Official Dancing With the Stars: Fall 2015

Just watched the show, and enjoyed it a lot. Bindi is definitely my favorite. I think Alek has grown so much, and I like Carlos, too, but my second number of votes went to Nick. I've enjoyed his performances all season, and really liked tonight's dances (except the first one).

I think Bindi is being a seventeen year old, and expresses herself as a seventeen year old amid a bunch of adults who've been treating her really nice. I loved her trio dance, and enjoyed the other two dances she did, although the first one wasn't her best. I think she deserves to win.

Thanks for the link, Imzadi. That helped. :)

And I was never into the Backstreet Boys, as I was too old for all the boy band stuff. But, to me, Nick's dancing throughout this season always LOOKS like it is STILL Backstreet Boys dancing. And I figure enough people will vote for him solely because he was in the Backstreet Boys. So, he doesn't need my vote.
I agree with this. I was smack dab in the middle of junior high and early high school when Backstreet Boys were popular and, being the teenybopper that I was, I was a fan of theirs, but I have never been big on people with extensive dance backgrunds being on the show (Nicole Scherzingwhatever, Lance Bass, Corbin, Zendaya, etc.) and don't fee like his dancing has changed any since the first week. I like Carlos, but not has much as Alek and Bindi. I'm rooting for Bindi to win it all.

I only voted for 2 people. As I recall :scratchin one couple gets knocked out really early due to the voting tonight. Then it's down to the final three couples and we see their freestyle dances.

I gave Bindi most of my votes. While she has annoyed me these last couple weeks with all her, "Oh Wow! Oh WOW!!!" :headache: she has been my favorite from the start.

I never felt anything for Carlos. As other people have mentioned, he seems rather dis-ingenuous to me. :confused3 And I was never into the Backstreet Boys, as I was too old for all the boy band stuff. That leaves Alek. He's is NOT the best dancer. And I blame a lot of that on Lindsay. I think she could have worked on his form more, especially in these latter weeks, and not just on the steps. (I used to study ballet in high school and I looked like the Aflac duck in those yoga commercials for quite a while :crazy2: until I got the form right in my arms. Once I got the graceful "ballet arms" and learned to bounce more, even mis-steps looked a LOT better. ;)

But, of the guys left, IMO, Alek has grown the most. He was NEVER a performer at all, like Carlos & Nick. The show offered him a LOT of money since he fit their category of "military hero" that they were determined to fill, and he probably though he was only going to last ONE week, make some money and pay off some bills. He's done amazingly well for all that has been thrown at him. :thumbsup2 Do I think he should win? No. But, I'll be happy with him coming in third.

The freestyle dances will probably determine who gets my votes next Monday nite. popcorn::

That's a very good analysis & pretty much sums up how I feel as well.

I would have MUCH rather seen Alexa in the finals rather than Carlos because there is just something about him that is not genuine while Alexa, for me, had that "spark" that made her interesting & lovely to watch.

I was never a Backstreet Boys fan, but I have enjoyed Nick's story & watching him dance. And Sharna is gorgeous, & I've always loved her dances.

Bindi was becoming a bit tiresome to me (although I've continued to enjoy watching her dance), but she brought me back last night w/ her "It was like being in the middle of a beautiful hurricane." I mean, how gorgeous & evocative is that imagery?!

And, say what you want to about Derek, but he is a phenomenal choreographer & worth every penny they pay him.

I really like Alek & think he's a strong dancer & partner. I think he could have done better w/ someone other than Lindsay. That said, I think he's done amazingly well especially considering his background & how he's not a performer or used to being in the spotlight like the other stars.

So my top three are Bindi, Alek, & Nick.

My feelings are this, I'll take whatever top 2 as long as it's not Carlos. Something about him absolutely rubs me the wrong way. He comes off very fake to me, like part of it's an act.

No Nick isn't consistent and he is not the best dancer, he never was in BSB. He is the Lance of BSB, but he tries. I think part of his problem last night is that package got to him and shook him. You can tell he blames himself and you can tell some of the members felt bad for introducing Nick down that road as well if you watch the package.

Bindi is a take it or leave type of personality. Last night up till her trio she had gotten on my nerves but the trio dance was amazing. There are some people who could easily get turned off by her bubbly personality.

Alek he is not the best dancer but he is trying. I think Lindsay is trying with him but I think there are things she could of worked on with him that would of done him better. His strongest dancers are ballroom and that waltz was stunning last night, it was simple with nothing over the top, it was similar to what we saw seasons ago.

I think if the TPTB get their way its going to be either Nick or Alek winning it and I'm thinking that because of the tour. Emma confirmed Alek was going on the tour.

Totally agree. I've been wondering all season where his votes are coming from.

My DD looked at the TV last night while he was dancing (Carlos). She doesn't watch DWTS but saw him and said 'that's Carlos from Big Time Rush'. I was like 'huh?' cause i really never paid attention to who he was other than married to Alexa. I said 'how do you know that?' and she gushed about how she loved Big Time Rush at one time. She's almost 17 so the teen/college set might be voting for him.

Except the teen/college set doesn't watch this show! I think their main demographic is over 40 and that probably isn't going to change much no matter how many 15 year old internet sensations they cast. (There are a few exceptions here, of course!)

I was actually really impressed with Carlos last night, during the Charleston. He usually dances small, with his arm movement truncated, but he didn't this time. He looked really good. DH and I both commented that he's the best male dancer left, based on that dance.

I'm rooting for Bindi though. Her waltz last week, the Samba and trio last night, excellent dances. I even voted!

I actually think that Carlos' fan base are people who want to vote for devout Christians. There seems to be one in the final 4 most seasons and they really played it up earlier.

Or .... maybe they just want to see more of his naked torso!

That may be true... However, I'm a Christian, & I don't like him. So I'm not voting for him. (He's a good dancer, & his Charleston last night was great. There's just something about him I don't like.)

I may go against the grain though.

I NEVER voted for Bristol Palin & thought she lasted way too long. While I liked Candice Cameron Burre, I never voted for her. I liked Sadie as well. I thought she was a good dancer, but I can't remember if I ever voted for her or not. But, w/ Candice & Sadie both, it wasn't their politics or religion that made me like them, or that wasn't the only thing I liked about them. I wasn't rooting for them to win just because they were Christians. I thought Candice lasted a little too long - I would have rather seen Danica last longer. And I can't remember... who was up against Sadie? I was fine w/ either person winning.

I typically don't vote for someone on DWTS based on my religion or my politics. But, again, maybe I'm not normal. LOL!

Meh...I seriously doubt that. Maybe a few, but many people vote for their favorite pro. Others, vote based on the celebrity's ability, attitude, likability and/or name recognition.

I don't know, Backstreet Boy fans can be diehard, and he has people literally all over the world dedicated to voting for him. So its going to be interesting on if having a massive fanbase overpowers the viewers of the show.
