AKKKKKKKKKKKK .... no more Max for the rest of the season????

Denise was bad ... and I heard she *asked* for Max ... which I didn't think they were allowed to do. I was expecting a big soap opera with her coming between Max and Karina .....

We went to the DWTS show in Orlando and Max really enjoys the dance programs -- he and the Hough boy were very entertaining.

I can't believe Woz is still in!!!!! This is turning into another Cloris season. The guy got a 10! Total! He's horrible!

I'm happy Denise went home. She was way too awkward when she danced. I had a feeling before the season started that she would be bad. Just another pretty face that is either too self-conscious or uncoordinated to do Latin convincingly.

The whole thing was awkward, but especially when they were interviewing Holly's partner about missing Jewel. And he was like, "Yeah this has been really rough" or something like that. SO AWKWARD...at the elimination show, he tried to clarify--just awful. And did anyone see Lil' Kim's pastey coming out? And Derek trying to hide it and the rest of the cast pointing and laughing?

Samantha usually looks pretty (as long as you have your TV on mute ) but I thought she looked terrible last night. She is getting way too skinny!

I thought the same thing last night. When she was pregnant, her face was so beautiful!!!

How do you all like the new dance-off format on elimination night? I personally miss watching an encore of the judge's favorite dance of the week. I'd rather watch the best dance than 2 of the worst.

Before last night's result I worried about the judges using their dance-off votes to go against the viewers choice. But I see that didn't work as they all wanted Denise to stay. BTW, I looked up the scoring system and I had no idea they used percentages.

From ABC.com:
"For example if couple A, B and C receive 38, 26 and 14 points from the judges, we calculate what share these points represent of the total awarded by the judges on the night. In this case the judges gave 78 points in total, and each couples' share of 78 points breaks down as follows: 38= 48.72% of 78, 26= 33.33% of 78, 14= 17.95% of 78. Let's suppose that when the public votes are tallied, each couple has the following shares: A= 20%, B=40%, C=40%. To determine who's eliminated we combine these two shares for the total:

Couple A: 20+48.72%= 68.72%
Couple B: 40+33.33%= 73.33%
Couple C: 40+17.95%= 57.95%"

So, if I'm reading it correctly, it really boils down to the viewers votes, even with a dance off.

Yes, Max did not look happy last night, even during the final workout that they showed. It was like his attitude was "why practice?".

Who were the other two male dancers that danced with Karina? I thought they both were very good looking especially the one with the longer hair!

Who were the other two male dancers that danced with Karina? I thought they both were very good looking especially the one with the longer hair!

I think Denise got 53% of the judge's dance off votes, compared to Holly with 47%. So Holly must have gotten at least 7% more viewer votes than Denise to have been saved.

Karina danced with Maks, Tony and Dmitry during the Hall and Oates performance.

Does anyone know why Alex, Edtna husband doesn't dance with a partner on the show? I really enjoy them both. I wish they would used them more and Max and Katrina less.

karina was so excited when she learned they were safe..i would have thought she'd be happy to go home,she doesnt act like she likes woz.and yes they should definetely use more alex,ever since season 1 when he won with kelly monaco he had bad partners...and they should bring corky back with a real contender.

I was really, really hoping that Holly would go home. I was really disappointed that DWTS picked someone whose only claim to fame is getting naked to be on the show. I'm not a huge Denise Richards fan, but I do like her better since seeing her and her pooches on The Dog Whisperer.

Love Alex...wish they would use him more. Love Dmitry...he is my favorite now..has taken the place of Maks. Maks just seems to 'above it all' for his own good. Sure, he's a terrific dancer, but he just isn't 'all that'. For him to have the attitude he has had with Denise is nasty. Of course it must be hard to have a less than talented partner, especially after last season, but to make the faces he has made is just rude.
I would love to see more of Corky also...love that man.

It seems that this season the dancers either dance well or are just awful. Does anyone remember the scene in 'Dirty Dancing' (the movie) where Baby's big sister (can't remember her name) is doing the dance for the talent show?? She is awful. Holly reminded me of her last night...awkward and stiff and no rhythm at all.

How true - both Denise and Holly looked so stiff and awkward!!!! Hard to watch.

Apparently several of the dancers have been complaining about Melissa and her ballet/cheerleading experience. Two that I remember are Julianne and Maks. Maks actually said it wasn't fair because she had that. Tony replied by saying What about Mel B.?
And Maks also said that Karina should be given the chance to have a good partner. How rude is that! It's not like all she has had are duds (Mario and Mario.) And it's not like the other females haven't gotten not so great partners.
I can't stand the two of them.
