Official Dancing with the Stars Season 7 Thread!

It's time for Cloris to leave. Maurice, Susan, and Warren were the next weakest last night to me.

As for the group number, Susan :sad2: , bless her heart. She tried but just couldn't keep up.

Julianne is having her appendix(sp) removed. Edyta will be filing in until she gets back if Cody gets through tonight.

I agree with most of everything that you all said tonight.

Cloris was horrible. Thank you Carrie Ann for saying what we all thought about it is a shame that Cloris is still here and Toni went home.

Susan was dreadful last night.....she is like a robot. Her scores were WAY to high, but I think it is to try and put separation between her and Cloris. Susan was TERRIBLE in the hip hop.....she had no clue.

I really liked Lance and Lacey's routine. And they killed in the Hip Hop. Warren and Kim were good and so were Julianne and Cody. I thought Brooke did a very good Rumba even with her injury....she didn't look good in the hip hop though.

And finally, Maurice, I just don't really like him.

This is the first year where I still don't have a favorite.....I really like several of the teams so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

It almost looks like you can see Susan counting her steps. "1, 2, 3.. put hand here... 5, 6... kick foot there..." You're right, Puffkin, she resembles a robot.

Lance and Lacey were great last night!

I couldn't watch the whole hip hop dance. They just looked like a clump of badly dressed people with no set purpose. Good hip hop is fun to watch. That was not good hip hop.

.

I noticed her counting during the regular dance - I wasn't home for the hip hop because I had to go to my adult tap where none of us are really dancers...so we all do the count in the head and I have noticed you can tell who is doing that due to their facial expressions.

Cloris is like Sanjaya Malakar... tradgically amusing to watch, but really needs to go.

Where did you hear about Edyta? I think its a great idea! Cloris needs to go. She isn't even funny anymore, she is just bad. Susan should be next I think. She is trying hard but she is just so stiff and I can see her count! I missed Len last night.

Julianne said Edyta would take over for her, when she was talking to Samantha during the scoring.

Susan Lucci was VERY painful to watch during the Hip Hop and I usually LOVE the Group Dance, but I think they have 2 of the worst dancers which is why they did something like that where it wasn't too technical at all.

Cloris should have gone week 1 and Susan should have gone week 2, then Rocco ( he really had NO hip movement at all )

Susan showed especially in the Group Dance that she can't hang. She has tried and I do give her credit but at this point she should be out of there.

If there weren't so many injuries the show would be very different I feel.

Lance and Lacey were good last night, I liked Warren and Kym and I thought Brooke and Derek were great. She still can move.

I don't like the Rhumba - no one EVER gets good marks when they do it and it is my least favorite dance.

I loved the old Group Dance when they did like a Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy theme. That was a great group dance.

Whenever I watch Susan...she always seems like she's in a fog. She can't remember the steps and looks to Tony for cues. She was doing the same thing during the group number and her steps were always slightly delayed compared to everyone else's because of it. To me, she has no natural rhythm at all and looks awkward in every style of dance she's done. There's no way Toni should have gone home before Susan (or Cloris!).

I didn't really care for Lacey/Lance until last night. Prior to that performance they seemed so rapped up in trying to be different that they really weren't doing the dances correctly. I thought their Jive was great though and was glad the judges brought Lacey down a notch or two with their comments last week as it seems to have done some good.

Cody -- he's turning into a great dancer, but I can't get past the fact that he always looks like a little boy trying to be a grown-up. I'm pleased that he's been working on those goofy facial expressions too. Edyta is always so sultry when she dances, I just don't know how those two are going to pair up.

Warren didn't really do much dancing last night. It seems as though much of their choreography was just him walking around looking "pained". He's got a lot more potential than that and I hope they do better next week.

Maurice/Cheryl -- another so-so week for me. Although they are improving, it still doesn't have that "wow" factor yet. I don't know, Cheryl just seems so disinterested to me this season. I don't know if it's the fall-out from her weight gain or if there's things going on in her personal life, but the judges were right...she seems to have no chemistry with her partner at all, and it's affecting their performances and scores.

