I'm sad I cant get the free dining since I rented DVC points for this trip but I cant really complain.. I paid $740 including paypal fees for 7 nights at Saratoga and AKV including two nights Sav. view. Im guessing thats still better.

Um, hi it is me again. mrsksomeday, the person that posted oh about a day ago that we weren't going in December anymore just in October . Well it seems I should have waited one more day because some of our DIS friends get to go in December now so the December portion of our trip is back on .

We are going Dec. 2nd - 10th staying at Pop Century, going to MVMCP on Dec. 2nd.

Now that we have the free dining plan (Quick Service), I am beginning to think it is worth upgrading. If it is only $10/night as I read here, it might be worth it for us. We take a break every pm by eating a late lunch/early dinner at a TS wherever we are. Will use one counter service for breakfast at our resort. If we stick with the QS, we would be paying OOP for the table service and not sure how we would use the 2nd counter service. Snacks are not an issue-- will use however many we have where ever. Are there any restrictions on the entrees you can order with the DDP? Are you allowed to order any entree on the menu?
Can DDP be used for Fantasmic Packages or Candlelight Processional Dining Packages?

I would definitely upgrade! There are no restrictions on what you can order, and both packages are available with the dining plan - depending on what you book they will use either 1 or 2 TS credits.

We upgraded and I would totally recommend it!

Alright well I did it. I am waitlisted now for a 1bd lake view at BLT for 12/18-12/21 if it comes through I am going to do the deluxe dining plan for those dates and the regular plan for my 12/21-12/26 OKW stay. I will never be happy with just leaving things alone LOL

My dates have changed! We are now going December 21-January 4 with free dining upgraded to plus dining. I shifted my trip backwards 3 days, removed 1 day from the end, and added free dining. Keeping everything else the same, I gained 2 days and the trip is $412 cheaper!! This is just INSANE. What started as a simple 6 night trip during the week of Thanksgiving has turned into a 14 night non-stop extravaganza over Christmas and New Years.

I will say that making the changes was a bit challenging. The CM had to call in reinforcements, but they stuck with it and were able to get the system to give me the FD. Apparently, the computer system wasn't prepared to deal with free dining in January. I could have book it online though - just didn't want the hassle of getting refunds and paying again.

Thanks, we are still going in October, 22nd - 25th at the Poly. We are meeting about 20 people from the DIS/Enchanted. TnT have rebooked their trip. We are to excited to get to meet them. I can't wait to see the castle all lit up again.

I hope I haven't made a huge mistake here...

For the same price as 7 nights at POFQ with dining (not free) I got 9 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge, pool view (free dining). I'm not completely sure we can go 2 nights early. I'll have to get it OK'd with the school and sell our tickets to a play. SO... what happens if we can't actually go the 2 extra days? Can we pay for them anyway and just get there when we get there? It wont cost us any more than it would have to stay at POFQ anyway. I made the reservation, now I'm worried about it.

We recently booked 12/11-12/19 (added an extra day to the pin) at ASSp. This is Dbf's first time to Disney, and it's even more perfect with him coming home from Deployment in October.

Thanks, I'll try that. But, this would make it 7 days. I already plan to pull them for 5. And, I really hate to give up our tickets to A Christmas Carol. They are non-refundable. Just can't decide what to do...

i would upgrade for sure! yes, DDP can be used for the packages, however, i think they often require 2 TS credits per person, you have to check depending on the package and restaurants offered.

Well, I have been sucked into the Free Dining. I booked Pop Century Preferred room with the regular DDP, 4 day base tickets for 2 adults Dec 21-26 for $1524.

I have to decide which to keep now (my job will also decide this as well) which I keep, the Dolphin for 3 nights adding 1 night possibly, or the Pop. I don't really know what I want to do, there are so many different factors to decide on. I think the Pop ressie is saving me quite a bit and giving us more time as well as more food.

Hi everyone! I can't believe I just now found this thread, anyway count us in for December. DH and I will be there with my parents Nov. 29-Dec. 8 at AKL CL! We are actually going to stay in a standard or pool view on the 29th since that is arrival day and our flight doesn't even land till 6 but then we will move up to Club level the next morning.
I saw there are a few others at AKL while we are, hope you all have a great trip and I'll wave if I notice any DIS stuff on you.

Hi everyone!

Wow this thread has been buzzing since the Free Dining got extended this week!

No chance of FD for our trip.. as we're DVC lol - but it's not something I've ever really thought about, I don't think DF and I eat enough to make the most of FD!
Although this trip we will be getting Annual Passes for the first time plusa Tables in Wonderland card.. can't wait to have these!!


With all this free dining being added.. does anyone have any new ADRs to add to our list?!

How does the TIWC work in regards to the person of that card being there? My dad is an AP holder so I guess he has one.. he will be with me sometimes but not all the time.. will i be able to use it even when hes not there
