****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Good morning from Disney World! I can't believe I am awake already....although it always happens on my first day of my trip:) I will be sorry later, but once my eyes open, my mind starts going:)
Last night we decided to make today a MK day instead of an AK day. It was an easy switch since we have Ohana tonight. The only glitch was that I made reservations at the barbershop for Friday, so I hopped in the phone at 9:58 last night to make new reservations. I could get 2 separate appts today, at 10 and 5. Here's hoping I can get them both done at 10. It cuts into our morning routine, but I am trying to relax and do things at a calmer pace this trip. :scared1:

A few notes about the trip so far....
We love the rental car...great move for this trip since we are hopping and doing a few resort adrs. For the price we got, we are happy!
SSR is a nice resort! We are in the closest building to the main pool, restaurants, etc. There are some nice extras that the kids are excited about.

Our dresser was broken when we got here....took 2 requests to have someone come to take care of it, but they came pretty quickly after the 2nd request.
My kids were so excited to see Stacy on the tv....they even remember her name! She has to update her Dumbo footage though:)

Tomorrow we are off to our first family trip to Sea World. The kids don't know yet, so I am actually holding in a good surprise!:woohoo:

Here's hoping it is a comfortable here today as it was when we got here yesterday. Low humidity is a plus here!

Have a great day everyone!

Have fun! Our last 2 weeks of waiting are going by soooooooo slowly!! I love hearing from those of you already there. Thanks for the update!

4 Days!!!:woohoo: WaHoo!

Here is a question, does Disney sell backpacks in the parks or DTD? I have all DS's supplies except his backpack, lunch bag and indoor sneakers. i was thinking a backpack from Disney World would be a great souviner, since he sart school right after we get back!

only 3 days of work left adn I get 2.5 weeks off....I CANNOT wait!

Just DisneyMomFanatics techhead doing his thing again. From his train ride to work. With a new app.

And testing his ability to edit his posts.

8 days to go.

Just want to pop in and say hi to everyone. I haven't been on the boards lately too much, but we got some news from Victoria's doctor on Friday that kind of thrown us for a loop. The doctor suspects Victoria has Polycystic ovarian syndrome. The are referring her to the endocrinologist down in Portland and the appointment will be AFTER we come back. I know this isn't a death sentence and the severity of the condition will determine the treatment plan, but it's just another thing my poor 14 year old has to deal with. She's been sick all her life and it breaks my heart when she asks my why can't she be like everyone else. It's hard to console her when I'm thinking the same exact thing!

THIS, MY FRIENDS, IS WHY WE GO TO DISNEY WHEN WE CAN!!! WE ARE ALL HAPPY AND HEALTHY THERE....EVEN FOR A SHORT TIME! :goodvibes

I just saw this post and wanted to say that my neice and my sister both have PCOS. My sister was not diagnosed until her mid 30's and was unable to get pregnant after multiple rounds of invitro. but my niece was diagnosed at 17 and is on meds (I'm not sure which - I beleive the meds she's on are really for diabetes) but is doing fine. We are also watching my daughter for the same thing as she has a lot of the same symptoms that my sister and neice had. THoughts and prayers to you and your daughter.

This week is the looooooongest!!!!!!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3: I am really starting to crave some Tonga Toast. I have my sis-law coming for a visit until the day before we leave so our house will be crazy hetic. 6 teenage boys in total!!! I can't wait until she arrives today perhaps I won't notice the clock ticking ever so slowly. I have started to pack but we have a few family dinners this week and everyone wants to wear their new clothes so last minute laundry will have to do. Everyone getting excited??????????????

Yes! They have a backpack to purchase for $18.95 when you spend $40. It is dark grey with a redish WDW logo and classic Mickey. Really cute...not at every store though!

I always wake early too, except I do it every morning. For some reason, I have a problem sleeping away from home.

Have fun today!! I'll be in MK in less than 60 hours.

OK, gotta ask about the rental car. What company did you use and what rate did you get? Do you find it's hard to drive around the area? We've never rented a car and the area around Disney seems kind of confusing. And was it a hassle at the airport picking your car up? Did you have to wait forever in line?

I'm trying to make a very last minute decision here, as we're spending two days off site, (at least), at Universal. The cheapest rate I've found for a rental car, base rate and taxes was around $180. Add to that gas and several toll booths and I figure around $225, plus the parking fees I'll have to pay in the Universal garage for two separate days, plus possibly Sea World since we have free admission, I'm looking at close to $300 by the time it's all said and done.

On the other hand, I can get an amazing military rate at the Royal Pacific at Universal, with one hour early admission to the WWoHP and Express Plus passes for both parks included for $380. I would have to cab over there and cab to the airport, so another $100 tacked on to that for transportation.

I'm not rolling in the dough, but the extra $100 may be worth it by the time it's all said and done for the extra perks.

I'm so confused, HELP ME TEAM AUGUST!

So cute! Love it! Very creative. You look adorable too! :)

I have 2.75 days of work left then Saturday we leave for WDW and Sunday we get there and Monday Magic Kingdom!!!!!! I would say how many days I have left but depends on what day to count from!!! :cool1: :hyper:

I seriously need to start real packing instead of just throwing stuff onto the guest bed.

Tonight I have a chiropractor appointment. I hope he can fix me up so I can walk okay at Disney i've been good at going 2x a week the past few weeks I hope I do okay.

Tomorrow I want to get a pedicure and maybe manicure. I am an odd female. I actually don't enjoy getting this done but I like the end result, it lasts much longer than when I do it. I haven't had one (that someone else gave me) in over 2 maybe 3 years... I don't like strangers touching me. :lmao: I guess I could go buy some Disney polish and do it myself tomorrow night. Hrmm. We shall see.

Friday my mother in law is coming to help my DH clean while I am at work! Yay! I don't mind the help. When DH is down like he was this past month I struggle to work, take care of him and the house. It looks okay right now but extra hands to clean I will always appreciate. :)

Also I realized while I have my park outfits picked I don't have outfits picked for the car ride. :scratchin
