****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Sorry guys, I haven't been on here lately.......

Just wanted to let everyone know that I had to put my loving Rusty kitty down on Friday morning. He was 14 years old and a diabetic so for him to live as long as he did was good. He was there when Victoria was a baby and used to sleep in her crib. He saw me through my abusive marriage, moving, my dad's death, my memere's death, meeting Peter and trying the squeeze his way in between Peter and I for his spot in bed. I loved him so so much!

I am so sorry to hear about your furry family member. We have lost 3 pets over the years and know how hard it is. Thoughts with you and your family. :grouphug:

I am finally caught up.

Also, question.........What is everyone doing with their animals?

My dog is not quite 8 months yet but will be when we go. He is a big baby with seperation anxiety. We left him at the kennel the night of the bachelor/bachelorette & he was so nervous he did not want them anywhere near him. He has never acted like that before.

I was going to put him in the kennel if i had too but thankfully my brother is going to stay here, bear loves him as much as he loves us. He looked after him when my husband had emergency surgery in march so he got to know him well. He gets super excited when he visits so i know he will be ok.

12 days is a long time, he would feel abandoned. At least at home he will know we are coming back.

We are boarding him at the vet's. They love him and he loves it there. When we pick him up, they have a report card for him with a couple of pictures.

My mom offered to take him, but the one time she had him over night, he cried every time she tried to go to bed so she slept on the couch.

4 days to go! getting down to the wire and I still have so much to do.:scared1:

Does anyone else stress over possible hurricanes?

We went for our honeymoon in Sept of 04 and stressed over Ivan. Then in Sept. of 08 we stressed over Ike.

DH has been reminding me every day that things have been quiet in the tropics and each time I only half jokingly reply that the storms are just waiting for us to get down there. :rotfl2: I know that there is nothing I can do to change the weather but I still get super stressed over the thought of a hurricane hitting while we are there. We've been lucky both times the storms missed Florida or didn't hit until after we were gone but as they say 3rd times the charm. I'm thinking our next trip will have to be outside of hurricane season for a change. One less thing for me to worry about.

I'm a little concerned, but not overly. If one happens it happens, there is nothing I can do about it, so why stress too much over the possibility.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your kitty.

By this time next week I will be at the airport waiting for the flight to go to Disney!!!

:banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

Its going to be a great week. Yesterday was my anniversary, today is my birthday, and the day after tomorrow I am going to Disney World :cheer2::cheer2: I cant complain thats Monday :goodvibes Packing tonight and we're good to go!:thumbsup2

UPDATE about the anxiety and vacation blues, well my vacation blues are over but I am worried sick about EVERYTHING. I cant sleep, woke up with a headache from lack of sleep. I just cant relax .

Happy anniversary and birthday!!!

Wow, things are moving along today! I don't know what it is, the closer it's getting the more difficult it is to keep it from my son!
Very excited, got a lot of school shopping done, Aeropostale had some great online sales, got some jeans for my kiddos for $12.99 and $5.99 shirts. Already bought a ton of school supplies so basically just have to get their shoes and a couple more shirts.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday! :goodvibes

Nice job! I have 25 days and counting. I can't wait until our trip but I am slightly panicked about getting the school shopping done. I took my daughters out last week. Stride Rite is having buy one get one 1/2 off so they each got a pair of shoes. We struck out at a couple of stores and ended up with just two skirts and a top from children's place. And I have yet to tackle the long list of supplies. I see some good sales this week, so hopefully when DH gets paid I'll have a little left for supplies.

I just found out Country Bears is closed for Refurb during our visit. That stinks. I know this sounds stupid but I love this show for may reasons. I remember going to Disney in the early 70's and my grandma always loved that show. Every year we would visit her and go to Disney she would always tell us she wanted to see the Bears so ever since we have been going I take my wife and kids and walk down memory lane. I know for most of you it is like who cares but that show has an emotional tie for me. I also love to sing along with the music. I look forward to seeing it next year

o my goodness, sorry-Ive been too busy to read all these pages!:goodvibes

Happy Birthday Sabrefan!!!:dance3:

I'll catch up w/ y'all eventually!

It's almost August, Team!!!!!:cool1:

Ok, now I have to share some news of a great kind....

