Ok. Here is the cake I ordered from 1900 Park Fare. It normally has white icing but I ordered pink icing at no additional cost. It was $30 and was REALLY good.

This looks really cute with the pink icing! My dd would :lovestruc this!

I'd call the GF Bakery - GF Bakery407-824-2474.

I believe that its the white chocolate at 1900 - and then when you check in at 1900 they will give you a receipt for the dessert to give to your waitress - so that supposedly it can be a surprise - it depends on the server since its a buffet sometimes they havent been the best at bringing out the desserts! in my experience -

but its such a WOW dessert - and perfect for 1900 imho!

I was under the impression that they do both (white & dark) at both. I ordered a slipper for my DD's bday from CRT. We expected white; we got dark. I think it's random for what you get, but best bet would always be to ask when you call.

BTW...the one we had was DARK chocolate...not MILK. (Which means I didn't get any of that since I don't like dark chocolate, but that also means I didn't have to share my white chocolate castle from my mini castle cake we got from Narcoosee's earlier that week...both the slipper and the castle had to be saved for later.)

This was our experience as well. The CM from the cake hotline read the description to me and it said white chocolate but we got dark. My impression too is that it's random--you get whichever version they're serving that day.

That's good to know - thank you for posting!

fwiw we've ordered it for dd for our Grand Floridian Teas, and once at the 1900 - we've always gotten the white chocolate slipper with the chocolate mousse -

and it has always been my understanding in the past that the dark chocolate slipper was served on a "bed" of cake with fruit surrounding it at CRT - (dd doesnt like CRT - go figure! so I dont have any pics of that!)

The previous post is how the slipper is served at GF. Below photos are how it is served at CRT.

Here's the Dark Chocolate Slipper from CRT which cannot be ordered/specified...it would be random:

I had my birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare last night, and the cake was delicious!

Price: $62, 32 for the cake and 30 for the decorations

Date Received: July 16, 2009

Location: 1900 Park Fare

Cake info - My order form says "8 inch vanilla cake filled with custard and fresh strawberries, pink buttercream icing, Minnie Mouse themed."

Anything else special about that particular cake: I was very pleased with the result--on the phone, they kept telling me that flowers and white chocolate standees would be extra, but they were included in the decorations fee. 6 people ate it last night, and we still have half! This could easily feed 10. Also, I was told that 8 inch cakes cannot be custom decorated, but the lady that actually took my order offered it, so I accepted!

Custom cakes are so worth it, even if they are a bit expensive. It was way better than any cake I've had before, and Cinderella bringing the cake and singing Happy Birthday was just pixiedust:

I do believe I just came up with the best theme for a cake ever.

But I'm so afraid my DH will search my posts on here, that I'm afraid to talk about it.

He knows I have a surprise planned for when we go to Disney in Sept, and I think he knows it's probably a cake because I spend so much time on this thread.

If anyone would like to know or would like to help me find pictures to help design it, PM me

GAHHHH :scared: :headache:

I have to say that seeing this picture makes me upset. When I called and ordered this cake for our dinner at Narcoosee's in June, I asked if it could be done in pink -- pink icing or pink flowers or SOMETHING pink. Even though it was MY bday cake, my DD loves pink, and I just thought it would be more special. I was first told "there might be an upcharge". I said no problem, I'll pay it. I was put on hold for a minute, then the CM told me no...white only.

What did you do to get it pink?

I'm not the person who posted the picture you're referring to, but I totally understand why you would feel upset. The problem here, like so many other areas at Disney, is consistency among the CMs. Sadly, you probably got someone who wasn't motivated to go above and beyond the standard order on the miniature cake. I've also been told in the past that those cakes cannot be customized, but sometimes if you ask the right person at the right time the impossible suddenly becomes possible. I'm sorry it didn't happen for you this time but now that you know it was done for another guest, don't stop pushing for what you'd like to have the next time you decide to order something special.

We are back to Disney in Mid Oct. We will spend 5 nights at Kidani DVC. Our Aniv is Thur we are coming in on Monday. Hubby is not big on sweets what so ever. He may take a bite or two maybe. What are the prices on the chocolate Covered strawberries. We will go on the Magic after our 5 night stay. I was thinking of ordering a plate of tuxedo strawberries maybe 8 for the 8 year aniv? What else could i do with it. Can they do a pirate ship or cruise ship? And Say on the Plate Bon Voyage.?

We are coming back to WDW in Jan- we will stay 3 nights. I am celebrating a late B'day. Dec 5th (Walts B'day) I am huge Minnie fan. Hubby not a big cake fan. But I want my own cake. I could not remember the last time I had a birhtday cake. Does the Mickey face cake come as Minnie too?

Thanks. Don't get me wrong...the cake I got was wonderful. And I felt so horribly when we went for dinner (dehydrated with a headache so bad I was nauseous) and then my little sleeping beauty sleeping at the table, I was thrilled that they boxed up the whole meal after I'd spent an hour and a half in there... But... it's sad to know that they are inconsistent. I thought to myself -- what's the big deal? Instead of grabbing the white frosting for one, you grab pink? It's not like I asked for the castle to be hand painted or anything difficult.

Tsk. Okay. Shame on me. Definitely bed time. I'd wanted a huge and pretty cake, but, being on DxDP and it only being two of us from that Saturday through late Tuesday night when my mother came down...it just didn't seem like a good idea. Yummy delicious mini cake gone in a few savored bites? Perfect.

What I've seen other people do when planning a surprise is to create a new username that the loved one doesn't know about and post under that name - maybe you can try that because we're all dying to know! ;)

He'd totally know it was me, though, that's the problem!! Mghhhh! You know what! I'm not going to tip toe around it, because I'm excited about this, I think it's clever, and if he wants to ruin his surprise, then that's his own fault!

So, my original plan was to have something made that was similar to my wedding cake, when I realized that I'd rather make it WDW themed, since this is a joint DH birthday/1st anniversary trip.

I want a bellhop hat cake.

It seems so simple, yet I think it's pretty clever! (but if you tell me someone's already done it, I just might cry )

Although I'd want it detailed a little more, with the HTH logo on the front maybe? No writing, I just want it to look like the hat as much as humanly possible.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
