****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Well , I did manage to get all the laundry done. Now have to decide what to pack. Tomorrow, we drop the dogs at the vet and run a few errands. I have to get everything done by 6PM since I am going to a concert. Then we fly out Wednesday morning.
Can't wait to book that bounceback, how many of us are going to be doing that? We should start the Official August 2013 thread, it would function as our PD (Post-Disney) support group and a planning group!
Me, me, me! Love booking the bounceback and not sweating it out waiting for discounts!

I would be right there with you guys, but our family decided that for next year's trip we are going to be venturing West and seeing the West Coast parks instead of going to WDW :goodvibes....we all decided that we wanted to wait until the FLE is completed before going back, plus I want to see the park that Walt had a first hand in making...and the fact that, we are all dying to see Carsland :lmao:. We have never been to DLR before, and I have never been West ever either. We are very excited about that trip and once we are home from this upcoming one, you can bet that I will be doing some major homework on DLR and San Diego (the other area we want to go to) :cool1:.

I am so sad right now. We are going home :( I JUST WANT TO GO BACK!!!!
Even though I don't want to go home, I had such an amazing time and I can't wait to share my trip with all of you :goodvibes

Anyone else watching Destination America tonight? They had the Animal Kingdom special, then Undiscovered Disney Parks, now the regular WDW show is coming up. Nice way to pass the time tonight :)

Awww, it sounded amazing from what you posted on Twitter! Can't wait to hear about it! Will it help or make you more sad when I start tweeting my trip tomorrow? :)

Definitely planning on booking the bounceback (also looking into DVC)! And yes to an Aug 13 page! :cool1:

August 2012 Rocks! Just thought I would make sure everyone knows :)

True story! You are all great! Hope to meet up with some of you THIS WEEK! :cool1::cool1::banana::thumbsup2

I really have to go sleep now, because I am leaving in the morning! Not sure it will work out, but will try!

Oh man oh man it is such an awesome thing to say..."I am going to Disney this week" :dance3:

Oh yeah! Bought a new camera today. Samsung WB150F, 18x zoom and WiFi enabled!!!! With the free WiFi at MK and in the resort I can share pics direct from the camera to FaceBook!! So now I only have a few days to figure it out LOL.

Very nice! I am still debating what kinda of camera I am taking with us to the trip. I have a few but I am worrying about the rain and the ride. I used my camera for professional photos. But if I am taking my point n shoot, I am worry I wont be happy with the quality. Camera will be the last thing I will worry right now. Anyone have any advice on camera?

Oh 6 days left for us here! Just wonder who else havent gone yet and when will you be going? Just like roll call.

We leave on Thursday morning at 4:30am and come back on 8/31. I will be doing a Dining Report!

Pigletto,
I watched to weather on the 11pm news tonight and guess who is churning in the Atlantic??? You betcha, it's Isaac. And apparently he doesn't know which way he wants to go yet. Lesser Antilles (spelling), Florida, the northeast, or back out to sea. But what they did know, it would all happen next week. Anyone want to start a pool to guess??? I will now go get a few more ponchos for my trip so I can happily slosh around WDW...

I brought my big boy camera with my huge lens, and loved every second of it! Yes, it is big and cumbersome at times, but you can't beat the quality of the photos. I use a Black Rapid strap which makes it much more comfortable to carry around. I'd say my lens and camera combo weighs about 4 pounds but the only time it bothered me was when my shoulders were sunburned.

I was debating booking the bounceback just in case. But at this point we're pretty sure we're not doing a WDW trip next year. We just decided to book a 9 day cruise for next March and will likely camp a few times in the summer. I think next year we're saving our trips to vacations with our close friends since we all love spending time together but none of them care for WDW like we do! I almost booked DLR for Jan/March/July next year and was getting into nitty gritty planning....but I think we'll wait until my Mom can come visit us to do it with her.

In the meantime, anyone have ideas for a cheap adult's 4 day weekend trip next year? We have lots of points on Southwest and will fly out of Detroit....just don't have a place i'm aching to visit at this point.

I am so sad right now. We are going home :( I JUST WANT TO GO BACK!!!!

Awwwww....i know we'll feel the same way at the end of our trip!

Also, with all the chatter about Isaac....DH was tracking storms today and was grumbling about some hurricane building up (he's a weather worrywort!). He was in shock when I assured him I knew all about Isaac. He actually tried to find this thread so he could read what you guys are saying about Isaac! Hee hee...too complicated for him to find though.

In 48 HOURS I will be in my room at Pop unpacking frantically while everyone else sleeps!

Yes, I would love to have my big boy camera with me. I am so easy to irritate when it comes to my photos (my kids ;) DH kept trying to convince me to take a "small" one this trip but I dont want to miss out on the magic moments. I want to capture all of it. Yeah, all the lenses will weight that much. I am 5ft tall with 1 yrs old boy and a 3 yrs old girl.. That is why my DH wants me to take it easy. He even bought photopass+ so the family photographer can take a break.
Oh, how do you do it with the rain. I am so worry the rain will get to it. :guilty:

I have a 17 month old and 8 year old. It wasn't too bad. We did PP+ and I have lots of great shots from that, but I also have tons of photos they couldn't capture. My DD walking around CP with Pooh Bear holding her hand. DS coming down the slide at the pool. Things like that where you need a fast lens to get the perfect shot. As for the rain, my D700 and 24-70mm lens are both water resistant so I didn't worry too much. When it was torrential downpours I had it in a waterproof bag I picked up in the Emporium for like $20.

Thank you for sharing me your story. It helps me in this huge decision making. :) I think I will need to look into the waterproof bag. I cant wait.
Once again, August Diser comes to rescue. :cheer2::grouphug:
