So, Our youngest DD used to be extremely shy (she has since been growing out of that and totally blossoming).
Well, on one trip, when she was 5 and still unbelievably shy, we were at DHS in a store making a purchase. The register CM was asking us a bunch of trivia questions and we were nailing them all (while DD hid behind me)...well, he asked for the name of the bear in Brave (which was still fairly new at the time) and we all drew a blank.
Finally, we heard the teensiest, tiniest little voice speak up and say "Mordu?"
We were shocked!! We knew it was DD and couldn't believe she actually spoke up. The CM bent down over the register just to see her and said "what did you say?" And she stepped out and said "MORDU" with much more confidence. The CM started to celebrate and ended up giving her a bunch of stickers and a small stuffed Mickey! She was so proud of herself....and I can honestly say that's when her shyness started to melt away. She found her voice at Disney.
We still always talk about that story.
