Official Code Watch for August 2007

The CM I talked with on Wednesday all but said they were going to offer free dining. We all have AP's, but booked one day base tickets with our room to make it a "package" so that we could apply free dining if it comes out. (All based on the advise of the CM!) Hopefully he will be right! He also said that we could apply a PIN code (if we got one) or an AP discount along with the free dining. (I read somewhere earlier in the thread that you could not combine discounts & free dining and got a little worried. I called back and another CM confirmed that discounts could be combined).

Either way, we'll be at Disney!

This info, as with alot of info from CM's lately, is wrong. You cannot stack discounts, it is one or the other. AP rate or free dining, AAA discount or free dining.

Just look at the fiasco with the pin and code threads. One CM says one thing and another and another... people just keep calling to find the CM who is willing to give the discount without a pin.....:confused3

Time will tell.... :rolleyes1 So beware of what you are told by CM's bad information is given out on a regular basis.

I think the poster meant to say" offered already for free dining for 2006";)

If I am staying at 2 resorts during my stay and have a package. Let's say 7 days at CSR and 6 days at BC. Can I make the 7 day stay a MYP package with dining and have a 10 day park hopper pass so we have it to use at our BC stay or does the park hopper have to match the number of days at the resort you have dining with???

Hope that made sense???

You can get the park passes for as many days as you want, it is the dining that goes with the amount of days at the resort.

Any hot rumors about discounts for us poor August folks who were not eligible for the 30%/40% off?

Just booked our trip yesterday for Aug 25-30! Shorter than our last year August trip but better than nothing. Last year we arrived on the 12th the day before free dining and had to do seperate reservation then book again for the 13-19 to receive free dining. Hoping for free dining again this year or a nice room break.

The free dining is already offered with the "bounce-back" program. That appears to be taken from Mousesavers.com - it does state that but just wasn't specific on to whom the free dining is being offered. If you didn't already know, the bounce back program was offered to those individual last year, who were willing to make a new reservation starting Aug 5. I think they had to put a deposit on a package before they checked out or within 24 hours.

Does anyone know if there were decent AP rates for last August? What is the highest percentage that an AP rate has ever given off a room. I have 40% off BC for 21st-26th. Hoping for a discount fot the 12th-21st for the beginning of our trip... Of course free dining would be nice also:love:

Last August I *think* it was about $75 off per night for the Deluxe resorts.

Do the AP rates apply to most or all of the resort rooms for the dates of the deal or would it be unlikely that I could take advantage of an AP rate if I want a specific room type?

(planning August 2007 Disneymoon and looking for the cheapest option for AKL)

Thanks princess:

Last summer in June, I think, they did not release any AP rates and then after that it was only for the Epcot Resorts and some DVC properties. I guess its all down to demand, if they are left with a load of rooms on their hands they will offer discounts, if there are not many available they won't.

If free dining is offered to the public, I wonder if it will start on August 5th or the 12th?

Who knows, Disney are do not have set offers and dates it really does depend upon demand and if the parks are still busy then they may not. Wish I could be more help :).

Anyone else able to get in on those great discount code? I called but my dates were not eligible. Fingers still crossed for free dining, April can't come to soon for me.

I did. And although it sounds like a great deal we would not be able to travel until 8/21. We like to take at least 10 days and that would leave us traveling on Labor Day weekend. Any room savings would get eaten up with flights. Last year we traveled for the free dining promotion and we got home 1 week before school started. That was even a tight fit because we were all so shot from the trip it took like 3 days just to recoup and get back on schedule. Didn't leave long to get readjusted to a schedule and back to school.
