I love ATWT! I'm 34 and I've been watching as long as I can remember. I would also love to see Kirk and Sam come back. I was so mad when Simon showed back up. I loved Katie and Mike together. The Hal recast should be interesting. Sometimes I like the new actor better than the old, but 19 years is a long time.
My favorite storyline right now is the whole Jordan/Rosanna/Cabot thing. I also can't stand the Margo/Jessica/Doc thing and Molly's character needs to be put out of her misery. All her storylines have been pretty stupid since Jake died.
Not sure if I like Dusty and Lucy together. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I would also like to see some of the older characters -- Kim, Bob, Lucinda, Lisa get some new storylines.
I don't like the aging of kids on the show either. Shouldn't Jennifer and Bonnie be like 12 to 14 max right now?
What does everyone think about Walker and Barbara together? I kind of like them as a couple, but it was totally unexpected. I never saw that one coming!!
I do like Paul and Rosanna together though. I always thought they would get together back when she was still married to Craig and Rose was with Dusty.

I posted something about ATWT awhile back but I didn't get a big response. I thought ATWT fans were few and far between on this board, but it appears this thread got 'em out of the woodwork. Nice!!!

O.k. here are my likes and dislikes of the show.

Simon- Was so yummy. I can't believe he's off the show, but I will be watching LAX, the new show he's gonna be on!!!

Henry- He is so funny. I love his character and hope they give him a bigger role.

Mike- I can't stand him. He has fallen in love with every girl he's been with so far. I just hate him with Katie. Simon and Katie were such a great investigative team, I can't see her with Mike.

Jessica- Annoying.

Nikki- I can't stand the way her mouth moves. She talks weird.

Molly- I didn't like the old one and I don't like this one either. I think it's funny how the old Molly went from a size A chest to a D. Very subtle.

Holden & Lilly- I love them cause they've been on so long, but they are boring. It looks like Holden is going to hook up with Molly again.

Paul & Rosanna- I think I will like them together.

Craig- Love him. He cracks me up with the things he comes up with.

Dusty- Ewww. He looks smelly!!

Allison- Makes me nauseous. She is such a brat.

Chris- I hope he and Emily hook back up!

I love the oldtimers on the show and wish they would give them more of a storyline! I'm waiting for Kim and Susan to beat the
S*** out of each other.

Jack & Carly- I hear they have a big storyline coming up and I'm excited to see what that brings. I'd love to see Jack cheat on Carly. I'd like to see him have a fling with Mitsy.

Yeah, I love looking at him, and liked the scenes when he found out Sage wasn't his, but he is a bit of a dip when it comes to women.

That's what it looks like, but I thought that this new Molly was a temporary recast, so I'm not sure. Although, the last rumors also say Lily may be leaving soon, soo.. who knows?

I liked Craig with Rosanna, but mostly when she was snarky. When she mellowed out, they weren't as much fun anymore, IMO. I love Roger Howarth (Paul)--I wish I had watched OLTL years ago so I could have seen him with long hair. YUMMMM...

I liked Chris and Alison together at first, but then he got all bossy with her, and I didn't like them aymore. I think she should hook up with Aaron since Lucy will be with Dusty. If Benjamin Hendrickson wasn't leaving, I wouldn't want Emily with Chris, but, since he is, I don't care.

Holy cow! That's a spoiler and a half. I think something bad is supposed to happen to Jack too. This may turn out to be an interesting summer for ATWT fans.

I think my age may be catching up with me because I do not like long hair on a guy. I want a man to look like a man. (Off topic, but did you ever watch Danny from GL before he came to GL? Wow, he is gorgeous now but with long hair? YUCK! It may have been an ABC soap, not sure) I really do not like this Paul. He has made the character (well, the writers really) seem so much more manipulative and 'James-like'. I loved the old Paul that asked Rose to marry him and then supposedly died in a plane crash. He was as different from James as you could get - really sweet and devoted to Rose. I'm not sure it's Roger that I don't like as much as the char change I don't like. Maybe both.

I had a bit of a crush on the original Dusty. I still remember his black hair and gorgeous blue eyes. He was such a cutie. The new one does remind me of George Clooney a bit too.

I'm sort of on the fence regarding Mike. I so liked Shawn Christian better.

OH MY GOSH- I HAVE to share this story with you fellow ATWT fans.

