****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

I'm home now, after 4 hours and a lot of medicine and fluid. They did an informal ultrasound and said that I don't have visible gallstones, but it is inflammed. I will schedule a more in depth ultra sound on Monday. They said depending on what they find then, but I may be able to hold off until after Disney. I will just be eating less Disney burgers and more Disney salads :). Thank you everyone for the well wishes. You guys are the greatest!

Oh no, Well wishes and hugs sent your way!

Ashmarie ---- I'm just playing catch up here. I am so sorry you are not feeling well. How are you doing today?? You will have my best wishes tomorrow and hopefully you will be in Disney pain free. Keep us posted!!:grouphug:!

I am resisting the urge to buy things for the trip. I don't *need* a single thing for the trip, but when it gets close I always *want* things. Like clothes.. or new luggage:rolleyes1
I won't buy anything but I am definitely requesting luggage for Christmas this year.

I think I'll make my grocery and to-do lists today. Oh and I have to go to the bank tomorrow and renew our travellers health insurance.

I am very tired and groggy today. Lol. Trying to wake up since I have to work at 7am tomorrow. Thank you for asking :)

I did it guys! I finished my first 5K obstacle course, and boy it was a doozy. We were chased by zombies the majority of the time, had to run up and down hills on a motocross track, go through mazes in darkness, crawl not once, but twice under objects in ankle deep stinky mud, slide down a water slide into 4 feet of disgusting water, and navigate trails through the woods with rocks, holes and rivets in the ground. It was a serious challenge, no matter what your skill level. It was 97 degrees at 2 in the afternoon, which was a record high for here in this area in Washington. Keep in mind, we rarely hit 80. I kept telling my friend Carrie that it was just preparing me for Orlando heat and it was probably good for me. In the pics, I'm on the right in each.

Awesome job on your run crostofer, you guys look like you had a blast doing it. I think you will definitely be in shape and ready for the Orlando heat after that one :goodvibes.

The killer for me is that we have 23 days left (a little over 3 weeks) before we leave and I feel like the time is at a stand still. I am trying my best to make the wait go faster, but it just still seems like its standing still :sad2:. I am just wondering what all of you guys are doing (who still have a couple of weeks to go) to make the ticker go down quicker (hmmm, I guess I am a poet now :rotfl:).

Oh my, I was just taking a look at the Disney Food Blog to get some ideas on how to use our snack credits this year. Previously we had usually stopped at DTD on the day of our departure to use our credits by getting candy/fudge and such to take home. Honestly, I think the only reason why we have done this in the past is we are usually so full from using our counter and table service credits that we forget that we even have the snack credits! Well this year, after reading about all the delicious snacks we can get, I doubt that will happen. Just looking at this ice cream sundae from MK has my mouth watering. Yummy!

Oh, my can you use the snack credits for this? That looks incredible!

Way to go Crostofer! That sounds like quite the race and in that heat, just to finish would be an accomplishment! :thumbsup2

that looks amazing. Nom nom nom.

Does anyone have a basic kindle? Can you do anything on it other than read books? Or do I need the one with wi-fi? DBF is buying me one for Disney! :)

I have a basic Kindle and it has wi-fi (so you can download books/games). It's fine for reading. DS has a Kindle Fire. As a pp said, he can do almost anything on that. I got my Kindle years ago, but if I was buying something now, I'd spring for the Fire. It's worth the extra $100 for all the things you can do on it.

I have a question for the ladies....
Do you wear a regular bra at WDW or a sports bra? I keep going back and forth on what I want to wear. Will likely bring both.

Meanwhile I still need to get sewing on alterations today....
I was pondering this same thing, but decided to go with regular. I wore a sports bra to the county fair yesterday to see how it'd go, and it just squished the "girls" too much. I call it "uni-****". Not the best look for me, and it wasn't any more comfortable than my regular bras.

Um, I think I'm going to have to pack stretchy pants/shorts. I may gain 50 lbs at WDW!

ETA- apparently you can't type b00b. I got censored!

Umm.. well I am cleaning and stalking the Disboards:rolleyes1

This is that time when I try to get the house completely in order. I do a deep clean before all of our trips. It makes the post vacation blues easier to deal with.
I have big plans to tackle dd's room tomorrow:crazy2:
She should do it but I'll be honest. It makes me crazy when she cleans it because the kid couldn't organize her way out of a wet paper bag. So I am going in there tomorrow and junking/tossing/donating some stuff, rearranging her closet and drawers and seeing if I can get under the bed.
If I don't post again before Tuesday something in her room has eaten me or has me cornered and you all need to call animal control or the military to come get me.

:rotfl2: That's hilarious. :lmao: I think I have the same issue. I need more support than what sports bras get unless i get those ones that are super tight and conforming. But i just thought it may be cooler (temperature wise).

Meanwhile I really should start walking outside to prepare for Disney....

I'm in the same boat

I've been reading the boards and the blogs to try and make the time pass. I'm trying to rationalize by telling myself that planning and the anticipation are half of the trip. It's not working

Look at it this way. Most of those posting on this thread will have returned by the time we are just leaving!

Oh. My. God. :worship: That looks divine.

I am a chocoholic by nature though. Its a food group in this house. And I rationalize that it if you eat enough chocolate, it qualifies as a vegetable serving....after all, its made from a bean, right? ;)

ROFL!!! :rotfl2:

Sounds like my DS's apartment downstairs. I have a mother/daughter set-up in my house. There is a full apartment downstairs that he lives in. Unfortunately, my laundry room is down there too. I'm always afraid I won't make it back upstairs after going down there!
