Official Birthday/Anniversary Cake thread

We celebrated an anniversary at Biergarten. At the end of dinner they brought our a small (probably 6 in) cake with mickey on it and multi colored pastels on it. It was nice and they didn't charge us for it. And we did not ask for it either. It was a surprise.

But last year we ate there for our anniversary, had it noted same as last time. And NOTHING happened. So it seems to be hit and miss I guess.

If you for sure want the small cake, be sure to request when making ressie.

Blessings,
Winnie

Has anyone ordered a cake from the Swan? have the phone # or and special instructions? I'd like to for DH's birthday on the 30th. Thanks

Has anyone ever ordered a cake for Liberty Tree Tavern? Thinking of taking our DD here for her b-day lunch in December. We really want to take her somewhere where we can get a pre-ordered cake for her. Looking for a TS luch in MK and LTT is all I could think of!!

Hi all
I phoned the new telephone number today to order a cake for CRT in July. :woohoo: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
I thought I could order what I liked but was given a choice of the $12 cake or if I wanted something more individual my choice was a chocolate or white
butter cream cake with happy birthday on it.
If I paid another $8 I could have a charecter on it .So I went for Sleeping Beauty as my daughter always feels that is her character .:cloud9:
I hope it is good as we are going in July I will post photos.
Has anyone had a cake like this and what was their experience?:confused3

I paid $25 for the customized 8 inch cake I ordered for our meal at CRT. I picked chocolate! It was quite good! This was Nov 2005.

Thank you both very much for the info about the cakes at LTT. I was wondering if either of you could tell me the # that you called and what choices they gave you and what you chose and if it was good???? Geez, I think I met my question quota of the dy!!! Thanks so much for any info you can give me!

Hi, can anyone tell me if there are pictures of cakes that they can produce at the Boardwalk? I know there are pictures on here but wondered if there was a list/pictures anywhere to look at as I don't really know what I want.

I want to get something delivered to Spoodles for my boyfriends birthday (and my marriage proposal!) so wanted to have a look at some options.

Thanks.

This thread is brilliant.

I thought I would include the cake my DH got for me from the Boardwalk Bakery. He told them what I liked and let them get on with it.
It was chocolate and delicious.

He can't remember exactly how much the cake was but he thinks it was about $20

okay we had an awful experience with a cake we ordered and paid $40 for a cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday last year at princess storybook dining the cake came while we were not at the table but up seeing the princess for a portait and that was it the waiter just left it there, and it was a plain square cake with a small picture of mickey in the middle of the cake

Sounds like you did not get your cake.

That looks nice. Did he order it ahead of time or did he just walk in and get it? I think that is what we are going to try this year instead of ordering just seeing what they have there.

Ok, so I'm lazy right now! Can you just order a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery, even if you are not a hotel guest there? How does that work? Then you just go and pick it up and bring it back to your resort?
Thanks for any help! I get lost in this thread!

Boardwalk Bakery is an actual bakery on the Boardwalk. You can walk in and pick up one that's already made or you can try and call them to request something special. I believe the number is on page one of this thread.

Or, if you are staying onsite, you could just call the cake 'hot line' and arrange it at your resort that way. I believe the 'hot line' number is also on page one.

I'd love for folks to weigh in with more recent cake experiences to hear how things are the same or different since the centralized "cake hotline" has come up! Have they standardized the options at all? Is the information more consistant? Or is it just a referral line that transfers you to the appropriate restaurant/bakery?
