*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

I was really hoping for a pre rope drop BBB reservation for my little girl. Does anyone know if there is a thread on here for that? I didn't have any success when I searched for it. Thanks!

We changed from the Pop with free QS dining to OKW studio. I think we've decided to try this without a dining plan. This will be our first trip without a DP.

We are going to try for an ADR at Kona for breakfast and trying to decide on one more TS to reserve that won't be terribly expensive for two adults since we are paying OOP. Any thoughts?

I haven't seen a thread for that. Just one for the ADRS that people want to cancel. Maybe someone else has? Good luck with getting the early reservation! BBB is so much fun!

Got my dining rezzies - was up at 4am MST to secure them and got mostly what I wanted...will keep checking for the others that I wanted. Overall pretty happy!

We have to pay for some of our meals out of pocket because we are over by 2. We're going to just get a big pizza at Via Napoli & either pay for Yak & Yeti or Sci-fi out of pocket. They aren't fancy meals though & we're traveling with 2 young kids so that might not be what you're looking for. If you look at the menus you can see prices to give yourself an idea.

What did you get?

I got 2 BOG PPO - Dec 4, 8
1900 Park Fare breakfast Dec 5 on our off day and Boathouse for dinner (had to call for this one)
50s Prime Time on Dec 7 (had to call and "magically" had an opening
Beaches and Cream Dec 9 Dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner Dec 10

I'm waiting to see who the narrators for the candle light processional to determine if I need to switch things.

ADR's this Monday-cant wait!

I know what you mean. Ours is on Saturday and I think we'll be waking up a little on the earlier side. We make our ressies, I'll break out the cast iron griddle and make some celebratory bagel-wiches for the family.

If I wasn't so certain that I'd be tired and maybe a little stressed, I'd take the extra time and make Tonga Toast for the family (a WDW must do).

We just went at the end of April with a group of 11, I was able to get everything we needed at ADR time. This Christmas trip is 6 of us, so it will be a little easier. We did a bounce-back offer during the April trip, then changed to the Free Dining. Don't stress-but don't chase ADR's and Fast pass during your plans=no fun.

In April- I did sit-down table service at 3:00 to get everyone out of the sun and relax for about an hour and a half, (we did do BOG for breakfast-815am on one day-but ate breakfast in the room) right before fireworks, we did a quick service grab and go then closed the park. It worked out well.

Have fun :0

Popping in for a second to say I'll come update our front page later...we're leaving for Disneyland in 6 DAYS ( :dogdance::dogdance: ) so I want to get everything caught up before we leave...and I make ADRs while on vacation...on California time :scared1: - Who knows, I may not adjust well to the time change and be awake anyway, LOL!!

Happy to see that many of you are having success with your reservations!

XLSM- Changed resort to All Star Sports, (same dates) Christmas Party December 11 and 13th- enjoy your trip!

Very excited for our 12/21-12/31 stay! This is our 5th time to WDW - but this is the first time I'm having angst over flights, and I need advice!

The flights that I have to choose from on our planned arrival day are rotten on times (either depart at 6 am or 5 pm)...we usually fly Southwest because that's what's available, but I'm not finding anything much with other airlines either.

Will there likely be additional flights added as we get a little closer to our trip date, or do I need to be planning for a different arrival day right now?

We ended up adding a day at the front of our trip after checking flight prices and times. We got lucky and ended up with a noon flight out of our home airport. We fly Delta, but we checked other airlines just in case, and it still ended up being the best deal.

I would play around with your arrival date and see if something better pops up. I hate figuring out flights, I'm sorry it's stressful!! Good luck!

I just booked our Dec 2016 trip at the BWV for 12/17-22. Christmas party on 12/18. So looking forward to my 11 yr old son's first trip and all the awesome Christmas decorations.

Updated the first page...@gemax you slid in just as I was finishing up, good timing!!

:welcome: everyone!!

We just booked our "last minute" trip. We booked right at our 180 day window and failed miserably at securing any of our ADR's. We are coming 11/30-12/5, but may adjust dates since I see Pop Warner and Cheerleading come mid trip. We are optimistic for securing our reservations and looking forward to all the magic this Holiday season.

Welcome! Gotcha added to the front page :-)

I'm hoping that paddlefish will open prior to Dec so I can switch boathouse to that. I wanted to try Fultons on the last trip but didn't get a chance
