I need to book ME too. What info do they need, just flight and confirmation #? Also, I know that Southwest had started operating for luggage check in at the resorts, but on the ME page on the Disney site, they are still not listed as a participating airline.

We got boarding passes and they took our luggage back to the airport from Pop in November 2009. They are a participating airline.

I got the following info from this thread on the Transportation board:

Southwest Airlines........ At this time, SW is available at the majority of WDW resorts with the exception of OKW and CBR....these resorts are not online due to lack of storage facilities. They will most likely come online soon. Because this is a test, it may not be available at all times. Aspects regarding this test are subject to change at any moment. We are listing all these resorts as 'test phase' since 100% of the resorts are not available for SW use.

Tip on how to quickly pack at the end of vacaton: Pack almost everything the night before except for toiletries and the outfit your wearing the last day. Do not forget to add the toiletry bag to your luggage when done! (left it there in august thank you disney for sending it home to me! ) Make sure if you are using magical express that you follow all the rules for the luggage because we missed something and it caused a hassle. I forget what it was (maybe calling 24 hours in advance?????) but anyways having everything packed and ready to go the night before makes for a quick get away. We are also hoping to sneak some park time in the morning before we fly out...

Make sure you get there 15 minutes earlier. The first time I read the packet wrong and arrived at the pickup time. It was early in the morning (5am) and no one else on the bus and the driver wouldn't let us on. :confused3 But another bus did come a few minutes later and we were all set.

what do you guys mean by SW being a part. airline? whats the diff? Im so lost Ive never used ME before
We've never done it, but you can check your bags the morning you check-out at the resort, so you don't have to worry about checking them at the airport. :goodvibes I think you have to do it by a certain time, and we've never been ready early enough. :rolleyes1

Has anyone done the "World Showcase Wine Walk Passport"?

Is it available in December?

I cannot find info about it anywhere other than a bonus for those booking a vacation on the Mousetacular site...

Bonus Offer
All guests, 21 or over, booking a 3 night or more package (room, meal plan and park passes) and at least 1 event will receive a World Showcase Wine Walk Passport! Stroll through the World Showcase and enjoy 6 unique wine samples.

I googled it, and got quite a few hits. Here is something form the Mom's Panel on Disney's site.

The World Showcase Wine Walk in Epcot has traditionally been offered year round.
You request your 'Wine Walk Passport' in the Germany Pavilion, Italy Pavilion or France Pavilion. Keep your receipt once you purchase it because you'll need to present it with the Passport in each country to receive your wine. It was around twenty dollars for 6 2oz wine samples, but that price and quantity is subject to change.
Thanks so much for thinking of the Disney Moms Panel when you had a question, please let us know if we can help again!

Here are a couple of other sites that talk about it.

PlanetaryTraveler
DisneyFoodBlog
PartyThroughTheParks

After reading the last one, it sounds like you would be better off just sampling wines as you go through the countries. The cost is basically the same, but you get to choose what you want. I could probably get good a sloshed by the time I got done touring the countries.
I guess it is free when going to Mousetacular, but otherwise it will cost $20. You get two 2oz. drinks at 3 countries, Germany, France, and Italy.

Just joined the DIS board and found this thread...

Myself and extended family on DH side are going Dec 5-12, at POP. Can't wait, have already started throwing things into a suitcase as i think of stuff to take.
Got a calendar ready for my DD to start counting down the days starting in October. We did that the last trip, she put a sticker in the square for each day that passed.

My own countdown on my computer will begin around the same time!

:yay:

Good Morning December Trip Peeps! :goodvibes I just found out that my 23 y.o. step-son will be joining us for our DL adventure next week and surprising our kids! He's being SO cute about it and is really excited to come with us. He even called me yesterday to ask about the Glow Fest in CA Adventure. Hopefully 2 days at DL will tide me over until December!!! :santa:

Did I mention that I added a night on? And it will be at a 3rd hotel? So my split turned into a tri! 12/12 to 12/20. Yay! I can not wait for the summer to be over ( I am not a summer lover anyway!) Let's go December!! :santa:

I can not wait for december but I definitly do not want to wish the summer away!

Im working on a ton of DIY gifts and pre travel packages for my young cousins! And Im soo excited. The DISigners on the forum are FABULOUS!!!!!!

Hows the planning going for everyone?!

4 Canadian newbies, all super excited to be going to WDW for the FIRST TIME!!!!!

December 8 - 16... (and the monsters get off school to boot, woohoo)

Caroline in Toronto

I am excited, I have booked a sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness after my dinner at HDDR. All my ADR's are done and I don't plan on changing them again :) Split stay at POFQ and Poly all set. Plane tickets secured. Just waiting on CP package to finalize everything...........I imagine alot of us on this thread are waiting for Disney to announce those plans!

I've been thinking about a Sleigh Ride. Is it worth a trip to FW just for that? We always take a horse drawn carriage ride at Thanksgiving here at home, since we'll have just done that the week before we go to Disney, I'm not sure if it would really be very different. :confused3