It's 1986- I'm 14 and think Ricky Schroeder and Brian Bloom (original Dusty) were the hottest boys on the earth. At the time I lived in San Jose, CA and was involved in a very fun, dynamic youth group. As 8th graders, we could earn a trip to see Silver Spoons and a day at Disneyland if we did both chores at home and did social giving through church (going to retirement homes to Christmas Carol, going to soup kitchens, etc). OKay, so not only did I get to see Ricky alive and in person but I SAW BRIAN TOO! And got his autograph.

My best friend and I were standing in line for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at DL. We're being typical goofy 14 year olds and just chatting and such. Out of the corner of my eye I see in the chain loop behind us BRIAN, with what looked like his family. I absolutely freeze and then was too embarrassed to say, "Um, are you Brian Bloom on ATWT?" So what do I do? Start yukking up ATWT with my friend, kind of loudly, and after a minute or two, his mother taps me on the shoulder and says, "Do you recognize my son? He's on the show!" I was like, "Wow! Oh my gosh!" doing my best shocked act. We chatted the whole rest of the way in line, mostly with his parents cause he was acting like a total snotty snob, but I got his autograph and when I got back on the church bus to go home I showed it to the other girls and boy were they jealous. A 14 year old's DREAM!

Someone help!! What did James say to Rosanna today when she went to visit him in prison? Our station cut in for a weather report which lasted 20 minutes!! It was raining really hard, but no wind, no tornado watch, no hail, maybe a 5 minute update, but no need for 20 minutes!! Anyway, I missed that whole part. At the end when she was being really nice to Jordan and hugged him and everything, I figured James must have made some kind of threat. Also, why did Molly come over to Jack and Carly's all hysterical after she had decided to go back to the Lakeview? (I really can't stand that new actress, by the way). Someone fill me in please!!!

I haven't seen ATWT in a long time, but I started watching off and on about 30 years ago (when my Mom watched). My Mother's Mother also watched, so I am a 3rd-generation watcher and my DD (minniegirl88) on page 1 of this thread is a 4th generation watcher.
Like I said, I haven't seen it in a long time. My favorite time to watch was about 20 years ago when Betsy was played by Meg Ryan. I loved the whole thing with "Tonio" he was married to "Meg" who was one of the daughters on "The Farm". That is back when "Nola" told people she had been raped by her cousin (can't remember his name) and she was the biological Mother of "Lily" (Lucinda's adoptive daughter) as a result of the rape, etc..........
It was always an exciting, fast-moving soap. I really should get back into watching it again.

I watched a little of it today... but I can't help out with all the questions I was hoping someone else could help too.

Molly said she wouldn't testify. And James knew a lot of info on Rosanna and scared her into staying with Jordan-- I think
Jordan was planning on going on a trip with Jenn and Barbara was trying to tell Paul that he should leave CAbot and Rosanna because James is playing these tricks because he wants Rosanna with James...

But why does James want that I have no idea???

But If someone else knows that would be great because I was trying to watch while my girls had friends over and one of the mom's came to pick up at this time...

Here's the scoop on Monday, July 19's show, according to TVMegasite.net :

Dusty is released and threatens Craig. James gives Roseanna advice on how to keep Cabot and urges her to talk with Barbara. Molly is so scared to stay alone, she asks to stay with Carly and Jack. Jennifer and Jordan plan to go to Greece for two weeks. Barbara talks with James, James telling her that she shouldn’t worry, the relationships she’s trying to break up are well on their way to being such. Craig transfers the two million into Wade’s account.

I am watching the show right now and I don't understand how the same group of writers/producers can write the horrible storyline of Jess/Ben/Margo/Tom/Doc and Holden/Molly and the great storylines with Dusty/Lucy/Craig and Chris/Emily/Alli. I am hooked to half of the storylines but they throwing in some of the worst ever. ????? I wish I had TIVO

I've been meaning to check in on this thread!

I've been watching forever! My babysitters watched when I was born so you can say I was born watching ATWT and GL!

I am loving the Lucy/Dusty story but I'm missing MIKE!

I hate the new Nikki more than the new Molly. I don't ever think Lesli Kay can really be replaced as Molly but the new Nikki is just horrible to me.

I'm loving the Aaron and Ali story and hope they end up together. I've honestly never really liked the new Chris all that much.

I read in Soap Opera Digest that there are rumors of Lily (Martha Byrn) leaving the show and also that Hal is leaving but will be recast.

I'm so glad to have other fans of my soaps on here, this is SUPER!

Edited to add: I may get a chance to go see Michael Park and Maura West (Jack and Carly), as well as Frank Dicopolous, Beth Ehlers, and Ricky Paull Goldin (Frank, Harley, and Gus, GL) this weekend at a local mall. If I make it there, I'll take pics and try to get them posted here!
