Does anyone know the flavor combinations of the huge cake at the Princess Tea Party? It had some kind of strawberry buttercream frosting with a strawberry mousses-type filling. I would like one like it.

It's called the "Princess Tea Party Cake" and that's what you need to ask for when you call. You might want to ask for Linda at the GF bakery when you order, she'll know what you're talking about. (Can you tell I've inquired about that yummy cake before, LOL? The manager at GF Cafe was sweet enough to find out about it for me and give me a call back, letting me know how to order it when I was ready.)

As for the GF in general, is it just me, or does it sound like they don't really want to take custom cake orders any more? Maybe they're swamped, I don't know, but if that's the case you'd think they would just hire more people. :confused3

Hopefully someone will be able to answer my question. My two oldest children will be celebrating birthdays at disney in Sept. Now we are only going to be ordering one cake for them both. We are either eating at Hoop Dee Doo Musical Reveue or Ohana's now who would I call for these places and if anyone has ever had one from here are they good and and pics??

Not sure about HDDR, but if you cruise through the posts on this thread, some of the beautiful cakes are from 'Ohana. You just have to call them and place a special order no later than 48 hours before. :thumbsup2

I noticed that there was a style of cake where you can get any character on it, correct?
Is it possible for Peter Pan to be put on a cake?
:goodvibes

More than likely. I was told I could get any character except Pooh and Pixar. I was able to get Koda from Brother Bear on my sister's, which is kind of a unique request so I'm sure they have Peter Pan. It was $8 for the edible image.

Still haven't heard if anyone has ever had or seen a Stitch cake...????

You were wanting Choco with pb filling. You may want to call GF like I said I had issues with them and they were NOT helpfull. I don't know if they can do a stitch shape cake since I wanted a pirates themed cake for my hubby to surprise him with it and they offered hardly NO ideas or even worthwhile things they could do for it, and I spoke to the baker about it. Also unless you are getting a 10 inch and above which starts at feeding 16 people and up and the price for a cake like that was 60 dollars that would be the only way you would be able to choose your cake and filling choices. They DO NOT he said offer anything but vanilla and chocolate, with vanilla filling or chocolate filling for the 6 inch and 8 inch cake. Which I read on here 8 inch should have been able to be customized, but was told by the baker he could only allow it if I ordered the bigger cake. They said I could not pick it up, but also said they will deliver it if I was staying at the GF, or dining at one of the venues. I have not heard of anywhere else doing a pb filling I suggest calling around.

Anyone know about ordereing special cakes at DisneyLAND?

I found this info...

Cake..................Serving..................Price

6" Round...............6 - 8.......................$18

10" Round.............10 - 14....................$23.50

1/4 Sheet.............20...........................$38

1/2 Sheet.............40...........................$51

Full Sheet.............80...........................$85

10" Cheesecake.....10 - 14.....................$25

So now I have to decide where I want to have my birthday dinner.... Napa Rose, Storytellers Cafe, or Goofy's Kitchen.

I had wanted to do the Fantasmic dessert buffet with priority seating, but Fantasmic in under rehab until atleast May 31st. :sad1:

I know that depending on the details of the cake (I.E how elaborate of cake you are going for) will alter what the cake costs. Like you may pay sheet cake prices and it be not even half the size.

Lostgirlz, sorry about your bad experience :(

Thank you. I am not sure why they gave me such a hard time. They acted like they did not even want to do it for me when I mentioned AKL as my resort at first, and told me to call them. Well, AKL only does the zebra cake and you can't alter the flavor or anything. I mentioned it was to surprise my DH on our first trip and honeymoon, and basically told them I would like to see what they could do for me. They told me their cakes are customized, and they have nothing set they do. I said that's fine which I stated I was looking for something special not something ordinary. I asked for something in the Pirates movie theme for him which then he asked what was I looking for, and I said something kind of set around Jack. Well, they offered me 2 decos they imported in from west coast, and could just put those on there. Not really what I was looking for just a basic couple of decos seeing all the nice cakes, and (one someone had ordered of jack sparrow on this thread) I expected something a bit nicer, since it was a special celebration and meant something to me. I was told 6 inch couldnt be customized. It could have something on it, but chocolate or vanilla were what my options where for both cake and filling, so I proceeded to ask about the 8 inch since hearing on here they can customize those. Again he told me no that I would need to order a larger cake starting at about 60 dollars then it would go from there depending on how much decorations cost. Then I would be able to pick my cake flavor and filling 10 inch fed 16 people, and would have been a bigger waste much bigger than an 8 inch. I honestly did not understand that, and asked if I had it delivered to our 1900 breakfast would they maybe be able to hold it for us since we would be going to the parks and if we could pick it up on the way out of the park that afternoon. I was told no they could box it up and it would hold up through the park. I just really felt they were a bit rude and not wanting to really help me at all. I nixed ordering the cake which I hate and regret, but I just honestly felt small when talking to them the service was not friendly, nor helpfull, and I ended up feeling like a bother to them. It was not worth having to go through so much with them for it.

OK...I have managed to update the picture gallery on the first couple of pages again.....

Some of these cakes are amazing.
