Sorry the code won't work for you. There are people who would give their eyeteeth for that code.

You can always try AAA to find a discount through them if Disney doesn't give us general codes.

What grade is your son in? Maybe it would be okay to start school a week late?

I just called the wife and she is double checking with the school on the date of school start up since the calendar hasn’t been officially released. He is nine and we are blessed in that we can send him to a private school. However, his school starts a week earlier than the Public schools.

I would think a private school would be more accommodating to your needs. With him being nine, there are lots of things that could be tied into learning. Just the worlds at Epcot would provide enough, but there is accounting (budgeting spending money), time management, map reading, and other things I can't think of right now. You could work with the school now to decide what things can be applied to next years curriculum.

I called today of course to ONLY check to see if my new mailing address was on file. Good thing I did. They had my history so messed up with the wrong address and wrong contact person. It was a mess. Took while to fix. But still had no codes. But the girl I spoke to was so sweet. She kept saying that if I booked from Aug. 8th thru the end of Sept. there would be some REALLY EXCITING offers coming up for that time frame. I asked her right out if there would be free dining. She said yes, but, didn't know when it would be offered. She also said to check back often to see if there was anything new. Before we hung up, she reminded me to call back often.

The last time a CM was this helpful I was able to get the book 4 get 3 nights.
So, when they say they don't know ahead of time, I don't believe it.

We were lucky to have a discount last year for our Aug 07 trip (I had even forgotten about the card and it was offered to me when I called to check something). I got a postcard in the mail in the fall and I thought the dates were only for late winter/early spring. When we started to book our Aug 08 trip, I called to see if I have a discount, and low and behold, I did! We booked Pop for $49.00 per night. I was also told that I can get 2 more rooms for friends/family for that rate as long as part of our trip overlapped....I don't think this is mentioned when you book....pass it on! Now I am hoping for free dining...keep your fingers crossed It is cheaper to have that than the reduced room!

You know this got me thinking, so I went back and dug out the pin code I got last fall. The special was good for dates through 3/15. So I'm thinking maybe that's why I haven't gotten the current pin code because I'm still within the period covered on the last pin code.

So I'm curious how many people who got the last pin code last fall also got the current pin code of 40%?

Okay - I finally was able to get info on the pin I was emailed...the 30% off IS applicable to the Family Suites and I booked it (minus our first day which was not available). The rate came to 126.62 per night including the tax. I estimate my savings to be about $192 plus losing a night saves another $167 (AAA Rate)......

I think I will keep trying for that one day....and I am STILL hoping for a bounceback deal that will beat this.

I've got a Family Suite booked 8/14 to 8/28 with a AAA discount. I was at WDW for my DS's 7th birthday in January and called about booking bounce back at BC and while I could have at 30% off I wanted to talk to my DH about it and I couldn't hold 2 reservations for the same dates. I should have thought about it before my trip but had been so busy with the holidays and all that I hadn't. The CM suggested I switch ASMu Family Suites reservation to a bounce back and then I could change that reservation to the BC after I got home if I wanted to. BUT...the AS Family Suite wasn't availble for my dates at bounce back AND it would have only been the same 20% I already have with AAA. In the end I decided to keep the ASMu Family Suite reservation and I'm sure that will be best for us this time. I'm pretty sure the 20% is about the best I will do.

I have not received a new postcard in the mail, so I do not know how I got the discount for those dates. This is the 2nd year in a row that we got the same discount for those days. I almost considered not calling and booking because I was afraid it would prevent from being offered a deal. I decided to call to see what my deal was and the cm checked for me. I think the starting date for my deal was August 10 and it extended through Sept. If you have an old offer, maybe it wouldn't hurt to call to see if you have a new offer.

Bounce back was 20% for value resorts which the family suites are-same as I already had with AAA. I was only trying to change so that I would have some ability to change resorts when I got home. You have to book bounce back when you are there and they said I would have to give up my existing reservation in order to book a new one.

I didn't try partial dates as I already had my airfare.

I could have booked BC at 30% off but that was about $90 more per night and that adds up after 14 nights. My DH (who doesn't travel too well) was willing to do a split stay but I would be the one doing all the work and I really didn't want to do that. I also have a VERY picker eater in my crew and I think the food court will serve us better than the food options at the BC. I'm happy with my decision now. I'm anxious to try the suites for the first time.

You got a great rate at 30% off! Do you have AAA? Can you book 1 night at 20% off and then maybe you won't even have to change rooms.

Well they were considered value for the AAA discount which is good because the AAA discount is higher at the values.

I'll be interested to hear what you are told as far as bounce back.

Last year it was for all resorts. I would be thrilled if they did the last week of August again, but when we were there for free dining last August the bounceback was only for September so there is a good chance August won't be included. Only time will tell though.....

Just booked POP for Aug.21-29 using a 30% e-mail code. If free dining comes out, I'm all over that instead. If not, we're still thrilled to try POP for the 1st time. Of course, now I have to see if we can save up enough for air fare and tickets.....
