We will be here in July. I have looked at alot of these cakes, but I see none for WL. Eating at WWC. Anyone have any comments or pictures that they can share. I think we want choc. with choc filling. Butter creme icing.

My Splash Mountain cake was at WWC.

Just thought I'd post my most recent experience...

A week or so ago, I emailed Brian at the Contemporary to discuss cake ideas and get some options. We settled on exactly what I wanted and I was then able to call the CR private dining directly to order. I gave a credit card as a guarantee, but it will be charged to our room.

-8 inch chocolate cake with bavarian cream filling
-bright blue fondant
-white chocolate monorail (Brian also said he'd throw in some other fun touches)
-personal message written on the cake

To be delivered to our room at Bay Lake Tower on Feb. 7th. Cost is $100 plus room service fees for delivery.

I'll post pictures here after we get it!

So...I've tried to acquire e-mail for the contemporary bakery with no luck! I've been put through to all sorts of very helpful people. Just no-one seems to want to share the e-mail address. :) Any clues anyone? Thanks.

Has anyone tried to contact Pat at GF? I left a couple of messages for her about 4 days ago and have still not heard back from her :(

Call the cake hotline and follow the prompts to the Contemporary and let them know you want the email to place a custom order!

Thanks:) I rang contemporary direct as I thought cake hotline was just for restaurants. We hope to pick it up to have in our room (at contemporary). I'll call the hotline. Thanks again.

Does ayone have an email address for ordering a cake. Its hard for me to call during the day and could email so easily. THanks.

i have not seen the e-mail address and from reading this thread it sounds as tho it is hard to get. good luck. if you get it leave it on the thread for others to get.:)

Unfortunately, there is no general email address for ordering a cake at WDW. You would need to phone first and get in touch with a pastry chef for the resort where you want the cake - then he/she can give you his/her email address.

The Cake Hotline is open fairly late in the evening, though - maybe you could try after work?

I want a giraffe cake or a monorail cake. Does anyone know if they can do that?:lovestruc

It depends on the bakery - you would need to get in touch with the pastry chef at whatever resort you will be dining at. Call the resort and ask to speak with Private Dining, then let them know you're interested in a custom cake.

Ok, we're going to be celebrating our 10th anniversary. We were married at Sunset Point. Therefore, I was thinking something along the line with a tropical feel. Maybe bright pink and orange swirled fondant with some palm trees. I also thought about having the Mickey heads stamped in gold along the side. I was also thinking about seeing if I could get the white chocolate castle. I any ideas on this? What do you think? Then where should we order it? We are eating at Chef Mickey's, the castle, sci-fi and maybe 1900 Park Fair. I want to have it when all of my family is there. We may not be eating at 1900 Park Fair until after they've left.

emails are given after speaking to the cake hotline/resort. These should not be posted on the DIS and will be removed. You need to make contact and have a plan rather than a general email addy

thanks!

For an elaborate custom cake, you'll need to order it at Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare. The theme parks can't do more than a basic cake (although a few people have had some luck getting the Contemporary bakery to deliver to Cinderella's Royal Table).

The big white chocolate castle topper costs $100. The only place I know for sure you can get it is the Grand Floridian bakery, but it may not be a big deal for the Contemporary bakery to get one for your cake too.

Question: I want to order a cake for my family while we are at AKV. We are actually staying in Kidani. Is it possible to do this? Last May we stayed at SSR and I was able to speak to someone there and they worked with me and the bakery to get what I wanted. They also had the cake delivered to SSR so I didnt have to pick it up. Can I do the same at AKV? If so, who do I ask for?

Ouch! That looks less than professional. I may call and see what they say. I could always work with the bakery myself and go pick it up. We will have a car there.

I also stoll have the original order form from my cake at SSR. I want it made exactly the same way as that one. Would it help to show/use that form?

That's what I was thinking (about where to order). I might see if they will deliver to CRT. However, they probably want a lot of $ to do that.

As far as the castle goes, I was thinking the small one. I've seen it in pictures. I'm not sure I've seen a large one.

I was looking at the posts today and came across someone asking if anyone knew if there was a toy story cake .I couldn't find a reply to her ? so I am asking the same, also Is anyone happy with the taste of the cakes? I know when I make a Cake from Scratch it has a very mild taste ,not at all like a box mix or store bought ,I think they add all the flavor to hide all the taste of the additives LOL Fondant rarely ever taste good! Is the buttercream bad also ? too sweet ,not sweet ? alot of them sure look pretty
:yay:

We will be celebrating my dd 3rd b-day while at Crystal Palace in the ressies I have noted that we were celebrating it. Will they bring her a cupcake or should I order the standard cake (white or chocholate) and have them put her name on it? Has anyone tried these are they tasy? I would like to order one a little nicer but I think it will be too expensive

From what I understand about Disney special occasion cakes, you can order one when you arrive at the restaurant, but they can't personalize it. If you want a personalized cake, you must order it ahead of time. They have all kinds, so you don't have to buy a fancy one - you can buy the standard one and have her name put on it - but you must order it at least 48 hours ahead of time from the cake hotline. Not sure if the price goes up for the personalization but I'd bet it does.

Most restaurants will bring a cupcake and/or a card. We have seen CP do this many times. When we visited last February we were celebrating my son's 11th birthday and ordered a (very expensive) cake from CP. It was beautiful but not worth the cost IMHO. DS received a card signed by the characters at CP too. He also received cupcakes at many other locations. To be on the safe side if you are desparate for a cake I would order a cheap one (or one of the treasure boxes if they do one)

My birthday was noted on all of our TS ADRs for the week (11). Only one restaurant brought an unordered treat: the California Grill - 3 days after my birthday :). The day before my birthday Les Chefs had a candle in my crepes and ice cream and on my birthday the dessert I ordered had a special birthday wish on the plate and they gave me a commemorative menu (Narcoossee's). Maybe it was because I was 41 and not 3 - who knows. I am not complaining because I left every meal without hunger. ;)
