling--to the west coast! I can see where she thought it was an IN HOUSE promo, cuz he said "VP".

And, Zach was creepy and what about Susan? She went to be before she knew where her daughter was at. Did it ever show her at home, or are we just assuming that after she took Danielle home, she came home herself?
