yayyyy!!! got CP for christmas eve (with le cellier)!!! speaker is still TBA, but how can you go wrong on christmas eve?

I can not believe the waits to book the CP package. It almost makes me want to book one so I don't feel left out LOL. I have no desire to go though.

Now I am just waiting for the new Mexican restaurant to open up ADRs I am ALL over that one.

I called right before 7am and got the not open yet message (like to make sure i am calling the right #!lol). Then hit redial on landline and cell for an hour and 30 minutes almost with continued busy tone or a ring and then a male 'all circuits are busy' or a female 'due to challenges beyond our control, we cannot place your call'..........so FRUSTRATING!!!

Wow, our stories start out similar, I too called just before 7 (6 our time) and got the not open message! But When I dialed directly back I guess I got lucky cuz I got right in. I am so happy you were able to get what you want after all, good to know good people!

Started calling at 4:55am my time....FINALLY got through to Disney at 6:05.....hold for 30 minutes.....THEN Got December 11 CP!
Le Chefs de France Dinner and the 8:15 CP With Whoopi! YAY!!!

LOL- i am waiting too on Hacienda. once i know if i can get it, then all my ressies will be complete and I can drop a few more i am holding as maybes!

We have done MVMCP quite a few times now but my sister is going with us this Dec.1-10 and she has never been to Disney around Christmas time. My question is if you had to choose between going to MVMCP on Dec. 3-4-5 taking into consideration that they will be taping that weekend which day would be the best time to go. It looks like tickets are available for the 3rd and 5th, and both days are discounted. I would definitely choose the 5th! Friday will probably be busy because it's heading into the weekend and it may absorb some visitors who are turned off by the weekend's taping schedule.

I am so excited to go on Christmas Eve, too!! I got up at 5:30 and hit redial on 2 phones for over 45 minutes. Then was finally on hold for another 30min. I got Teppan Edo for the middle show, which should be great for my kiddos.

LOL I feel left out too!! I did the CLP last year (dining package with Teppan Edo) and really enjoyed it, but when I described it to DF, he didn't seem that keen so we're not going to book a dining package... he is however very excited about MVMCP - for the snow, cookies & hot chocolate!!

lol- don't feel left out. i think after i see it once, i'll be good for another few years. I've only seen it one time and it was back in 1996 (Louis Gosset Jr. who was awesome!!!). It isn't one of those things I want to do every trip, but every 5 years or so.

15 weeks! time really is flying! my DL trip is only 2 weeks away! i got my package in the mail for that this last week- park hoppers, luggage tags and backpack!

That's what I was thinking of glad I got a second opinion. My sister has no idea what she is in store for. Right now she is with her husband on a business trip to Swedan(she travels with him alot) but she is soooo excited that she is going with us to Disney, how can she not be.

Today has just been the best day!!! Finally got the ADR for LC, and on the exact date we wanted it! Now it looks like we really have our ADRs in place. The only thing I'm debating is whether to pay OOP for a lunch at Via Napoli one day. Everything is coming together...can't wait for December!

same here! i started calling before business hours, then got the busy signal and automated 'busy' recordings for almost an hour and a half, and then was on hold for another 30 minutes! we are doing the early show, too! i am excited to find out who our speaker is!!!

Well, I did NOT call for CP package reservations this morning...and now I'm glad! It sounds like a lot of people were on hold forever or couldn't get through. Since we are staying CL at AKL, I was able to request the IPO book our ADR for me. It was killing me to wait to hear, but I finally did hear back from them and we got the exact time and date we wanted!

12/12 at 1:45pm at LeCellier! Woot!!!

I was so tempted to call because I didn't trust the IPO to book it for me...but all is well.

Our kids dont know. I think our current plan is to leave right after school on the 16th and in theory they will be asleep by time we check in on the 16th. Then we will wake up on the 17th and walk into the park SURPRISE!

i'll try and clear it out some. it shouldn't be a big deal, just arrive a little early and when you check in, let them know it is only 3 now. We've had some of our party get sick and not join us and it is never a problem if you have 'less' than the ADR (only if you have more!). so should be fine. The ressie i think did note a child too since my son is 2.

You cannot 'transfer', no. The only options are to cancel it and hope someone else can rebook it- although once cancelled it is available to whoever calls first and happens to catch it. However, i can just provide my existing ADR # to a friend if I can't use my ADR. Heck, I've made ADRs for my family where I didn't go personally. Never had a problem- as long as they had the ADR# and the name it was booked under.

The Cantina de San Angel- which is the eating venue on the water outside of mexico (and previously all fast food) is being rennovated and will now be a 'flex' restaurant, serving both fast food for lunch/dinner and then also have an area that changes to a sit down table service dinner at night, with views of illuminations. The table service part is called Hacienda de San Angel- it is supposed to open in September sometime for soft opening. ADRs not available yet, hoping they will be in early/mid Sept.
