Erin is just not soft & feminine to me. Her gold costume looked like some "superhero" type costume. Jeez, even Chad had more fluid & graceful moves than her tonight.

Interesting so far. I like all of them except for Chad. His behavior with Cheryl during this season gives me the heebie jeebies.

I can't believe this, but I actually miss Samantha Harris. I always thought the dresses/ball gowns they put her in were beautiful. Brooke is a pretty woman, but they dress her like a tramp.

Holy cow, no kidding! I was wondering what was up with all the underwear shots! I'm surprised the crowd wasn't singing I see London, I see France, I see Nicole's underpants!

You know, I love Derek, he's one of my absolute favorites on the show. But it just seems so unfair that Nicole has so much dance background. She's going to win, you know she will. Nearly every one of her routines is flawless. I don't know, it all just seems predictable with her now. Still, Derek's choreography of that Argentine Tango was phenomenal!

It's weird typing to a thread by oneself, waiting for others to show up, & hearing the keyboard keys echo off the thread room walls.


I think they keep bringing up the stalking stuff because last week, that nutcase, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, on The View, made some really ridiculous comment about how a woman who had been stalked shouldn't be wearing such skimpy outfits, unless she's just asking for that type of attention.

Like Erin deserves to be stalked if she's going to wear stuff like that.

That's like saying women who wear skimpy clothing deserve to be raped. I think they purposely brought up the stalking again to show how strong Erin was in spite of the stalking.

You know, I love Derek, he's one of my absolute favorites on the show. But it just seems so unfair that Nicole has so much dance background. She's going to win, you know she will. Yes, Derek always seems to be paired up with the young, sexy, graceful hottie with prior dance experience. I love watching him, and he is young himself, but it's an unfair advantage he gets over the pro dancers who are paired up with Buzz Aldrin & the like.


I hope Nicole doesn't wear some outfit like that for their freestyle dance. Some bad choices for a free style have been what did a dancer in.

I missed the show in favor of going out to eat with my DH and my kids. My son is in from school for a couple of days and I haven't seen him in a couple of months. It's the first time we've been able to eat as a family for quite a while.

Evan did great, but I so don't want Anna to win, after what she did to Mark's dance a couple season's ago.

ITA. I really liked Mark and she did him in with her half-baked choreography . I adore Evan but there is no way I want Anna to win. What can I say? I can hold a grudge!

Nicole for the win, Evan second and Erin third. I am somewhat torn by picking Nicole to win. I really do prefer someone with less dance experience to win, but Nicole is just head and shoulders above everyone else. Plus, she has Derek to help her and even with his injury he can crank out 59/60 points. I think that Evan has a chance of coming in from behind and snatching the mirror ball from her, but only if she messes up or if Derek can't dance next week.

FWIW, is anyone else picking up on the Erin/Maks connection? Maybe it's because Maks is in the show longer than he usually is and has a stronger friendship with Erin but he really does seem genuinely smitten. I have a HUGE crush on M-M-Maks so I'm kinda enjoying his goo-goo eyes ... even if they're not for me .

I've never cared for Max. He's always seemed like a spoiled brat to me. But this season he seems more personable. Maybe it's Erin's influence.

Last season "Iron Chef" Mark Dacascos was dancing with Lacey. Lacey had toned it down by that time and she and Mark were a great couple. Mark was one of those contestants with little dance experience and Lacey was bringing him along very nicely. The Swine Flu hit the show pretty hard and Lacey came down with it half way through the week and DWTS asked Anna to step in and dance with Mark. Instead of working with Lacey's routine, Anna made up her own routine on the spot and tried to teach it to Mark. Epic Fail. Mark tried his best, but the routine was not designed for HIM ... it was designed to showcase ANNA. She was not even dancing that season and she made the choreography ALL ABOUT HER. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_DacascosHe didn't have a chance after she changed everything up to suit herself and not her partner. And then they had to do the "Dance Off" of last season and that was an utter train wreck and Mark was sent home. Poor Lacey stood by him in the results show all pale and sick.

This was a couple seasons ago. Mark Dacascos, host of "Iron Chef America" was one of the contestants. His partner was Lacey. She got the flu & was extremely sick. She went home for the rest of their dance.

Instead, she was replaced by Anna, (who was already out of the running,) for a few rehearsals. Instead of working off of the choreography Mark & Lacey had already worked out, she REPLACED all Mark's choreography with (probably) an old dance of her's from a previous one she had already done. So SHE didn't have to think or do anything new or put in any real effort , Meanwhile Mark was overwhelmed , and didn't dance very well. He was sent home.

I don't even think Anna had any conscience about the whole thing. She got paid for her time. She showed up. Mark wasn't her partner.

I pretty much agree. I love Derek as a dancer and plus...he's hot! Who wouldn't want to tune in and see him every week? I just can't get behind him this year b/c Nicole just screams ringer to me. I'm tired of the whole, "Oh, WOW! We got all 10's. I really didn't expect that." It just seems so...put on. Of course you expected 10's, you're both awesome dancers. Duh.

Okay, sorry...rant over.

That said, I'd really love to see Evan win. I've never really cared for Anna, but I do love Evan! His Paso last night was AMAZING!! I'd also like to see Erin and Maks in the finals.
