Me too. Although, after seeing how much we are paying for the extra night I added , I'm thinking of dropping a night. We were just going to leave early the next morning anyway. We'd only loose 1/2 a day of park time and save a lot of $$$.

A true story - we were in a staff meeting when the manager said we'd be getting white noise machines for our cubicles. So I piped up, "Oh, a Cone of Silence!" Those my age and older laughed. Those 30 and under laughed, because of Nick at Night and TVLand. The ones in the middle - no clue!

You are correct. There are 3 separate offers.

Okay, just checked this site and I see that some of the choices I made are not great - busy park days. Do people find that it really matters? Are the crowds that much bigger? I did pick some of the days because of the evening extra magic hours...now I am wondering if I should change a few things around.

When are you going exactly? early december isn't too bad- more crowded than it used to be- sure. But if you are there after the 21st, then yeah, it is super busy and crowded. if it is early Dec- don't worry about it too much. I actually like doing evening EMH and basically TGM and all the others tell you to avoid EMH and rate that park higher on the crowd scale due to EMH......however, we just visit less popular attractions with no lines or enjoy the atmosphere of strolling around- we just consider it extra park time, usually we hit all the big attractions at RD, so evening EMH is just time to enjoy and take in less popular stuff or enjoy the park at night. same goes for morning- we usually will do morning EMH and leave that park by lunch when it is getting crowded.

not old at all! love Animal House..........and even more- love me some Star Trek. yep, i am a sci fi geek! love both the original and other series, although Capt Kirk is my fav (Capt Picard is a close second though!). BSG is my all time fav----frackin love it!

Correct, it's three separate offers.

For us, our original plan is still the best. We did a split stay with a monster pin at 40% and then free dining. Even the 2011 discounts won't work for us. I'm assuming they'll extend the room discounts to next September or we'll just use a bounceback when we go in December.

I did see Animal House but I was in 6th grade. A friends older brother wanted to go so, since he was watching us for the day, that is what we saw. So I don't remember too much of the movie.

No Worries. I didn't even realize when I made the comment that some people might not get the reference. The movie is pretty old now. In the future I will provide a link to youtube videos when quoting a movie, tv show etc...
I also got to remember to add emoticons so people know I am just messing around. Humor can sometimes be difficult if you are just typing it.

I agree. I think alot of the Avoid EMH type of things are geared towards summer and other times when the parks are packed. If you go during non-peak times, I think it doesn't apply as much.

I am a big fan of Star Trek. We are implementing a new software for a department where I work, and it seems like everyone does the same process different ways. I suggested the Change Management them should include "Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated!" but that didn't go over too well.

I'm so excited! I just got the room only discount on our first night, standard room only at AKL, and then I was able to get free dining on our 8 night package after that!!! Both of those discounts total to about $1400 savings!
So now I guess I will be responsible and put most of that towards credit card bills though I will use some of it as extra spending money for WDW.

okay, so I'm confused - we are going Dec 2 - 13 - could we book our first night under the free gift card promotion to take advantage of that and then book the rest of the reservation under Free Dining?

Unfortunately, no. Each discount has a minimum number of nights required. The only discount where the minimum is one night is the Room Discount. However, it looks like you may be staying enough nights to potentially do a split stay with all three promotions!

Ok, I'll provide the basics and hopefully this won't be too long. I'm taking my family Dec 21-26 to All star Sports. Then we are meeting the other 11 people on my husband's side and staying in a house from 26th-30th (we leave on 30th, everyone else on Jan 2nd). So, I am trying to plan out those 3.5 days we'll all have together as much as possible since we have a lot we want to do together. One family always 'has' to do MK their first day, so that is the plan on Mon. It's unlikely the other family will arrive until much later in the day, but they are less picky. So, Tues the plan is AK and then hop over to MK (no specific reservations for this day other than a dinner offsite for DH & his bros & mom). Wed's plan is for Epcot for princess breakfast at 11 and then try to get back into MK again. I want to do the Pirate's League for the boys, but have no idea what time we'll get there, and if MK will even still be open when we do. Does anyone have a feel for if/when MK will close on Wed the 29th? Should we take the boys to MK first thing and then hop to Epcot for the 11am ADR and plan to stay there awhile longer?
Also, is this the kind of discussion I should start a PTR for and ask input in (since I will certainly have more questions as I debate every possible tweak I could make in my plans...)?
