Are they really opening Sept 1st... we arrive the 4th.... been calling daily and no one has told me that yet..

CM just told me that CG is scheduled to start booking ADRs when it opens on September 1st.

I was just told the same thing by a CM. California Grill will open on September 1st and they will begin taking reservations on that same day.

I repeated it back to the CM just because I couldn't believe my ears! Again he confirmed the opening date of September 1 and that they would start taking reservations that same day!!

If it is online then you can do it at 6am EST - if it has to be by phone, then 7am EST. They have released things like this at different times before though, haven't they? Wasn't Be Our Guest opened at noon EST when they did it?

Does make me wonder if they are starting to take reservations on Sept 1st what date are they talking about. I seem to recall if they are doing a soft opening on 9/1 reservations usually are not taken for dates until weeks or a month afterwards

We made a Victoria and Albert's reservation instead We were at California Grill on the last night before they closed for reservations. If the stars aligned it would be really cool to be there for the first day back as well.

We are heading down between Sept 19th-Sept 28th. So anything is possible! But I don't know if I could justify going to V&A and CG on the same trip

Victoria and Albert's is a fair trade! If you haven't been, you'll love it. W're going to V & A's in December, but still holding out for a CG ADR. Enjoy!

Thanks I'm still torn. My heart is with CG, but V&A is a bucket list thing, that probably now is as good of a time to do it as any. My wife is very excited about V&A, so we are pretty locked in. Having to send the girls to Neverland club makes me a bit uncomfortable, but everything I have heard about it, suggests that they will love it.

There is always a chance we could do both. We'll cross that bridge when/if CG reservations come available. But that's a lot of money for two meals

When I started this thread I never thought we would still be checking four and a half months later! I hope they open up ADR's soon.

For what it's worth I just got off the phone with the cake order line for the contemporary. I called to start to get ideas for Octobers trip if we were able to get an ADR. I mentioned about the sept 1st rumor. She said they were told yesterday that that date has been pushed back for at least 2 weeks. She said they had some issues. I would think she would know what's going on she deals with the California grill on the daily if needed?

I think at this point it is all conjecture, verifying is impossible as everything is conjecture and unverified information to begin with. I wonder why they don't just come flat out and say here's out plan, it makes no sense to keep everyone guessing.
