My iTunes Disney park playlist is on repeat. I am just so excited!

We did find once we got there that everything was marked so well that you just followed the signs and it was no problem.

A friend of mine went a few years back and stayed off property and rented a car. He said it was great going to the parks they had lots of signs up the telling you where to go. The issue came when it was time to go back to the hotel it was dark, they were hot, tired and the hotel did not have a whole lot of signs up telling him where to go. To hear him tell it I was laughing so hard. Next time he is staying at a Disney Resort.

Know the feeling. I keep thinking well today is Sunday and in month from toady we will be having our first full day at Disney and this is what we will be doing at this time.

Same! 4 sundays from now we'll have had breakfast at 'Ohana and will be in Epcot. *sigh* Talk about mixed emotions, I can't wait to go but I don't want summer to end either! LOL

We are renting a car (great specials at Dollar.com when I clicked on City special...thanks to whomever directed me there from the original August page!). I want to find the addresses for each parking area for the parks, the airport, and Sea World. Does anyone have a suggestion for how I can get this information? Thanks!

Disney is incredibly easy to navigate...and if you are staying onsite, I think taking 417 from the airport is the easiest route - it's a toll road, so be prepared for that ($2.50-$3.00 depending on which Disney exit you take - good idea to have quarters because some of the exits are exact change only/toll pass booths). But it's very direct and the traffic is generally lighter than other routes.

For anyone who is looking for Disney clothes, GO TO TARGET. They have this new line of Disney clothes that are AWESOME. Or you might not want to go because you might end up spending a ton of money, like I did today.

What kind of Disney clothes? I wasn't a fan of the crop top tees they had in Juniors awhile back. I was at JC Penney yesterday and passed the kids section and saw a TON of cute kid clothes so I went to juniors dept just to see if they had anything and nothing. :P Hello Kitty all over but no Mickey. Not that I need any more. I have 3 dresses and 2 disney tees that makes up my 5 days.

I wouldn't say celebrity but it sure was a special moment in my life. However, I did feel like a celebrity at the celebration they had the day I ran. I posed for hundreds of photos with all sorts of people that night I wasn't the celebrity the torch was. When I got home I went to a couple of schools with my torch and uniform and talked about the torch and the run.

It's funny because over the years I worked with many, many people and most of them know of my love of the Olympics some of them are calling me to ask if I'm taking time off again this year. Last year I gave one of my summer weeks to another guy with the understanding I could have one of his summer weeks this year so I could go to DW for two weeks and take at least one week off for the Olympics...then I got transferred. I was so happy when my coworker gave one of his week this year. Sometimes it pays to be a nice guy :).

GO CANADA GO!!

So sorry! I forgot you were in Canada. I know there are lots of Canadians on here! I still think its very cool you were a torch bearer and you will be noted in a Olympic history book someday (if you aren't already, I'm sure they track those things and people like to learn about them).

Good morning Team August!

I was thinking, I really hope all of you who are leaving soon will have time to check in and let us know how much fun you are having. I have to live vicariously thru all of you until the 28th. I want to leave sooner!!!!:rotfl2:

The good news is I'm down to weeks, not months on my countdown! WoooHooo!!!!

I second that request!!! 3 weeks til I arrive at AKL!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will be leaving in 1 week. At this time next week we'll be on the road. Last night DH and I bought a new laptop since our other laptop is old and doesnt work too well. SO if I have a chance I will be checking in to say hi. Maybe I'll post some pics too. I'm trying to load all our programs on here before we go.
Hope you get a chance to say hi and let us know how your day went! :goodvibes

I forgot to tell you all I went to the library yesterday too. Even though the online catalog said there were NO WDW in stock or even at the library I went to I decided to check that section of non-fiction and found SEVERAL books. No unofficial guide (except the kids version) but the 2012 version of Foders Walt Disney World! Woot! So I got that and the WDW trivia book. I have no idea why my library didn't show these online. Maybe someone just donated them. Our real library got flooded out in a flood in 2008 so its now just in a store in the mall (a huge new one is being built walking distance from my house though I am incredibly excited. I love libraries!) and they are always accepting donations to try and rebuild their library. So I am glad I stopped by and looked. :)

And we add another ADR and resort 11 days out...

So we will be eating at Olivia's Cafe on the 20th at 8:30am.
And we will also be staying at OKW for one night on the 19th.

The planning never ends!

I'm going for around a week from August 24th!

We've reserved a Specialty Cruise at Epcot / Illuminations evening of 25th August (if anyone wants to join us message me!)

They have this whole new line of Disney clothes (I cannot remember what it's called...), but they have clothes for women, men, kids, and babies. They have a ton! I got an Oswald the Lucky Rabbit shirt (it's a men's). I would recommend checking it out!

EDIT: the line is called Disney's Artist Collection. I found the clothes on Target's site: http://www.target.com/c/disney-favo..._HEROCONTAINER|HEROCONTAINER&intc=622574|null

Mousesaves has a POI on their site. I don't know how current it is but I don't think a whole lot could have changed.

I absolutely love libraries too! I should go check out what travel books they have- I always order all of the unofficial guides, but I am sure the library has some other cool books...

:thumbsup2 love it! I check for different restuarants at least once a night! haha!! (Hoping for the elusive Le Cellier ADR, but it's not working out! I tried for it 180 days out and they were already booked!)

Cool! I will check it out!

I know a few pages ago, someone was talking about having trip anxiety- I am totally getting it! While I am soooooo excited and there is nothing that could make me cancel, I am starting to worry about money and work. I just got an email saying that the only days we could get into our classrooms were days I will be away- usually we have had the week before too. So, I am down to one day to ready my classroom and it is making me panic a little. It will hopefully all work out though!

Stan- so cool about being a torch carrier!!!

It's a rainy day here, so we are watching the games...heading to a BBQ later, have to embrace the last days of summer! lol

Please be sure to check out the first Post on this thread and sign up for our team August mickey heads so we can all say "HI" when down in the World. Check out the lists and post those so you can see where other Disers will be on the days you are there also. ADRs and park days. This is a fast moving thread so hold on to your lap bar and enjoy the ride. :rotfl2:

Welcome to the new ppl joining in. Wishing all of you an amazing trip.
I will certainly check in on my trip. 5 days to go and busyhere. DH and I spent the morning picking our clothes, kids stuff has been done. I need suit cases down and we will be set. Tomorrow, kids have camp for 2 hours, I will treat myself to a pedi(with my 'nothing mousie 'Bout it for a french) DH was supposed to try to get a pedi today too but not thinking he will have time. I have to cut his hair later and we need to clean and do yard work because he will be working 12-16 hours every day until we go. Poor guy worked those hours all week, even yesterday was 6:30 am, got home at 10:30 last night:crazy2: Thankfully he i still insisting he is NOT working the week after we return.

Question- how do you keep your ADrs confirmation numbers? In phone, on paper, emailed to yourself? I have never needed them but of course I do want them incase.
5 more days

I send them to myself in an email then save them in an app on my phone called Evernote. I've never needed them either but it's always good to have just in case!

I'm jealous! I love Olivia's Cafe but we couldn't fit it in this trip. Have a great time!!

We always bring a little book with all of our confirmation numbers in it, just to be safe.