Brooke has been consistently good but I really think there's a chance other dancers will over-take her soon (especially if her foot injury doesn't improve).

OMG...Cloris! Her behavior is getting on my last nerve!!! I'm sure it's probably great for ratings, but so disrespectful to the other performers. In the beginning it was kind of cute but now it seems too "staged" and it's just going way too far. For the first time last night, I wanted to change the channel until after she was finished -- I can barely watch her anymore.

Hmmm, did I forget anyone?

My dvr cut off right before Warrens score so I missed the group dance and final scores.

Cloris needs to go the heck home.

Maurice - good, but he is a bit stiff on the formal dances.
Lance - loved it! She finally highlighted him and he did great.
Susan - She's just not dirty enough for this dance. Too formal, again. But you can tell she tried.
Brooke - Now she has the sexiness to do this dance. I still think she should be one of the final two. But why was her DH wearing an ascot?
Cloris - She is entertaining, but it's painful to watch her dance. Please stop voting for this woman before she breaks a hip. I was so glad Carrie Ann said what we said, "Toni's gone and this old lady is still here?" It looks like Cloris is ready to leave.
Cody - I love the spray tan! He does do better when he really gets into character for the dances. But his arms seemed a bit funky at times.
Warren - I don't feel like he did a lot of dancing in this one. Kym did a great job. Warren, just not sexy. Carrie Ann though seems to disagree. Me thinks she's got a crush on him.

Hip Hop routine - I was really looking forward to this, minus Cloris of course. Wow, Susan has no rhythm and was totally off. She should have been in back with Cloris. Great beat boxing by Cody. Anyone else think Lance looked a bit like Hok with his hair extensions?

That was interesting. You can tell who is good and who really stinks in that one.

Haven't seen you around in a while. I see from your signature that you're still hanging out with some goooooood-lookin' men :cool2: .

agnes!

I thought it was funny to see Susan dancing next to Lacey. Lacey is a great dancer so you could really see just how awful Susan is.

I take adult tap! I'm in my 4th year. I probably should count more than I do. :rolleyes1 Last night's hip hop routine made me think I can start taking a hip hop class too. I would never look as stupid as Cloris or Susan. :thumbsup2

This is my 11th year but please don't think that makes much of a difference in my dancing...

It started as a group of moms at their daughter's dance studio - the owner always wanted to do it and we are still at it. We do perform in the recital and then also do a mother/daughter tap dance. My daughter is now at UCF and won't be home for it so I will only do the other dance. It is alot of fun and the audience loves us (mostly for our braveness).

My mom takes adult tap too....when I complain (good naturedly) about having to go to another dance recital I usually get asked how old my daughter is. When I tell them no, I have to go see my mom, they usually laugh. She loves it though, and I am glad she has a hobby!

Yeah I'm around just not posting as much, between school and work I have very little time to be around. I still have yet to see Julianne live minus the one song she did at Fan Fair and I was kind of asleep during that song. :rotfl:

Wow, that hip hop WAS painful to watch! I agree, Susan and Cloris just need to GO.

I also thought Lance and Lacey did GREAT, this was the only dance they've done besides the Tango that I really enjoyed. If Lance can be more CONFIDENT and stop talking about the N'Sync days of him not being 'good enough', I will like him a lot more!

And, I agree that Warren and Kym fell flat - I have liked them, but not last night.

I'll say it one more time- I'm still so bummed about maks and Misty May- I really think it could've been a more exciting season if they were still in it. :confused3 :guilty:

We started the same way. My friends and I were watching our DD's and decided to try it ourselves. We do the recitals each year. Our old studio did mother/daughter dances, but they were poorly put together. My new studio does a great recital, but no mother/daughter dance. They even have a group of tapping grannies! They're all 60's and up.

I just had a horrible thought! They usually have the group dance again at the opening of the results show. Do you think they'll make us suffer through that again? :scared1:
