**Official December 2010 Thread!!**

Aack! So as it turns out, even though I am awake at 5am EVERY DAY since I work overnights, it will do me no good for booking ADR's since my computer at work does not have a new enough version of Internet Explorer! Obviously I tried to download a newer version, but you have to be a system administrator to do so, and I'm pretty sure that they would look at me like I was crazy if I went to my boss and told her I needed it to book my ADR's for my December vacation! I have had to settle with getting my dad to get up 30 min earlier to do it. I have tried very hard to impress the importance of the situation on him, so hopefully he "gets" it. He is supposed to be getting our CG reservations in the morning... Luckily our ressie's for the 17th aren't all that coveted or important, so I feel that it can wait till 5:30 when he normally gets uo Lucky him!

Anyone tried for a Le Cellier ressie for 12/16 yet? I tried and it says no available times, but yet, I can get 12 noon on 12/14 & 12/15.

interesting on Le Cellier and good to know. I am really hoping to get Le Cellier for our CP package. if not, i am thinking tutto italia......or maybe coral reef (we actually really enjoyed our lunch there this past dec).

Michelle--those are our exact choices in the same order! I've never been to either tutto or coral reef but thought they might be fun if we can't get LeCellier.

i went online to see how the 190 days thing all works out and to make a reservation. no problem getting a late dinner for CM on 12/16. and if our flights don't get us to wdw in time, we will cancel.

it was about 5 hours after opening and i was playing around to see how quickly the best-selling places sell out, and wasn't at all surprised to see CRT had no availability. wasn't surprised to see le cellier had no avaiability, either. here's the weird part.... i couldn't get a lunch or dinner ADR at the TS restaurant at POR (Boatwright's Dining Hall)! is there some mad rush for that place??? what's that about?!?

i think you should just keep trying. i think there may be something weird about when seatings are released into the system for booking.

What is the story with San Angel? I read first that it had expanded, then that it was gone and is being replaced. I really would like to book at the newer place, which is supposed to have a great view of illuminations, but some comments here lead me to believe that you can't book there yet. I was able to do an ADR for it though. Anyone give me the straight scoop?

Hi - the Cantina de San Angel has been closed for a few months and is being rebuilt.. I believe once it's reopened (fall 2010) that it'll be a counter service during the day & table service at night.
The San Angel Inn (inside the Mexico pavillion, in the pyramid) is still open & table service.. I guess this is the one you have an ADR for?

LOL I have exactly the same problem at work!! Our internet explorer isn't quick enough.. so I have to wait til I get home in the evenings to make our ADRs.. luckily, with the 5 hour time difference it's not too bad over here, no getting up at 5/6am like you guys have to!
I actually considered emailing IT dept to ask if we could upgrade the Explorer - but couldn't think how to explain it.. "well, I'm going to Disney World in over 6 months time and I need to book restaurants online.."

Just tried to do our 16th December ADR and there's absolutely nothing available.. even Turf Club at SSR - fingers crossed it's a system error! i'll try again in a few hours!

What time is this class? We are arriving that afternoon but we are driving so we can get there whenever. I have 3 that may be interested. If its really early then we will have to pass though.

Usually the class begins an hour before park opening, so 8am (park opens at 9am).

That's odd. Boatwright's is not good at all. I am guessing it is some glitch or something......or could it be that they haven't opened ADRs there for some reason? glitch or they are keeping it open due to POP Warner possibly being there as overflow? anyone know what moderate is the overflow this year? I know it was POR the year we went and the food court was crazy, but i don't remember boatwright's if it was busy or not.

Barbie hit the nail on the head- San Angel is the sit down restaurant inside the pavilion, there are no changes to it- it is open. I am not a big fan of the food there, but we've eaten there many times since we like the atmosphere (okay, and margaritas)....but now that great margarita bar is open (try the jalapeno margarita!). The outdoor fast food - cantina de san angel is the one closed and under construction. word is it will continue to be fast food service for lunch and turn into a sit down restaurant for dinner. apparently this is a test for the future development of other restaurants that might 'switch' between lunch/dinner for fast food/sit down. I am curious how the food will be different from San Angel Inn for dinner. but we hope to get a ressie here, since they should offer more illuminations seating!

