****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

ETA again: We tried doing the "X" more sleeps thing with DD. She asked if she could start taking more naps, since those are sleeps, then we could go sooner! Love 3 yr old logic!

I LOVE this! My kinda gal! :rotfl2:

What to do tomorrow night? Help us decide!
We will unpack, swim for a bit, then....
A: Head to DTD for dinner at Earl of Sandwich
B: Head to Epcot for Illuminations
C: Head to BLT for the TOWL to see Wishes
D: Fantasmic!
E: Relax at pool to be ready for 8 am rope drop at AK Wed.

What hotel are you staying at? Going to either Illuminations or Fantasmic would work if you don't have to wait for a bus back to your hotel and you were staying at BW or BC. It's one of the reasons we bought into DVC at BW. I just love the quick walk/boat back.

I think I would vote for E also. Get some rest and be all set for the next day's fun at AK.

Have a great trip!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Lab results came in and my levels are at a 2.5 which couldn't be more perfect!! I guess adjusting the medicine and my diet totally worked... thank goodness!! But I literally left there and haven't stopped since. I had all sorts of stuff that I hadn't done since I just wasn't sure and didn't want to jinx myself! Now, I have 4 bags packed to check, 2 carry-ons and a whole bunch more to grab and pack tomorrow. I've never had to pack for such a large trip and there's so much to bring!!! Oh well, it's so worth it! 36 more hours and I'll be in Florida on the ME!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! The pixie dust definitely worked!

I'm debating ADRs now. 1900 Park Faire dinner or Tusker House breakfast.

I chose 1900 Park Faire a long time ago to spend some time with the stepsisters. However, our family is not big into character meals - we prefer to meet the characters in the parks. So now I'm wondering if we should just skip it and meet the stepsisters at the parks. Now I just don't know if 1900 park Faire is worth it.

Tusker House bfast sounds appealing to me for the food choices. My family will mostly stick to the usual bfast and not do too much of the exotic stuff. But we are doing Boma that night as well. They do like bfast buffets a lot so it might still be a good choice.

I think I need therapy.

We went to 1900 Park Faire for Dinner in 2010 and it was AWESOME. The character interaction with the Step-Sisters. They were so in character and playing it up. The food is ok to good, but the characters is what makes this meal really worth it. I was sad that we couldn't fit dinner in here this trip. Oh, well.

I vote for 1900 also! I thought that the food was great and the interaction is spot on! I also have never seen the step family in the parks. If you are on the dining plan, it is also a better bang for your buck!

Hold on tight, cause here we go!!!! I got more sleep than I anticipated....it would have been more but DS5 was determined to stay up all night. He kept counting the minutes til midnight! I think I was out before he was:) The dog sitter will meet us here about 6:30 and then we'll hit the road! It's so exciting to stay in a DVC for the first time! I will keep you posted! Have a great day!

We did both on our 2009 trip.

Between the two, for character interaction, 1900 Park Fare wins hands-down. The Royal Family is very "in character" and made the meal (the food was great too, though). The stepsisters are super entertaining.

Tusker House was also great, but we prefer the large buffet meals for dinner as opposed to breakfast.....when our stomach capacity can accommodate all the choices better :rotfl2: .

5 days! Cannot believe how close it's getting!!! :dance3: My boy is leaving me again today to go camping with Nannie and Papa until friday, then we leave bright and early Sunday! i will miss but it gives me time to focus on getting work caught up and getting ready to go!

We do 1900 PF every year. It's one of the best character meals on site in our opinion. I've never seen the step family in the parks and they really put on a terrific show. They never come out of character and it's absolutely hysterical! It is one of the more expensive meals so if you are on the dining plan, it gives you a good value for your meal credit as well.

Whatever you decide I'm sure you will have a terrific time!

Exactly 2 weeks from today we depart on our journey. 8 more working days!
Why is time moving so slowly now????? :sad2::rolleyes::sad2::rolleyes:

2 weeks we will be on the road to Disney!! Wow I sure have a lot to accomplish in 14 days. I am not sure if I want to do the happy dance or crawl under the covers and hide.

If you are planning to go to Hollywood Studios for evening EMH, be prepared. It was PACKED there last night. And all of the popular rides still had ridiculously long waits, at like midnight.

Going swimming at Stormalong Bay this morning (:yay:) and then heading to Epcot!

EDIT: I met someone from Team August yesterday too! I cannot think for the life of me her name, but it was great to meet you!

Just want to pop in and say hi to everyone. I haven't been on the boards lately too much, but we got some news from Victoria's doctor on Friday that kind of thrown us for a loop. The doctor suspects Victoria has Polycystic ovarian syndrome. The are referring her to the endocrinologist down in Portland and the appointment will be AFTER we come back. I know this isn't a death sentence and the severity of the condition will determine the treatment plan, but it's just another thing my poor 14 year old has to deal with. She's been sick all her life and it breaks my heart when she asks my why can't she be like everyone else. It's hard to console her when I'm thinking the same exact thing!

THIS, MY FRIENDS, IS WHY WE GO TO DISNEY WHEN WE CAN!!! WE ARE ALL HAPPY AND HEALTHY THERE....EVEN FOR A SHORT TIME! :goodvibes

Oh help...I just posted on the disabilities forum but I'm not sure how many of ya visit over there.

Ian has been having some GI issues that docs initially thought was Chron's. Another round of endoscopy/colonoscopy show no inflammatory disease BUT he does have lactose/sucrose and maltose intolerance.

I have never heard of any of these except for the lactose intolerance, we don't see the GI doc until Sept and his peditrician says to watch labels and eliminate as much of those from his diet as possible.

From what I have Googled, that seems like just about everything! Do any of you happen to have any experience with this? I wandered around the store reading labels and everything seems to have maltodextrin and sugars! I bought a bunch of organic and gluten-free foods to try out but boy are they expensive!

What about the restaurants? He LOVES his mickey waffles...do they have gluten-free ones? Do they taste the same? Thanks for any input, I'm really kind of at a loss right now as to what he should be eating.

I hope you get some better answers. But gluten is wheat not lactose/sucrose or maltose. Those are sugars. Poor kid. So I think he can have his waffle just not with syrup. Going to Disney and no sugar. :sad2: Is it total intolerance or can he have some just not alot? Disney does have lots of sugar free desserts. I've noticed there is at least one option on all the menus. So I think he just needs to go sugar free which will be much easier than gluten free. I hope someone has a reply for you because I have 0 experience.
