i think that between kate, buzz, chad and aiden, aiden was the most improved. is he the best dancer? NO, not by a long shot, but of the aforementioned group, he has shown the most improvement. i do believe buzz and kate are the worst of the entire bunch, and either one of them should be the next to go. this is a DANCE competition, and yes, i realize, popularity plays a big part of it, but just because kate gosselin is infamous, that shouldn't override the fact that SHE CANNOT DANCE. yes, i'm a former dancer, and i realize not everyone has that point of reference. not sure why i continue to watch, i guess i'm a masochist, because this happens each season and it always frustrates me. i will be watching tonight to see who gets voted off.

The thing about the dial idol prediction site is that it does not take into account the internet or text votes, plus the votes per phone line are limited.
So someone can be on the top or bottom, and not really be safe. I think if you look at it, they are all predicted to be possibly in the bottom three.... So it's not that useful!

I think that Kate is an awful dancer, and should be voted out so she can be put out of her misery. If she was having FUN at least, I would not care, but she just looks so miserable. But I have a feeling that she has a lot of fans, and will be around for a long time.
Sort of like "master P" from a few seasons ago... He was like Frankenstein stomping around the dance floor, and stayed for a LONG time.
The Judges finally gave him REALLY low scores compared to everyone else, and he went home.

They are probably "dating" as much as, and in the same way as Gerard Butler & Jennifer Aniston are "dating" while their movie is out now and want people to buy the DVD.

I don't see how it serves as proof.

The voting public are not skilled ballroom dancers--and when they vote for their "favorite"--it isn't their favorite dance...but their favorite celeb.

Kate is "infamous" and garners pull--so even with low scores, she can still stay in the early weeks.

Now if the high score gets the oust--I'd get it.

But the professional scores are only part of the equation.

At about 4 weeks in or so, you've gotten rid of the lackluster and performance abilities can shine.

But seriously--if she stays and someone else goes in week 2, means nothing.

I guess I would be in the minority because I would vote for the couple that entertained me the most. That would have been Derrick and his partner.

And that is the exact reason why we voted last night for Aiden to stay. Between the home phone, 4 cell phones, and 5 ABC accounts, our household had a 100 votes. 70 went to the 2 dancers we like the best and 30 went to Aiden. The only reason is because he showed the most improvement from the 1st week. Chad is doing better, and I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but the height issue with him and Cheryl and him not being able to hold frame is going to do him in. Buzz and Kate - no matter how long they stay, it will not improve their dance quailty - PERIOD!!!!

I am just hoping that Buzz goes this week and next week when the judges get to drop TWO SCORES - one for the performance and one for technique that Kate will be gone. She would only rank 1's, maybe 2's for technique.

On your 2nd bolded part - I am so glad to see someone else voice this. I don't vote for the same person every week just because that was the person I liked the best. Last season, could not stand Aaron (and Karina for that part as well), but he got my votes twice, because I thought he had the best dance. If Kate had a great dance for HER ABILITY, weither it was the best dance of the night or not according to the judges, I would vote for her. I WILL NOT vote for someone, just because of who they are.

i think the issue with Kate is...she can't "play a part" like the others can. she can't play "sexy" and obviously she can't play "angry" either. she's not an actress. and i think she's just so nervous that is shows on her face the ENTIRE time. and i feel bad for her because it seems like she can't talk to her partner about anything. she tried explaining "this isn't helping, i have to learn this another way" and he freaked out on her "I TRAIN PROFESSIONALS, I DON'T HAVE TO CHANGE!" so now it seems like she's just being quiet so she doesn't upset him anymore.


i can't remember which poster said something about "everyone who should have won, has always won" and i don't believe that at all. Donny was CLEARLY not the best last year. and Shawn Johnson wasn't the "best" the year she won, either.

I have to say that I hope that the ring is more innocent than it seems. Chad makes me very uncomfortable with his pursuit of Cheryl. I missed the second show, but on the first one he had his hands all over her and she seemed to keep on trying to put distance between them. He did not appear to hear or respect her "stop" signs that were very clear to me. He seems to be the kind of guy who is used to getting what he wants with his handsome good looks, tall athletic body and green, green money. Cheryl is one of those pros (like M-M-Maks) that sparks a connection and has a certain chemistry with her stars and I was afraid of how that talent was going to mesh with someone who wants to believe it. *blech*

I'd hate to see her hurt by Chad as he plays her, the way he plays field passes, and we see her take time away from the show, next season, because of it.

I think "expensive" is relative here. To an NFL wide receiver, it's probably a bauble to him. He probably makes that in the first quarter of a football game. If Cheryl tried to hand it back, he probably pushed it on her, saying, "Keep wearing it, just during our time doing show then. Look at all the attention we can get." There have been blurbs on The Insider, GMA, US Magazine. So, they are getting publicity from it.

On the J&K+8 thread, someone linked to a gossip article that quoted Anonymous friends of Tony as saying that he says he wants Kate to lose b/c he can no longer stand working with her.

So your statement is very interesting.

IF Tony has that sentiment, then I would be concerned that he is purposefully not capatalizing on her best qualities but rather her worst qualities.

I dont' know if that is true--but if it were, to me that is cheating and he isn't doing his job. Any professional dancer should be charged with brining out the best of any protoge they receive. And if they slack off--they have no business being on the show.

Again, I have no idea if it is true--but your statement makes me pause after having read that article.

I don't vote at all b/c I find the whole process silly. I enjoy watching and chatting about the programs--but I'm not about to go to all the ends of the earth to vote for people.

I have just watched Derek and Chelsea's Paso for the 5th time on my DVR. I always liked her and she has become one of my favorite professionals. Now I think Derek is totally hot, but watching them dance tonight.....my knees are weak........They were fantastic and both very talented and I am sure Derek also choreographed that dance.

I need to take a VERY cold shower. He is just an amazing dancer.

Not a bad singer either.
