Same here. By 180 days out when I make my ADRs, I pretty much know which park I will be in.

Does anyone else have the Touring Plans app and check wait times every once in a while, just for fun? Or I am weird? :)

HAHAHA, I just did that too, right before I came on to the boards and saw your post. too funny.

Chrome is flaking out and not letting me select posts to quote and I'm too lazy to do it the hard way right now. ;)

I have had awesome luck with my Teva Mush flip flops - so comfortable...just as comfortable as my Crocs, if not more so!

Thanks Tara, I have read so much about those Teva's on this thread - going tomorrow to check them out :)

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am brand new to this site and hope I am posting correctly!
I am going to DW August 27th through September 3rd for my Honeymoon! We are staying the Beach Club resort. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! :) Have really enjoyed reading all of the posts. :)

Congratulations you two! Have a fabulous time! We never had a honeymoon and are celebrating our 16th anniversary on this trip, so we decided to make it the honeymoon we never had! I am super excited too!!

The guidebooks all say to stop by the Kona Coffee bar on the way to the MK, as they have real coffee. I have two problems with that. Number one, when I asked for a latte, she made it with Nescafe. Number two, when I wised up and just asked for a regular coffee with room for cream the Kona coffee she gave me tasted like molten hot charcoal. I think my tongue is still burned from 2010. BLECH!

The first time we went to Universal and on the way through Citywalk when I spied a Starbucks on level 2, I beelined for it. It was the first real coffee I had had in like 5 days, it was heaven.

When I was there in March, i was on the hunt for a good brew. No luck. However, DTD has a coffee place near the "spitting water Stitch" entrance to World Of Disney. I believe it's called Joefrey's and not even sure I am spelling that right. Anyway it's a little coffee walk up place. Good lattes there. Best latte was at the MK Bakery. Had one every night we closed the park. LOL I stated at the Grand Floridian (amazing!!!) with my daughter and the there too, the brewed coffee was that Nescafé crap. Really!?!? Ugh.

My DH officially thinks I'm insane! I spent the evening cleaning out my van and arranging and rearranging car seats and suitcases to see how things fit best. I drive a dodge grand caravan with 2-2-3 seating and I have to fit 2 adults, a 12 yr old, a 5 yr old in a booster seat, two 2 yr olds, 4 full size suitcases, 2 rolling carry-ons, a computer bag, a diaper bag, a backpack, and the double side by side stroller in there. We are going to packed in like sardines in a can :crowded: for the 3 hour drive to the airport. :scared1: Told my DH that we might have to tie a kid or two to the luggage rack. :rotfl2:

I'm panicking a little over how we are going to make it through the airport with 2 carry-ons, a computer bag, a diaper bag, 2 car seats, a booster seat, and the double stroller. Traveling was so much easier before kids.

Don't feel bad, Next week on friday I will likely pre-pack to make sure the suitcase currently have in my room (still from my Cuba trip in Feb) will fit everything then the week after I will wash everything. That still leaves me a whole week to finish packing. I can't believe that I only have 4 fridays (3 of which I have off) before I leave! This is crazy!

One thing about being a DVC member and never using Magical Express...I don't get any Mickey Mail! :( At least, not any mail associated with my trips! Although I did live vicariously through my BF and got all excited last week when he texted me a photo of his park hopper that arrived in the mail from Undercover Tourist! :rotfl:

I'm a DVC member too, so no Mickey Mail for me too :(

I'm just like you. I can't get any sleep when I know I'm going to Disney really soon!

26 days!

Thanks everyone! I haven't heard anything yet but DH and I had a long talk last night that if I don't get it, it's not the end of the world. Which of course I know, it is just super hard to get a teaching job in NJ right now.

Good luck! Have you heard anything yet?

My son has Asperger's, BTW.

Thanks! I've had a few students with Asperger's. Is he excited for WDW??

There are Joeffrey's in or near to most parks I think. I also have been on the quest for decent coffee.:rolleyes1
In August it's too darn hot for coffee, but we usually order some from Garden Grocer so I at least get a decent one in the room before we leave.

I've been so busy the last few days I haven't had much time to obsess.. ummm I mean plan.:rotfl:
I think I am at or just about one month away at this point. :cool1:

Oh yeah - I recall that one of my friends came across that and said it wasn't bad. I remember her getting it at the coffee cart that is near the kids play fountain in Epcot before you get to Test Track.

Mostly. ;) He's 10 and super into roller coasters right now and just went to Cedar Point with his dad, so he's less than enthusiastic about Disney rides. ;) He loves it and the two of us have so many traditions there. Plus my sweetie (who LOVES Disney!) is going with us, so he's excited to do stuff with him, which is wonderful.

Only 4 more work days and 9 days total til we leave for Disney!!

Started getting things into piles yesterday that will need to be packed, which I will start doing this weekend.
I have been reading a lot of comments on the coffee and was wondering...we are staying at POR and have several coffee drinkers..Since we are driving do you all think I should just bring my coffee maker? We have the room in the SUV. Sound like the coffee makers in the rooms take Pods? I really think we are going to need our coffee to get us moving early after staying out late, lol!

Love this thread ....adds to my obsessive excitement for our trip!

All this talk of coffee brings up my only dislike about vacations...no Tim Horton's!! Not sure how many here have Tim Horton's coffee around them but I am seriously addicted to it! Problem is, the farthest south I think I've seen em is Erie PA. :( There is one walking distance from my house, XL Triple Triple everyday (at least once a day) , so travelling is always hard without it, no other coffee tastes right lol. I've even bought their coffee and tried to brew my own and it just doesn't come out right.

My brother has Asbergers. He's 35 and he'll be coming with us to Disney. Im hoping all goes well. I must confess at times I lose patience w/ him. With my parents(who he lives w/) not going w/ us, it's going to be up to me to kind of keep an eye on him. I hope everything goes nice and smooth. He doesnt have a great concept of time(ie, takes forever getting ready, takes forever eating, etc.) which is why we're not going commando on this trip, it would be impossible w/ him.

You may find that you get to go through the family line for security, which helps some:) Are you renting a car when you are there?

Yahoo...in 3 weeks we'll be on our way to the airport! The current plan to surprise the kids is this: They think we are going to Daytona Beach (gets us to Orlando on the plane and then into the rental car.) I ordered my maps and they just came. Once we get going we can ask the kids to help us with how to get to the beach...and hand them the Disney maps:) :cool1::drive::banana::hyper::goodvibes:yay::woohoo:

How does he do with a visual schedule? Like have everything written out with what needs to be done at what time? You can have it hanging in the bathroom so he can get himself going in the morning and then have a small copy for him to carry around with him each day. You can ask him what's next throughout the day so he kind of feels like he has control a little even though it's already planned out lol

My sweetie departs any minute from JFK to CA for meetings re: Job #2. Any positive thoughts or good vibes would be appreciated!! I expect by the time we leave for the Caribbean next Wednesday I'll know where we'll be living. :woohoo: Then I get to start the negotiations to work for my company both part time and remotely. I've been there 12 years and I'm now a co-owner, so I expect that they'll do what they can to make it work. (An explicit part of the owner expectations document is that we don't have to live in the city where the company is based.) It is going to be shocking to a lot of people, though...and I'm not really looking forward to that part. :(
