I will have to make a point of getting to Maelstrom on the 15th. It's one of my favourite rides.

I'm sad about Maelstrom!! I noticed it wasn't showing up and wondered why. We'll be there but didn't have any Epcot days planned for the 14th and 15th. Oh well, next time!!

I've been moving some of my FP times around. It's easy for those of you who were worried!! They may just win me over to this new system yet....depending on how many past 3 I can get

I've got to do mine tonight too!!! But, I am just going to do my Anna & Elsa day tonight and the rest tomorrow....Anna & Elsa is the only FP I am worried about!

We have a split stay and I was able to make fp's during both resort times. As long as you have tickets linked and you are at a Disney resort it shouldn't matter.

To be able to do the 60 Day, with a split stay, you will have to have both resort stays linked with you My Disney Experience. The stay not the tickets get you your 60 day mark. Although, you will need your tickets linked to get fastpasses. I had difficulty with my split stay resorts both showing up, but then got that fixed. If both stays are showing up on your My Disney Experience, you will be good to go.

I'm not 100% sure they're linked. I'm renting points. The dvc owner said he'd linked them, but can't verify that was done for sure. I manually entered the three reservation numbers in MDE though and they're showing up. My tickets are linked in there as well.

As long as your reservation and ticket are showing up on MDE then they are linked

Wow! So much time's passed since I was last here! I've switched from POR for the full trip, to just the first 4 nights, then we're going to AKV, in a 1bdrm savannah view! I'm so excited about this!

Life's been super busy here while we've packed to move house, listing, showings, and all the stress that goes with that. We're really hoping to be moved before we go to WDW, but the crunch is on! Luckily, the house we want to move to is vacant, so short notice can work - as long as we can hire a mover in time.

To everyone panicking about making their FP+ reservations:

Have no fear!!

The system is so simple, anyone who is able to turn on a computer should be able to do it with no problems.

It took me 20 minutes to make reservations for 7 park days, and that includes modifying times to get them right where I want them.

I got every single ride I wanted FPs for for the exact time frames I wanted.

So have no fear, fellow DISers, you can do it!!

My DD who is now 19 was lucky enough to get a job at a local garden center when she was 15. This is the 5th year jars worked there, which seems crazy at her age. She's also soon a paid internship at a local fort (she's a history major). DS (17) started working last summer, but did not like his job. He just got a job at Taco Bell, which I hope he likes better! I am that mean mom who makes them work in the summer

My parents were the mean parents who wouldn't let me get a job in HS. Oh, they said, sure go ahead, but then always had a reason why I wasn't able to take one or another... They meant well...

Hi, everyone.. It's been a while since I posted here.. I just wanted to share that I paid off my dvc points rental today and linked my UT tickets to my MDE account so that I can try to set up my FP+ in about 10 days. It's good to see that it's fairly easy. Sorry if this was answered, I only went back about 2 pages.. What time (Florida time) can you get in and set them up? Also, I'm doing a split stay. Can I only do them one stay at a time? That's how my ADRs worked, so I have a bad feeling about that.. Thanks!

Sat down today and really mapped out my FP selections since I am now 4 days away! For me it is really really hard to predict where we will be at any moment through the day! I did what i think will work and i will try to just give the rest up to the universe! (yeah, right, like I won't look at it a thousand times btw now and then!LOL!) I must admit, the planner side of me really enjoyed looking at all the choices and trying to figure out the best plan. I guess only time will tell if i did a good job! Can't wait for Tues midnight to see if i get what i want!

We've always been a fly by the seat of the pants type. I'm really nervous about FP+ We also really try to focus on the story being shown through the park. We like to stop and enjoy the sights, sounds, smells etc.

Don't you have fp's to book in the next week and a half or so? I think that's the hardest part of planning. FP times are when I really second guess myself.

I'm so worried about planning FP+s lol What if I make a mistake and ruin my whole vacation?

Question of the Day.......Is your trip paid off?

It was, until yesterday, when I switched to a split stay POR/AKV. Now I have another $1000 to pay plus food and spending.

Well.....we went ahead and changed our reservation from GF CL to a royal room at POR....thus saving $2500!

With a new little one on the way, we are looking at a new car, and adding a bedroom and bathroom to our house. It only made sense to cut back on the cost of our Disney trip.

We've never stayed at POR (loved POFQ though!), but really wanted to try the royal rooms before the family is too big to stay in them.

1st trimester is kicking my butt, but I'm going on 10 weeks now so hopefully I'll start feeling better soon.

At least I have a $2500 refund to look forward too!

Okay everyone I am really excited!!!!!

I had accepted and made peace with the fact that we were going to drive.......but this morning we booked airfare!!!!!!!
I couldn't resist the $109 flight down! Our traveling dates are a bit earlier now too.

Now we are booked Aug. 14th - Aug. 29th!!!!! 15 days!!!! First three days at Pop, then 12 days at POFQ.

Which brings me to day 61......I have to make my FP selections at midnight!

That's so exciting!

A refund is nice, but it won't be as big as I had noted, because....I ditched POR for AKL Arusha View Bunk Bed room....

Our last Disney trip was good. I can tell when my kids are having fun. Adam cake home and announced he hated me and was going to live with his dad. We are slowly gorging a relationship back together but not well enough to take him to WDW. Plus, Claire knows it's just her , just me and Claire together. But there's this piece of me that wants Adam there too, le sigh

I rented directly from a dvc owner, so each can set their own terms. Mine was 30% at booking with balance at 2 months.

That's what I'm struggling with now. We're not rope drop people, so I have no idea what time we'll actually arrive at the parks. We are rope drop people, but I aimed for early afternoon (starting around noon). My logic was that we could go to whatever we wanted at rd, and then if my daughter needs a break, we could fit the FP rides in before nap time. If she didn't need a break, we could try to schedule more. I just made sure I booked the big rides. Left the less popular ones for no FP or extra fp after the original 3.

Yes that's very exciting! Us too, though our FP+ selections aren't til Friday at 10 pm here as our Disney days don't start til the 20th lol.
