Come on...EVERYONE....all together now....:wizard: good weather....:wizard: all the ADR's we want...... :wizard: buses waiting for us each morning.....:wizard: let's get some pixie dust going here! :wizard::wizard:

December 18-23 at Old Key West. My sons first trip. He will be 17 months. Taking 4 grandparents with us and planning to have a blast.

Does it rain a lot in Dec???

Do you pay when you book the sleigh?

Rain - it's possible - but it's not the "rainy season" then. However, you could get a rainy day...

Yes - you pay when you book the sleigh ride. It's $60.

I'm putting in my no rain vibes too...:wizard::wizard::wizard:...just in case.

Ok, Emma. You convinced me! :lovestruc I just booked the carriage ride for 12/11 at 8:30.

I changed our Whispering Canyon ADR from 7:20 to 6:30 and then booked the sleigh ride at 8:30. I hope that will be enough time! The lady at Disney said there's an internal bus system that runs from the campground to the lodge every 15-20 minutes.

Such a "Christmasy" thing to do!!! :santa:

Yay glad you decided to book one!
Good to know about the bus between FW & WL.. I've read there's also a trail & a boat... our ADR is at 6.50pm and sleigh ride is at 8.30pm, sure that'll be plenty of time, we don't usually take more than an hour for a meal.. unless DF gets carried away with that bottomless skillet at WCC?! hehe

last December, we only had one evening where it rained for an hour.. but it was light drizzle, nothing like the sudden thunderstorms/down pours in the summer months!

and yes, you pay for the sleigh rides when booking :santa:
The CM I spoke to said that the ride would still happen if there was rain, but not inclement weather.. fingers crossed we have a warm & mild December in WDW this year!
There'll always be snow on Main Street anyway :rolleyes1 !

Emma princess: x

I will set the alarm for 4:30 so I can be online at 5 AM when it opens up. YUK! My one day off work to sleep in. But if I get the ressies for the castle its way worth it. I did the Dis link to figure out the earlest day I could do the ressies.

I agree, the Aloha was ok for us, it's a one time thing to say we done it, but the Hoop Dee Doo is so much more fun, I guess it's because they get the crowd involved in the show. We're doing this again on December 3rd right before going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It will be our last night for our Grand Gathering (22 people) and I wanted to go out with a bang!! :rotfl2:

That sounds great! We're going to do it while we are there, it is a family tradition!! We are looking into trying to do it after we go to Harry Potter land one night we are there...

thanks! has anyone been to the spirit of aloha? i was planning on paying out of pocket (we have the DDing plan) so we could sit in front, but i've been reading mixed reviews. any opinions?

We are going for our 3rd time :rotfl: in December. It is cheesy, but we enjoy it. The guy that does stuff with fire is amazing! I don't think you would have a problem seeing even if you weren't sitting up front, we have been in the middle and had no issues.

Just remember that they can and will cancel the show if the temperature dips below 55 degrees.

We're doing Spirit of Aloha this year. We're booked for the 7th, at the 5:15 show. We did Mickey's Backyard BBQ last time we were at the World, and we'll do SoA this year. We'll do Hoop Dee Doo next on our next vacation, probably in 2012. Gotta hit 'em all! :cutie:

You will have such a wonderful time during the Christmas season. We have been at Disney during each holiday and somehow we always find the Christmas season is the most special time, all the decorations and special events & the most important, making memories for the kids. We surprised my step kids during a July 4th trip, they thought we were going to the Alamo in Texas but surprised them when we were at the airport, we sat by a coffee shop, right outside the gate for Orlando and if you could only imagine the kids faces when watching all the other families going to Orlando and wearing their Disney clothes. When they started boarding the plane, we asked the kids, if they really wanted to see the Alamo and they said 'Yes' but we knew different, so we said "why don't we save the Alamo for another trip and instead go to Disney World". LOL :rotfl:I had both kids in shock and they started to cry, they were so happy!!! :yay:

What a fantastic story! That is sooo awesome!!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

So far our ADR's are as follows

12/4 Kona cafe-breakfast @840a
12/4 Whispering Canyon Cafe-dinner @745p

12/5 Akershus-breakfast @825a
12/5 Biergarten-dinner @ 620pm

12/7 Cape May Cafe-breakfast @8am

We may change them up slightly but this is our base so far and everything is booking up fast!

We are having dinner at Whispering Canyon 12/11 at 7:20pm. Would it be feasible to eat and then do the carriage ride after dinner at maybe 9:00?

Okay, would this be crazy? Do Universal on Thursday Dec. 9th (Harry Potter for DD16) It probably closes at 7Pm, leave there, do Sleigh RIde at FW (perhaps taxi there to save time) then Hoop Dee DOo at 9??

I wanna go to the MVMCP! where can I make reservations for this?

I just made breakfast reservations for 12/5 at akershus and dinner reservations sunday night at biergarten!

Have you been to the Biergarten lately? FOr many years it was a "Don't miss" for us but they ruined it for us when they went to the buffet thing.. :( Hoping they go back...
