*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

ADR's Done!!! OK, for those of you who didn't do it yet, some TIPS FOR YOU!!

- Make a list beforehand and put it in order of reservations difficulty to obtain. For example:
1. BOG Monday 12/19 8:00 a.m. BACKUP Crystal Palace 8:00 a.m.
2. Cinderella Royal Table 12/20 6:00 p.m.
3. etc...
Have that list next to you. Made it much easier!!

- Have a BACKUP restaurant/date next to each one on your list in case your first choice not available. Trust me...when you're doing the ADR's you are in a bit of a frantic mode and it's difficult to think quickly, so be prepared in case your first choice date not available.

- Input your credit card and cell phone in your "Disney Experience" PRIOR to your ADR day. That saves valuable time that morning.

- Put all the restaurants that you will try to get ADR's for on your "Wish List" in Disney Experience (Just click on the Heart in the upper right corner of the restaurant), again PRIOR to your ADR day. I kept going back to my Wish List after each ADR was confirmed. Much quicker than going through all of Disney Dining each time.

- I had my my initial screen ready to go at 5:45 with my restaurant, # in party. I was just waiting for 6:00 a.m. Then 6:00 a.m. came and my dates didn't open up!! I had to open another window! So, I would wait on your "Wish List" page until 6:00 a.m. AND THEN click on your first dining choice.

- If you know the approximate time you want, click on that rather than "Lunch" or "Dinner".

- After confirming each reservation, go back to your Wish List and go for the next one. You can change times later if you decide you need to; though they may not be available.

So how did I do? Well, I did snag a BOG for 8:00 a.m., but I wanted it for Lunch another day and was not able to get it. No biggie...just chose another restaurant. I can keep checking if something opens, but at least I have Lunch ADR that day at Cinderella's Royal Table.

Also one I wasn't able to get was 1900 Park Fare for the day/hour I needed it. So I had to do a switcheroo of days as I was combining it with Pirates and Pals. Again, I was prepared with Backup scenarios in case I didn't get my first choice, so all good :)

Lastly, I called 407-939-7529 at 7:00 a.m. and waited less than 3 minutes to book Pirates and Pals. So, a pretty smooth morning :)

QUESTION FOR YOU GUYS:

1. Many of the Disney Springs/Boardwalk Restaurants not booking out that far yet. Is that common?

Thank you and Good luck!!!!

Fantasmic sold out for our dates- bummer.

what does that mean? you were hoping too get a fantasmic dining package thingy? or you wanted a FP for it and it's full?

i am asking as we are hoping to do fantasmic (just see the show) and wasn't going to use a FP so wondering if i should reconsider.

Yes-every date until December 16 is booked for all 3 places. Its a dining package- So I don't believe you can fast pass it.

I'm not sure that's accurate. I don't think any tables for the F! Dining package in Dec. have been released yet. That's why DW website said "no tables available" when you searched. I would keep checking for a F! Package. Here's a thread where others that are waiting too:

They just opened up later times in the evening for several restaurants at DS so be watching for the package to open up soon. Also I believe you can FP Fantasmic, I believe it is a tier 1 FP.

Tomorrow is finally my ADR day! I'm feeling a little anxious this time. Usually my trips aren't planned this far out so I'm used to having to search over and over again for what I need. I have everything written down and I'm ready to go but knowing that so many other people are ready as well just makes me nervous! I'm used to being late to the game but I just want my first real ADR day to go smoothly!

Which restaurants are you looking for at Disney Springs and Boardwalk? I have booked STK and Raglan Road for early Dec. I've also seen morimoto boathouse and t-Rex available.

I didn't have a real preference...I booked Paradiso 37. Wanted Crossroads House of Blues but don't think it's opened up for reservations yet. Boardwalk I was thinking Flying Fish, but again, not yet taking reservations. Thanks, though! :)

We are going for a short trip 12-20 - 12-24 and to be honest I am alittle worried. The only place that is a must do for our family is Ohana's dinner but it doesn't sound promising from people's reports. I have never had an issue getting a reservation in the past and have been during free dinning 4 out of our 5 times. I worry because we have less wiggle room with a short trip and it is closer to Christmas than we have ever been before.

I was worried about booking last December due to free dining, and because I didn't book til October so a lot of stuff was taken already. I kept searching everyday and I found everything I wanted eventually. Hopefully you'll be able to get what you want first try, and if not just keep looking, something pops up eventually! That's why I'm not trying to really freak myself out, I always played the searching game in the past so if I miss something tomorrow I know I'll find it eventually!

Good luck tomorrow morning. We're arriving Dec. 10th which is the first day of Free Dining for that month. My ADR day was on Monday and like you I was a little excited/nervous. I was able to get everything I was hoping for (BOG dinner, CRT dinner, 3 PPO breakfasts, etc., etc.) at my preferred days and times so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

Just an FYI: I was using multiple devices @6:00am (laptop w/Windows10, iPad and iPhone) and my +10 ONLY opened up on the laptop. On iPad and iPhone I only had access to the first day of my trip. I've read on hear that this happens a lot and some have to wait until phone lines open at 7:00am to call and book with a CM. Hope everything goes smoothly and you get everything you want.:wizard:

I REALLY appreciate that you took the time to write out all this information! I am going to print it out on Monday when I get to work. A new trick I learned from you is putting the reataurants in "favorites". Thank you!

Also Im staying st SSR and since my family of four is older (dd-22 and ds-18) I had planned most our dinners in DTD so we dont have to worry about transportstion during this extremely busy time. Can you explain what you mean about those restaurants? Are they not available to book with the regular Disney Dining?

We will be there at the busiest time of the year and thanks for the new tips for me.

Thanks for the tip! I was likely going to do everything from my iPhone but I'll have my computer started just in case now. I'm hoping everything just goes smoothly!
