We're in! Just booked yesterday. Nov 29 - Dec 7. And we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel for the first time!

I am so excited - this is the shortest amount of time I have ever had to wait since it is only 10 weeks away. We usually book months in advance.

I didn't even realize (silly Canadian) that I booked my trip around thanksgiving. Anyone been there just after thanksgiving? Is it going to be busy? I expected Nov 30th (Sunday) to be busy because it's the weekend, but what about the rest of the week?

This is THE time we love to go! Traditionally, we fly in the Sunday after Thanksgiving and leave the following weekend. It's not so-so crowded on the Thanksgiving Sunday (as compared to the days following Christmas) and we usually spend the evening hitting minor rides and dining. And getting FPs for the rides that still have them.

Mon - Thursday. BEAUTIFUL. The parks close earlier in the weekdays, but you get more ride-time with the smaller crowds. It all works out! Crowds pick up Thursday afternoon/evening and expect a busier Friday (daytime), very crowded Friday night, moderate-busy Saturday (daytime), very crowded Saturday night, and the same pattern for Sunday w/ a quieter evening than that of Friday or Saturday.

Weekdays - more time devoted to rides and counter service.
Weekends - less time on rides, more time spent watching shows, parades, table service, waiting for fireworks/Fantasmic!

We are staying at the GCH from 12/22-12/26! My first time at the GCH, at DL for the holidays, and my youngest sons first trip! I'm a lil bummed that I've just decided to use DISBoards! Better late than never, I guess!

Time is moving by so slowly....! This is our third trip and our last 2 trips we only booked about 3 months in advance so having booked 5 months in advance this time is killing me.

Have to hold on... worth the wait...

How's everyone else doing with the loooong wait until December?

We are heading to DL from Denver Dec 3 and 4! Excited to be staying at the Howard Johnson in a premium room with a view of DL. Our boys are 4 and 22 months...can't wait to share a place I love and see it through their eyes!

My wife and I will be there Nov 30 - Dec 5th!!!! Staying at the VGC!!!!!! We are pretty excited we will be enjoying our 5th anniversary!!!!

We are going the exact same days! Staying GC (couldn't get the Villa) for my son's 16th birthday! My first trip to DL in 27 years and his first trip ever!

We just made the decision to head to Disneyland for a couple days on our Christmas Vacation. 12/28 to 12/30. So excited! It has been 22 years since I have been and it will be the first time for DH and the kiddos! I can't wait. We are just getting ready to decide where to stay. I am torn between the Disneyland Hotel and the Paradise Pier. I am going to book it later tonight or tomorrow! So exicted!

YAY!! It'll be like a whole new experience for you since so much has changed over the years. I haven't stayed at DLH, but can tell you that PPH is great. The staff is awesome, and the rooms are quite big.

Either way, you can't lose!

We will see. If I can get tickets yes, but with 2 young kids if not we will be over in DCA both nights. I am waiting to see all the information.

From the DIS boards Disneyland Christmas info page...

'This Disneyland holiday tradition takes place on Main Street U.S.A. and features a full Orchestra, Christmas Tree Chorus performing renditions of traditional Christmas songs and a retelling of the Christmas Story by a celebrity narrator."

If you can't get in on the severely limited number of tickets, my understanding is there is a standing line that forms on Main St. later in the afternoon. With a child so young he might get bored very easily with all the waiting.
