Official Dancing With the Stars, season 16 thread

Has anyone heard why they decided on a four person final? It seems odd to me that they are mixing it up this way.

....wasn't it always 3 in the Finale? For a minute I thought I was going crazy....

I looked up the TV schedule for next week. There IS a Monday nite show next week. So there probably will be an elimination to get rid of the 4th couple so that there will only be three dancing on Tues nite. WHY Tom didn't even mention Monday nite, I don't know.

Brooke did toward the end of the show. I was wondering too, until I heard her say that.

Wouldn't it be something if Monday nite turns out to be the worst Monday, pre-Finals turnout ever, because no one was listening to Brooke?

I'm wondering if they'll have all 4 dance 2 dances Monday and count the votes then only the top 3 get to compete Tuesday night and the Tuesday night scores are added to Monday nights. Wasn't it similar to that another year for some reason? Or am I remembering wrong?

The only way I heard it is that I was really trying to find out if there was a show Monday night.

They've had the same scoring process for the last three seasons (or more.) Tom even shows some chart on how it's all done and it still never makes sense to me.

My husband isn't a fan of the show so I often end up watching it the next day. It seems to me that they could take the Monday show down to an hour and a half )or even an hour once some are eliminated) and cut out the stupid gimmicks each week. I don't mind a theme night here and there, but it seems almost every night is theme night or gimmick week. Give me couples dancing either the jive or the quickstep any day. Then, the results show does not need to be an hour long at all. A half hour would be more than adequate.

It would really stink to practice all week and be ready to dance and then find out that you are eliminated.

I have thought that for the previous 15 seasons. I was surprised Tues nite lasted this long.

If they can give the Powerball numbers in 2 minutes in between TV shows, and change someone's life forever, they can certainly give the DWTS results in the same amount of time.
