Question of the DAY!!!

DH and I are wanting of doing something else inside the parks or WDW so my question is ...

Do you do tours in WDW? If so which ones?

We've done the Wild Africa Trek and loved it! at year we are doing the Keys to The Kingdom tour. We did the Wal
k in Walts Footsteps Tour in Disneyland last year and it was AMAZING!!!!
Also, while it's not a tour, we've done the Dine With an Imagineer and loved it. We're doing it again this year! Can't wait! :yay::yay::yay:

I would love to try a tour, but we'll have to wait until the kids get a bit older. :goodvibes

We have done 2 tours. 1 was the Family Magic Tour. I can 't say enough good things about our experience! I highly recommend this for kids age 4-9. We were lucky enough to be the only family as we went on a scavenger hunt through the Magic Kingdom. We got to ride on 2 rides along the way and had a private meet and greet with 2 special...hard to find...characters as we saved the MK from Captain Hook.
My DH and I also got to do the KTTK tour a few years ago. My SIL was on her own trip and watched the boys for us since hte age is 16+. We loved this tour and learned some new information and got some great behind the scenes view of MK, including the utilidors.

I never posted my dates!

And I can not wait!!!!
Is it bad that I'm looking forward to the start of the End of summer? :lmao:

OMG! Here I am feeling guilty about wanting the summer to fly! I guess I'm not alone. That's why I love Dis Boards! This is the first time I don't dread August coming and being a teacher that is saying a lot!! I have Disney World fever!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:pixiedust:

Omg, i still havent booked my ADRs! Havent even really thought about it. IDK whats wrong with me, I am such an obsessive planner. I'm spending more time thinking ahout what i'll do on our april trip than i am on this trip. Granted, theres not a lot to plan when its just DH and I but still, i need to at least book our dinners. Plus, i think i am just emotionally exhausted from dealing with trying to get all my clients free dining this past week....:crazy2:

For dinners i'm thinking of:

-Liberty tree tavern
-Artist Point
-Teppan Edo
-?Ohana? (If I can even snag an opening.....)

Lunch:

-Whispering Canyon
Rest QS

This will be the first time for all of those

I've been here on an off over the past few years... but we're going back again. Trying something a little different and staying at the FW cabins 8/25-29 (we're adding this onto a trip to see family in Tampa).

My kids have been a number of times, but we are taking my daughters best friend of 8 years this time and she has never been! It's going to be neat to see the park through someone's eyes who hasn't seen it before!

Welcome to everyone who recently jumped on the August train!! Sooo excited for our trips!!

I don't really think you'll have trouble with Ohana I hear many people not wanting to go near poly because of all the construction.

I'm sure you'll get what you want for ADR's they're easier to come by for a smaller party.

I really know what you mean, this past Dec we took my 19yr old neice and i could see the wonder in her eyes.:goodvibes She actaully went on the DVC meeting and is sesiously thinking of when she gets older becoming a DVC member.

What a quiet weekend on our thread!!

Did all the moms out there have a nice Mothers Day?

Thank you I did as DH and I went to visit my mom whom lives 4 hours away so it was drive 2 hour visit drive back... Good thing we left at 7 am to get there at a good time.

We got back and DH phoned his mom and talked (more listened) to his mom for over an hour... I told him he should of put the ear piece in as his hand wouldn't of hurt so much froming holding the phone near his ear...

QOTD:

What vacation-specific items do you still have to purchase for your trip?

My answers......

- beach towels (the big, oversized ones....found some I like at Quilts Etc. at our local mall that I think I will try to pick up this weekend)

- water shoes for the kiddo and I (we have normal feet :rotfl: so we can grab those cheaply at our local Walmart as soon as their summer stock is fully rolled out)

- camera batteries

- swimsuits for moi (though I won't order those until a week before we leave, as there's a brand I like that's only available in the US and they won't ship to Canada :headache: .... so I will have them shipped to Syracuse and take them with me from there)

- SPF 100 sunscreen (haven't found anything above 60 at our local retailers)

I am sure there is more but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

That is a great question as DH and I only want to take carry ons:rotfl2: So I will have to buy there:crazy2: or get shipped to our resort.

So for now I need sunscreen and Aloe for the afterburn:cool2:
It would be great to HAVE to buy a new swimsuit as I will be too small for the one I have now:yay: which would mean a whole new summer wardrobe..:cool1:
An SD card as buying there is
Would like more rechargeable batteries but not sure at this point if we are taking the bigger camera or our waterproof one or both...
