Official Dancing With the Stars (cast revealed)

It's funny I love watching the show but am by no means an expert on different types of dancing, but as I watched Lil Kim's jive I thought to myself, where are all the kicks? I thought it was a great dance, but more of a freestyle and so she should have gotten 9s and no perfect scores since it wasn't true to the jive. Otherwise people can just do whatever they want each week. She also needs to cover up a bit. Seems any sudden movement and she is having a wardrobe malfunction...does she not know ABC is owned by Disney...lol.
I thought Chuck and Julianne's rumba was HOT. They can't seem to catch a break with the judges. I thought they deserved a few 9s. They only scored one point more than LT.
I also agree about the band/singers. They were OFF tonight.
As far as Shawn being young and having difficulty with the rumba, wasn't Julianne 19 when she first came on the show? You can still be sexy even when you are young. And being older doesn't guarantee sexiness(look at Steve-O). I just think she didn't connect with Mark.

I'm more of a lurker on this thread...but, is it just me or did anyone else notice Lil Kim's mistakes last night? She got 10s and I noticed she forgot some portion of her dance (the camera was showinf them from across the floor and she stopped mid step and waited for Derek) and had a couple mis-steps...

That man seriously grates on my nerves. (But then, so does Lacey.) I think we are getting into a Master P situation again, where his fans are keeping him on long after he should have gone. Judges need to score him 2's and 3's so that even if his fans call in, he still has to go.

Amen! I loved the fact that he ran over to kiss his wife after he finished dancing. He's 360 degrees of hotness.

I may be alone in my thinking but I think Ty is too touch-feely with Chelsie. I wish he'd go up to Jewel after dancing like Gilles does to his wife. And not for nothing, but if I was married on DWTS I would not be putting my arm around my partner during the judging.

Gilles kissed Cheryl.

He kissed Cheryl at the end of their dance. Then when they started walking over to the judges, he turned around and ran over to his wife and gave her a kiss before running back to the judges table.

As far as Shawn being young and having difficulty with the rumba, wasn't Julianne 19 when she first came on the show? You can still be sexy even when you are young.

The difference between Shaun and Julianne is that one is a professional gymnist that has spent most of her life in the gym and the other is a professional dancer who has learned to dance in a way to "fake" the passion.

I thought Julianne and Chuck's rumba was HOT! I loved it! I also like Melissa and Tonys. Didn't get to see Shaun or Ty. Lil Kim's was fun to watch. She does need to figure out something about the wardrobe malfunctions!

Eh. Chuck and Julianne's dance wasn't that great. It might have been somewhat hot, but didn't do that much for me.

Shawn may be 17, but she's a very innocent and shy 17. She hasn't spent much time around guys besides other gymnasts and coaches. From the way she acts, she's probably never even had a real boyfriend. She's never had to act either. So she has no idea how to really project sensuality and passion.

I noticed the mistakes too. I also agree with Len that it really was missing the Jive. It was fun and energetic, but not really a Jive. You could even see her as they were walking up to the judges that she was saying she forgot and she messed up. I still like her much better than Ty, Steve-O and LT, though.

As for Shaun she is a cutie , I think as for as romance boyfriends she has lead a sheltered life , i think she looks very graceful
Lil Kim is an entertainer , dances good but i dont think she should be on as she has training in dance even if it is not the same as ball room jmho
Melissa i think she dances good, just something about her bugs me?
Gilles, dances very well, as for the kiss i did see him kiss his wife,
Chuck tries , i dont care for Julliann this season she seems different???

I'm glad I am not the only one who thought the band was WAY off on a few of those songs- eek!

And, I'm glad I'm not the only one who agreed with Len several times. I've watched this show every episode practically, and while Derek and Kim were very entertaining, I thought to myself, 'they're gonna get dinged for not dancing enough!' I was surprised they got 2 10s!

You can tell some of the pros are looking really POed at some of the judges comments- Julianne and Tony in particular looked like they were practically swallowing their tongues.

I agree also that my beloved (LOL) Gilles and Cheryl looked a bit frantic. But hello- that music never let up- it was FAST and it seemed to kind of require a jive that just was nonstop. I was impressed he kept up with it!

Steve-O needs to GO. He just sort of gives me the creeps. And Lacey with her big W for 'Whatever' to Len- big eye roll from me on that move. Tacky. Then I think Lawrence or Ty should be next. Ty is very charming, but awkward to watch at times.

the judges can never make up their mind,one time its too raunchy then its not raunchy enough.it seems that they are definetly favoritizing(probably not a word) lil kim. i didnt think her jive was all that! and my ds18 said the same thing you all seem to agree upon, she spends all her time in the gym and doesnt have time to date or even like a boy so shes not going to have the passion like julianne has..or as he put it the slutiness! even though steve o is trying his best and taking this seriously,he has no dance ability and its time for him to go.

I agree that Shawn was probably sheltered and not exposed to dating and stuff so it would be harder for her, I was just trying to say it's not just because she is young..you can be young and be able to pull of sexy.

I do remember thinking Lil Kim messed up when watching last night...glad I wasn't alone. I think she is a dark horse though...everyone talks about the other 3 being the top..she may sneak in.

Generally I LOVE the band, but last night was a bit rough. Overall though I think they are amazing. I wish they did weddings, lol! On a side note--I didn't even notice Lil Kim's wardrobe snafu last night, I usually fastforward through the interview stuff. Is it really her fault though? I thought wardrobe made all their own decisions? Plus, its not like we are seeing anything indecent. On a side, side note--I really liked Lacey's get up last night, very cute.

Has anyone noticed how bored L.Taylor looks when Samantha interviews the couple who just danced? At one point last week, it looked like he was looking at his watch. I'm just watching last night's show & after Shawn & Mark danced, he just sat there looking down, didn't clap for them or smile.