Got my MICKEY MAIL TODAY!!!! :cool1:  :yay: :woohoo:  :cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

Isn't that a nice feeling? I have my main Mickey mail but waiting on our ME vouchers.

Living in the south, in the summer rain is not unusual even on days when the weatherman said it would be sunny all day. Also, depending on the time of the day and from which direction the rain comes from, rain may not actually cool things off, but just make it more humid.

Oh my, let me think...the Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Rancid, Misfits, Decendants, 7 Seconds, Pixies, Distillers, etc...then he likes some pop punk too like Green Day and Blink (I love those 2 myself :rotfl:) He plays bass and guitar so I hear a lot of punk in my house. :goodvibes

SWEET!
Saw rancid live... Wouldn't recommend them....
Misfits.... AWESOME!!!! Great Live, as is Blink.

All those bands are great... And someone who knows the distillers? HALLELUJAH!

Sorry for your loss.

Ooh another question. I am worried about my DH overheating. With his psoriasis he can't sweat. I plan on doing the frozen washcloth thing and I want to get him a mister/fan. I've been trying to find one locally without luck but I think getting a Disney one would be a cool souvenier anyway so I may just wait til we get there for one.

Any other ideas?

Thanks! :flower3:

We have the Frogg Toggs cooling towel. Bought it at Walmart for somewhere around $13. I also saw them at Bed, Bath & Beyond over the weekend. There were 2 different sizes there. Before our June 2010 trip, I bought misting fans at Walmart. My DH is a big fan of wearing Under Armour in the heat.

My sister surprised me by coming down this weekend. Thought I'd have to drive my nephew half way home (I'd do 3 hours & my parents were going to do 3 hours so we meet in the middle...more or less) because she wasn't able to get off work. Her boss told her to take Monday off so she hopped in her jeep and got here just after midnight on Friday! Had a blast and got 16 pages behind on here, LOL!!

I don't worry about it too much for Disney, but since I head to the Dominican Republic on Wednesday and there are 2 tropical waves going on, I'm kind of concerned! :-O

We have a cavapoo that we will board while we're gone. We use a great service that comes and picks him up in the city and takes him to their farm-like facility in NJ. It's awesome - like his own little vacation in the country. Not bad for a city dog. ;) He's boarded a few times already and done very well, and sometimes goes to doggy daycare, so he's used to it.

LOL..Also saw Rancid live. Going back about 18 years I guess. Was an awesome show! NOFX/Bad Religion we had to have seen at least 4 or 5 times each as well. That's pretty much all we did back in the day. Find out who was playing and go see them. I'd say between us dh and I have a good 100 punk shows under our belts. In my much younger days of course. Now we're just old :rotfl:
DH still has his Bosstones/Dropkick Murphys/Less Than Jake shirts though they are starting to look a little worse for wear I'll never be able to get him to part with them.
My all time favourites would be Face to Face and Propaghandi live:) Broke my ankle in the pit for Fugazi.

Those were the days:)

In other news..

We cancelled our golf cart rental for the Fort today. It just didn't make sense to us to spend another 260 dollars on something that was merely a convenience. We have the rental car to get to the parks. We can use the internal buses for everything else. Maybe we'll rent one for a day if we can, but it seemed like a waste at this point.

I got some mails a few days back include ME bag tag and those Mickey name tag and a voucher book. Is that it? We didnt have our flight info added until today. Is there anything we should be waiting for? Or that is all I need?

Aww, I have seen Rancid a few times live and loved them...but I am an old lady of 33! :thumbsup2 I still listen to some of my college punk- Bouncing Souls, Ramones, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, and I still love Flogging Molly.

Yay!! Exciting! I am very sorry about your cat, though. :(

I am trying to get this all done too. I got some supplies at Five Below the other day, and the boys wear school uniforms, so those are all bought. I need to get them new sneakers, and they need to break them in for Disney!!

I was stressing out the other day about going back to work and planning two bridal showers but EVERYTHING fell into place today. So I am just going to go on this trip and RELAX and enjoy! Yay!

Also, question.........What is everyone doing with their animals?

Our next door neighbours will come over daily to give our girl a little bit of lovin' (and a handful of Tempations ). They are cat people themselves so they are very tolerant of her "cattitude". They are more than happy to come by, and they also keep an eye on the house for us as well. We live in a very quite, safe neighbourhood but its still comforting to know that someone's keeping watch for us while we're gone.
