I have noticed that, & my sister & I have talked about it before too.

Meryl just seems so cool & unaffected, so very self-contained. I think Maks is into it far more than she is.

My little Maks-heart worries for Maks.

And, as an aside, I love how Erin & Maks seem to have a real friendship. Just from my own observations, Maks appears to have a small circle of real friends, people that "get" him. And I think Erin & Tony are both in his "circle."

(One would think, the way I'm gushing, that I'm some teeny-bopper girl & not a 40 year old woman.)

Candace has a tremendous fan base from her Full House years. She had no dance background and has come soooo far. I'm not surprised, that she's in the finals.

Isn't Meryl sick with whatever James had last week? Maybe she just didn't want to spread her germs and that is why she turned the cheek. Hahaha.

Did anyone notice during the film of Marks injury Candace just stood there when he fell? She didn't go to him--just stood apart in her gold lame jumpsuit.

Saw that. For such a "Christian" person, it seems as though she wasn't all that concerned about him.

Not so surprising to me. James may have gotten the Pre-teen vote, but Candace has the far right wing Christian vote as well as those that are fans of Full House. There are still a lot of those fans out there. Including me, but I didn't vote for her.

Not quite. Candace also has the fan base from Full House. So, Candace has an even bigger fan base.

That's WHY she got 8s tonight. The judges know those scores will count toward tomorrow's final vote.

I think it's humorous that in Candace's clip package there was not one shot of her nutball brother.

I've noticed that too about her husband. Completely forgot who her brother was.

I didn't really like James and Peta's freestyle...would call it OK, LOVED Meryl and Maks' freestyle, really, really, really disliked Candace and Mark's and do not like that she's still around over Danica, Charlie and even James, and was not a fan of Amy and Derek's freestyle at all, although I usually tune in all season to see Derek's freestyle.

I just hope that all the support for M & M will get them that mirror ball and that its not fixed!!!!

Oh, and it bugged me that Mark said he didn't want to talk about his injury anymore that it was all about how well Candace had done...then why the sling at the top of the show???

I've watched the whole thing now.

And I've watched Maks & Meryl's freestyle several times...

So very beautiful. I'm still in awe.

There have been some great freestyles on DWTS - like Derek & Kellie Pickler, Maks & Erin, Tony & Melissa, Cheryl & Drew...

Maks & Meryl are now my very, very favorite.

Moving on...

I also enjoyed James' & Peta's freestyle. It was fun, & he's really talented. And cute & nice too. I think he should be in the final 3.

I'm not sure what Mark was thinking w/ his & Candace's freestyle. That style of dance hasn't been her "strength" all season - she's been better in contemporary or the dance they did where they were styled like a couple from the 1950s - where she gets to act a little.

Mark looked like he was in incredible pain. However, I do like him a bit more than maybe I did previously due to how he told Erin he was tired of talking about his injury & the night was for Candace.

That said, dancing talent aside, while I thought Candace should have been voted off before Danica, Charlie, & James, I did like her prior to tonight. However, tonight, she got on my nerves a bit for some reason. I also didn't like how she just stood there when Mark fell during the rehearsal. Seriously?! I mean, if someone falls on the ground beside you & is writhing in pain, don't you go over to the person? Maybe she was in shock...

I admit... I did rewind & rewatch Derek & Amy's freestyle. I liked it. Not as much as Maks & Meryl, but I liked it. I thought her samba was good too. She can dance. I wish Derek had "let" her dance more during the season. I do like how Derek always seems to get emotional over the journey he & his partner take during the season.

Back to Maks & Meryl...

I watched Meryl & Charlie during the Olympics, but never paid much attention to their mothers in the stands. Tonight, whenever the camera panned to Meryl's mother, did anyone else think she looked... I don't know... "uncomfortable" or "unsettled" w/ all the attention that was being given to the chemistry between Maks & Meryl?

And was that Brandy in the audience that was also crying after their dance?

I loved Maks &Meryl's freestyle dance, it was just beautiful!!! The tango was soooo good too. All my votes went to them because I think they danced circles around everyone else.

Candace's husband is there, I don't think he likes to be on camera because he's always behind and to the side of their kids.

I really hope Maks & Meryl win because they were just amazing.

So disgusted that James and Charley both lost to Candace's fan base!!! Travesty!!

I voted with three phones, my FB page and abc.com tonight. All my votes went to Maks and Meryl. They should make beautiful shapes together, get married and create gorgeous children. He's succeeded in making her sensual...a think I thought impossible after the Olympics.

ITA. Meryl is the best contestant, that has ever competed on DWTS. IMO The chemistry between M&M is off the charts. DH commented on their connection, but I can't repeat it on a family friendly board.
