I am in my twenties and would feel so guilty about dropping everything and going to Disney (but I'm a teacher so I couldn't anyway lol)

I have like two more weeks til FP+ reservations! I was going to stay up to do them but I get up so early for work anyway that I figure I'll do the important ones first thing before getting ready that morning then finish them out once I'm at work.

What we really need to do is figure out when we want to do what rides instead of just what we want to do! :rotfl:

I'm a teacher too! I was gonna go for the long weekend-leave Friday night and be back on Monday. It my head, it was an awesome trip :)

I booked our Magical Express reservations last night. DD is flying down by herself the day after the rest of us, so she needs to take the bus by herself (she's so excited, but my stomach tightens up a little bit as I type this). Then my GF and her DD fly home a day before my family departs, so I booked 3 travel requests at the same time. I hope I did it right! I guess I'll find out when the "Mickey Mail" arrives with our luggage tags in late June/early July.

Just under a month until FP+ bookings - -- I really need to research this process more, so I have a clue!

I booked my Magical Express around May 6th and I already got my "Mickey Mail" It came the same day as my rewards card for Visa. It was a great day : ) It was my first time too and we had 5 flying, 2 driving and even though I only booked for 5 on the bus it sent everything as if 7 were flying. So I just called and had it fixed.

I would be nervous too but at least it's a US airport and Disney will take great care of her on the bus : )

I keep forgetting about the long weekend this weekend! :cheer2:

This was the week I used to always go to Florida in college. such fond memories lol.

Wow life's been wild I've barely been on the boards, we suddenly decided to sell our home so have been madly packing, cleaning, and trying to sell while trying to purchase! :crazy2:

So busy, and I missed my 100 day count down! 99 to go! We're in the double digits!

Now have several pages to catch up on!

Hi there, our ticker time is the same :) Do you arrive Aug. 26th?

88 days for us!!!!

But.....(and I can't believe I am really writing this right now....)

On Mother's Day (of all days ), DH and I found out that we are expecting! :faint:

This will be our 3rd child, and was completely...I mean completely unexpected. (our two girls are 10 and 7 right now).

I am only in my 6th week, and normally wouldn't even be talking about being pregnant this early, however, it is such a shock to us, and with the trip and all, I feel so overwhelmed!!

DH is so excited, and we did tell our girls. I wanted to cancel the trip, but DH and the girls still want to go. I just feel like being 20 wks pregnant in August in Florida will not be pretty.

Also, I am wondering if I do decide we will still go (will make the decision once we are past that 12 week mark - around 7/4/14) I feel like we should switch from the GF over to AKL, as AKL has always been on the list and won't be an option once we are a party of 5. :scared1:

Also, my AKL option is $2k cheaper and considering we just got a quote to add a bedroom and bathroom to our home, given our new situation, saving some money would be ideal.

What would you do??? Keep the trip? Change to AKL??

I am sooooo overwhelmed right now and still cannot believe that I am pregnant!

Congratulations! For me, there is no debate. I would absolutely switch to AKL. Save the money and enjoy!

Congrats! I would definitely save the money and go with AKL instead of GF. And your girls are the right age to really start finding the savannah at the hotel cool, too.

Thanks guys! I am just struggling with whether to pull the trigger now, or to wait until 12 weeks and risk not having it available....:scratchin

Totally agree!

It would bug me to have that hanging over my head. Personally, I'd make the switch sooner than later! :goodvibes

ThereYouSeeHer is two for two :thumbsup2 . I completely agree again!

Haha. Thanks!

Well, we booked free dining for November, and I bought our non-refundable MVMCP tickets today. So, although we are officially not going in August, I will be hanging around this thread anyway!

As for next year, we are planning to cruise at the end of September and visit WDW for our first MNSSHP in October!

Hey, that makes for a good QOTD:

Are you already making plans for the "next trip"?

If so, when do you expect to return?

What might be new or different about your next vacation vs. this one?

Completely agree with this! That way there's far less stress - both on vacation and on your wallets!

Hm....I want to start planning next year's trip, and Jem really wants to do a MNSSHP next year. It all depends on if I can get time off from work/am no longer working in a school system. So at the moment we're looking at a shorter length of stay, MNSSHP, F&W, FD, and probably a different Moderate hotel (not that we won't like CBR but we want to try all the hotels!)

Always planning the next trip!!! And rolling off of my prior post, yes, we are already planning the next trip. We have to! We have AP's...but, our next trip was planned for April, but now we are moving it to June, because of the now impending arrival (God Willing) of our new bambino. It will be baby's first trip, and he/she will be about 5 months old!!!

That will be incredibly new for us, taking a baby (we didn't take our girls until they were 3 and 5), and 1st trip as a family of five. Hoping to stay at the Polynesian for that one.
