Hi DISers,

Looks like WDW will be full of DISers this August. I thought it would be a good idea to organize a Dole Whip meet over at the Polynesian. It's always nice to have a chance to meet new DISers for the first time, or see some familiar faces. What better way then over a refreshing Dole Whip which is 1 snack credit. If you'd like to join us please post here with the time that best suits your plans. I'll add your name to the list.
We'll see if we can all agree on a time.

I'll be there the 11th (arriving at night) through the 19th. We could meet 13th, 14th or 15th? Do you have your days planned yet? I'm going to use the planner that another DISer created a few pages back. But we're hoppers so we can go anywhere. Dole Whip maybe? or did you have another idea?

count us in... 8/23-9/1... with all kinds of friends... friends who are annual wdw visitors and own dvc... and friends who have not only never been to wdw, but have never flown or been on a real "vacation" before... HEIGH HO! HEIGH HO! whatta trip it's going to be!!

oh, and packing... some of it's been done since last year! we have a bin of "disney only" shirts that are just waiting to go back into the suitcases

I am starting to get terribly excited. I always start packing 2 weeks in advance for trips. I am the type of person that will forget things otherwise. It also allows me to take things out if we have to much. Plus I know it won't come to the night before and me rushing to do laundry because I have to have "that" shirt. Can't wait to be there for free dining...yum yum

as well as a day-by-day explanation of why the parks will be the least crowded or why they're recommended, which Extra Magic Hours may be worth visiting, and other pertinent information. I would paste it all here but it is about 35 pages long.

It's currently a "rough draft" but it might give you some perspective on where it would make the most sense to spend your time. I'm still tweaking the format and how to present the information. It's just all sort of "there" at the moment.

I have my son's Eagle Court of honor next weekend and a washer being delivered (so I can finally do my laundry) tomorrow. It'll be a busy week (freakin' crazy actually), so I don't have time to work out anything now. We'll pretty much follow this "best parks" advice. We only have 1 ADR that we're keeping. We're doing O'hana on Saturday the 14th at 8:50. Do you want to do a Dole Whip meet or did you have something else in mind? What do you think?

we have 30 some days to figure something out! we have ADR for every night we are there, i will go get my schedule and look at it. A dole whip works for me, my family and I love them. I think we are actually going to the parks that the calendar says to avoid we always go to the parks with EMH and do our ADR at the parks with EMH that night, and one night we have our ADR at DHS because of fantasmic dinner package....im guessing you think we are dumb for doing this right??? I think i may start a thread and ask people about this, because we are Disney Veterans, have gone 15+ times, every year since i was 8, and since we have been staying on premiese we have almost always gone to the park with EMH that night and did our ADR there and have always got on rides. yes sometimes we skipped things, but always got on....maybe we should change that??? im so confsued now!!! lol

LOL - wait till he sees Disney - he'll think Canobie Lake is for babies! I love seeing the kids first impressions of the parks. Truly magicial...

So much to get done before we go haha, I better get to work on it all pretty soon. I still have touring plans to make, and gotta figure out how many changes of clothes we need etc. etc. etc.
