I understand that Melissa Rycroft and Vanessa Minnillo were both in the running with Brooke Burke for the host position. Personally I say bring on Melissa or Vanessa already! I thought Brooke was great on the show as a dancer, not liking her as a host at all.

Brooke is very mannequin-esque. I was hoping Melissa would have gotten the job.

I don't like Erin and I don't like the way she dances. I think she is still very awkward. She still looks like all elbows, knees and surgically enhanced breasts to me.

Erin has fake breasts? Good job if so, they look real to me!

I agree that Nicey should have gone home before Pam.

I didn't like Pam to start with but she began to grow on me and I sincerely liked her at the end. I didn't really understand why Pam was getting such low scores as her dancing and performances always seemed pretty good to me. Plus, I really liked how she was starting to move away from her "sex kitten" act and was acting like a real person ... not just the sum of her bra-size. It annoyed the heck out of me that the men on the show kept on harping on it all the way to the end. Grow up! Even Bruno who isn't even interested in what she has to offer joined in. Toward the end Pam started to look uncomfortable at their cracks. It's one thing to play the sex kitten and have someone react to that "character" and it's quite another thing to start to let your real self out there and STILL have people comment ONLY on your "assets" .

ITA. I had no idea how sweet she is until DWTS. She was my favorite, along with Evan.

It was so annoying to hear Bruno and Len keep talking about her breasts all the time, it irked me too!

He's quite use to the training and choreography (and the aches and pains that comes with the moves) even though his skating isn't ballroom dancing, so that is an advantage. I like him a lot, and while he may have an advantage in the training area, he may not have the at home votes that someone else would have. They all have different advantages.
I didn't realize when he took his fall on his head, he must have been in our area. They showed the quick clinic and local doc he went to in my area. They must travel all over to get in some practice.

I agree that he does have an advantage because of his skating background, but I don't feel that that makes him a ringer like some people are suggesting. And I'd be willing to bet he's got a lot of fans here in the Chicago area (he's from a suburb of Chicago) to help with the votes.

Well, I had to run out for cat food, missed a lot of dances & came back just I time to see Niecy again. That was the worst Paso Doble I've ever seen.

My DVR messed up right before Nicole's scores for her first dance and then I missed everything up to Evan's 2nd dance. I LOVED Anna's 5th Element outfit . Evan's matching outfit was stupid. But that's Anna for you ... always thinking about HERSELF before her star . I really liked both of Nicole's dances. I like that she seems to be in a partnership with Derek and that he respects her input. The 50's Paso was ... strange but good. I cracked up when Bruno went off on one of his weird tangents in the judging and Nicole didn't seem to quite know what to make of his blathering . Derek know what was going on but she still looked confused when Derek high-fived her, LOL.

I voted for Nicole and Evan. Thankfully, I missed Nicey's second dance.

I really liked Erin and Max's first dance, Argentinian Tango? I've never been a fan of Max but he has grown on me this season. He has lightened up and doesn't act so much like a spoiled little boy. Maybe it's his partner.

I've always thought that Cheryl's costumes looked great on her but those thigh high boots were awful.

And I missed Evan and Anna's futuristic dance. Dozed off.

In season 8, I thought there was no way that Giles Marini wouldn't win, so who knows? I will admit though, that as big a fan as I am of Evan, Nicole is looking pretty good for winning.

Super excited for the college dance competition tonight. We are madly trying to find out if the Purdue team is the full team or a partial team. One of the Captains I use to babysit for her and she was one of the sitters for my kids. I am sure as a Captain, she'll be on, but we could not get a hold of anyone in the family to confirm that she is out there.

He said that they were disqualified from some competition for the routine being too racy.

IMO, it was a cool dance, not racy! When Tom said it was racy I expected a pole on the floor, but it was far from racy! I thought it was pure creative genious! Just my opinion though...

In the Indianapolis paper it said that DWTS would not allow them to bring their graduate students, so if she is an undergrad student, I would say there is a good chance she'll be there!! I grew up near I.U. and went to Butler, but tonight I'll be a Purdue fan!!