Just finished our ADRs! I used the 190 days out feature and it worked great! We are arriving on the 11th and will probably grab a QS somewhere in Downtown Disney. Here are the ADRs:

12/12-50's Prime Time Cafe-11:30AM

12/13-The Crystal Palace-11:30AM

12/14-Biergarten-5:50PM

12/15-Akershus-11:55AM

12/16-Liberty Tree Tavern-5:10PM/MVMCP (both tentative)

12/17-Tusker House-10:20AM

We are trying to stick with our normal meal times for the most part. We are early risers and will be hungry for those early lunches. I'm hoping our tentative turns into an absolutely! Go to see if we can come up with that extra cash!

We have managed to get our first two days exactly the way we wanted!

12/16 California Grill, 7:45 pm
12/17 Biergarten (lunch) 12:30 pm
Le Cellier (dinner) 7:45 pm


I am so excited we managed to get our ideal time for Le Cellier. I have already done our itinerary and I really hope that we can get the ressies we need for the rest of the week. I have several tricky ones, so we will see!

Just finished our ADRs! 12/16-Liberty Tree Tavern-5:10PM/MVMCP (both tentative)Jessica

I hope they turn into Absolutely's. I will be at the Liberty Tree Tavern at 5:15 that night, and have tickets for the MVMCP that night as well.

I have most of my ADR's booked, a few have to be done over the phone.

Dec 11th - Hoping to get the Fantasmic Dinner Package and eat at Mama Melrose's
Dec 12 - 8:15 Tusker House, not sure what we are doing for dinner yet
Dec 13th -8:45 Rainforest Cafe, dinner at the 50's Prime Time cafe at 5:55
Dec 14th - switching resorts, going from AKL to the Poly so unsure about breakfast, hoping to get into the Spirit of Aloha luau
Dec 15th - 8:05 Crystal Palace, 5:00 the Plaza Restaurant
Dec 16th - Going to try for Cinderellas Royal Table for breakfast, but have a Crystal palace ADR just in case. Could switch the CRT to the 15th, or the morning of the 18th our last day. Dinner is set for the Liberty Tree Tavern, and I ordered my MVMCP tickets.
Dec 17th - 8:00 at Akersush, and 6:25 at 1900 Park Fare.

I can't wait until Monday when I can call to make the final ADR's.

I am arriving on Dec 10th and it won't let me make any ADR's prior to the 7th. I am going to the where to dine, then when I put in my dates, it takes to me my sign in and then asked for my arrival date. When the calendar appears it starts with the 7th.

Thank you. I just went on line and got all the reservations I wanted. I want to go to Teppan Edo for the CP, but since the package is not available yet, I book dinner at 5:30. I don't know if they will just transfer that reservation over to the package but it's worth a try.

When you get to that screen you will have to retype the date. Then it should work unless you are trying to do Cinderella's Royal Table, Fantasmic, or the Spirit of Aloha Dining.

Hello Fellow December Disney Friends,
i would love your thoughts on my itinerary for the week. We were just there in march of 2010, but my parents are coming this trip for the first time in over 25 years
We are staying at the yacht club, first time there.

Sun 12/5: arrive spend the day at HS and then Garden Grill 6:35

Mon 12/6: AK day, RFC 1:15, leave after parade and then just hang out at resort/pool dinner at Cape May Cafe 6:35

Tues 12/7: Crystal Palace 8:05 spend the morning in MK until around noon, head back to resort and relax and then back to MK around 4:30 eat at cosmic rays and the MVMCP

Wed 12/8: sleep in, nothing on the agenda early dinner at 1900 park fare at 4:30 and then back to MK for parade

Thurs 12/9: whatever in the morning, then lunch at Mama Melrose at 2 with Fantasmic package, stay in HS see lights and then Fantasmic

Fri 12/10: no agenda all day and then hoping for Candlelight processional package in Epcot with Lecelliur as first chose, unsure of option 2

Sat 12/11: left open to do what we missed or want to do again and then get picked up at 5:30 for airport

Any thoughts, tips, advice???
