Official Dancing With the Stars: Season 18

Song for sure, and I'd guess costume will be inspired by character/song. Should be interesting to see.

So who will be the lucky ones who get to dance to Let It Go? My guess is Charlie and Sharna. If not them, Peta and James. I can see them having Meryl and Maks dancing to a Whole New World and dressing her up like Jasmine though, if I'm being honest, I'd really like to see them as Meg and Hercules. I have this sinking feeling that they are going to have Danica as Pocahontas. And, since I think Candace is this season's scape goat, she'll probably get to dance to I Wanna Be Like You dressed like an orangutan.

Danica's dance was full of gimmicky stuff that was not necessary and the wardrobe change was so strange. My DD said it looked like what was left was a bathing suit.. Very odd to me like she is trying too hard or something.. Also- anyone else notice that Danica doesn't seem to wear heels when she is dancing? Last night she had those weird shoes with a wedge but it wasn't even that high of a shoe, unlike the other dancers they had in the skit with them.. Maybe all of those things are what made it seem to Julianne that it was just a muster through this and get back to the real competition next week attitude on Maks' part.

I actually liked Mark's dance with Amy. It did seem quite different from what Derek has been having her do and it was clearly a challenge for both of them in this change up week.

I really like Danica. As for the shoe thing last might, she was doing the jive. It calls for flat shoes (most wear tennis shoes or saddle shoes). She wears the appropriate shoe for each dance:
Week 1- Foxtrot, heels
Week 2- Samba, heels
Week 3- Contemporary, ballet flats (most dance barefoot)
Week 4- Jive, tennis shoes

The celeb who refuses to wear heels is Nene. She either wears tennis shoes or goes barefoot. That is gonna look really weird (and probably affect her scores) when she does the Waltz or Tango.

I have to say that tonight was my favorite episode of DWTS in a long, long time! I really enjoyed almost everyone's dance! Even NeNe didn't bother me too much. LOL

I do wonder how they are actually going to determine the switches. I think the fan voting is all a sham and they will put who they want with who they want regardless of the Twitter votes.

Also to whoever said Charlie needs to be paired with a better choreographer, I totally agree! I think Sharna was great with Andy Dick but her dances with Charlie have been underwhelming (except the contemporary which I believe he made a lot of suggestions to). I think his talent and skill are wasted on somewhat uninspired dances.

I like Donny Osmond but can do without him or any other guest judge unless that judge is filling in for a missing judge. Robin Roberts is a nice person but she didn't add anything to the judging and just cried and gushed and prolonged the judging. I like Julianne but I think she sometimes goes out of her way to be a little snarky. She can be constructive without being mean--and she is supposed to be judging the celeb not the pro. I thought the dance was fine. I think Maks is trying very hard this year to be a good guy and he didn't need her comment. I wonder if she is using the seat to settle old scores. Look out to the rest of the pros who were around in Julianne's time.

I was about to say the same thing. The jive is usually done with flat shoes.

I like Donny Osmond. He actually won the Mirror Ball trophy. I voted for him. He actually has been in the same position of the other stars on the show. Hopefully he will give more insightful comments that Robin Roberts, who I like as a person, and yes, only expected her to gush enthusiastically about each performance. Although, it did extend the judging portion of the show.

Somebody must like the guest judges because they keep doing them. I don't like it at all and most of them I have enjoyed as people--I think Robin Roberts is awesome and so is Julianne and Maks and Cher, but I would prefer just the three regular judges. I like Donny too, but don't want to see him as a judge. I wish they would stop.

I am looking forward to tonight. The Disney music should be fun. I really like this group.

Drew and Cheryl tonight--I like the idea of the Genie but don't like the idea of the Genie. I found it distracting and I wasn't watching Drew. When I finally did remember Drew he looked lost and just not very good to me.

From comments I am thinking there will be animation in each performance.

I agree that Donny's face looks fuller than usual. I wondered if he had gained weight. But, his body still looks the same.

As for having no wrinkles, he looked that way when I saw him on Broadway a couple years ago. And his face did move back then, so if he's had plastic surgery, it's not Botox.

I'm wondering if he's taking some meds that make the face puffy?
