****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

The best Project Runway shows are the ones like last week. They had to make the cloths from the candy. Another great show on the same idea as Project Runway is Work of Art. I hope that comes back for a 3rd season.

I like most reality tv. I know that is a taboo statement. I do graphic design and some of the people I work with brag about not having a TV! :confused3 The only shows that people will talk about at work are AMC shows like Madmen and Walking Dead. Both are great shows but I like talking about Survivor or Biggest loser too. Oh well

Funny side note, they all bust on me about my disney obsession. How I have conformed to the masses. I get "do you really need that many different podcast?"

If you walk in to my office everyone has the same clothes with the same music in their phone talking about the fancy beer they had last night. One is trying to out cool the next. :sad2:

Ah yes, the conformist non-conformity of the hipster. Ironic isn't it?:rotfl2:
And let them bust away about your Disney obsession. I am firmly aware of the suspension of disbelief I need to employ when it comes to Disney. I just don't care.pirate:

Love it! I'm with you. :thumbsup2

With the new retro shirts, people stop me excited to see the shirt. Then I get the plesure of telling them its a Disney shirt. :rotfl2: They ask if it is from the 70's. I guess a true retro shirt would be ok?:confused3

:lmao: Your coworkers are funny youcansmellit but I know alot of people like them.

The older I get the more accepting I am of just liking what I like and screw what anyone else thinks. I remember when I was younger I did NOT want to be a girly girl so I avoided pink and princesses. Well I put on something pink in college once and was like 'hey i look good in pink' and now I wear pink and like pink. And I always loved princesses. Just because I like pink and princesses still doesn't make me a girly girl. I also resisted Star Trek until I met my husband and learned i LOVE IT. I'm such a trekkie it's ridiculous. I had friends in high school who watched it and tried to get me to watch it and i though 'how geeky! no!' Yeah now I don't care. People at my work know I love it and actual talk geek with me all the time.

As for Disney I love happy endings for my entertainment. A Disney movie pretty much insures a happy ending. Life is depressing enough I don't need or want to watch depressing and sad movies in my free time. Does that make me shallow? I don't think so. I also don't like the 'girl' movies that make you cry. I don't want to cry when I watch tv or a movie. I want to escape reality and be uplifted not saddened.

I don't watch a lot of reality tv because most of it is just drama drama drama which I'm not a fan of but I like shows like Project Runway and Design Star because I like to see their end results. I also watch 'reality shows' like anything on HGTV if you even call that reality tv. Those shows always have a happy ending. People get a new house or a redecorated one, lol. What channel is Work of Art on? I don't think I've heard of that one.

Back on topic...DH claims to be feeling a lot better today and doesnt want to reschedule our trip (not surprised there). I thought about it and if we don't go this month I'd rather post pone my IVF and go to Disney in Sept or October and do IVF in Nov or Dec because I learned I can't do most of the rides if I'm pregnant. :P Not even the safari ride. So while those dates would still be cooler than August they aren't near the holidays. I almost thought it was worth it to postpone if I got to go while the holiday decorations were up. I don't want to post pone IVF til next year because our deductibles are paid for this year so that makes our IVF 2k cheaper if i do it this year compared to next. ANYWAY, so looks like we aren't going to post pone unless he's still feeling really poorly after his shot on the 14th. Here's hoping he continues to feel better!!!

Hey everyone!! I just got the call! I GOT THE JOB!!! Nothing like making me wait for three days lol. Thank you all for the pixie dust!! It definitely worked!!

Congrats!

:cheer2: Yay for everyone that's traveling this weekend!! :cheer2:

:surfweb: Yay for everyone doing online check-in!

:cool1: Yay for me, I finally went and saw Brave tonight! Super cute! Even cuter was seeing the castle before the movie starts and my 6 year old saying "We're going to Disney soon!!"

So much going on around here in the next 2 weeks before we leave! While I'm excited that the time will probably fly before the trip, I know it'll go quickly on the trip and when we get back, school starts the following week.

Itunes has the Phineas & Ferb "Where's Perry" Pt 1 free right now.

So got creative again...made my son a letter for part of the surprise reveal. I used a journal page made by someone from the creative DISigns section. The text on the 'memos' are the only thing I modified, everything else was created by a DISigner named donatalie. I think it turned out pretty well :goodvibes

Super cute!

My DH is the one into all things geeky and I am into all things (or most) reality TV. At work EVERYONE knows I am the Queen of Disney and I have only been there for 17 months, and that includes summer school breaks. I have only been on the jobsite for 13 months. I have even had 3 people already ask me for my opinion and help on where to stay, where to eat and things to do. One lady even borrowed one of my hidden magic of Walt Disney World book and my DS hidden Mickey book before and during her trip. I like being the person people come to for advice.

I just started packing this evening. Baked cookies for the drive, washing clothes. Now that the work week is finished, time is starting to fly by.

I was thinking of "reality TV" as mostly shows like the ones on HDTV. I know they are considered reality tv but shows like Real World and the Real Housewives I think of them more of a documentery style. I don't even think of a show as reality unless it has a vote off or a reveal. I get board if I am not pulling for someone on a show. :confused3

Work of Art is on Bravo. Its the same as Project Runway. Instead of designing clothes and having models go down a runway. They do a fine art project and have an art show at the end.

Thats great news about your DH. :thumbsup2

That came out great!

Watching Toy Story 3 tonight. Seriously, it's such an awesome movie.

I also painted my nails tonight. With a Disney theme of course! You can see my nails here:

I think they came out good!

Is anyone planning to do Disney nails for their trip?

It's so frustrating when a person that is not crazy about it doesn't ask for advice. Then they get back and tell you all the things that they hated

They eat at all the wrong places, go at the worst time of the year and don't do common sense things like fast pass.

I LOVE TS3. One of my favorite movies!

Thank you! The Minnie polka dots are very easy to do, if you want to do those.

DD and I always go for Manicures and Pedicures before our trips. Last time we had little Mickey heads airbrushed on our thumb nails. Turned out really cute:)

So glad your DH is feeling better! I was feeling sad that you guys might have to cancel- I am really praying that your DH feels good and you get to go in a couple of weeks!

Love them!! Adorable! I got a pedi last night with my OPI Minnie Mouse polish! I prob won't paint designs (love the Minnie dots though!), but I have Minnie, Muppets, and Pirates of the Caribbean OPI sets that I will decide between before we go!
