Because of budget constraints on "As The World Turns" Mike Kasnoff will be leaving Oakdale at the end of August.

I'd like to express my gratitude to the entire cast, crew, and production team who have made this an irreplaceable experience. I have been privileged to be a part ATWT and this concludes an invaluable education. Most importantly, thank you to the fans who have been energetic supporters of both Mike Kasnoff and the show as a whole. I view my departure as a positive step forward. Stay tuned as I share my next creative challenge with you shortly.

I like Mike as a character but I won't really miss his portrayer this time. I really miss the old Mike.

I'm really enjoying the Parker & Liberty story

Mike never really seemed to have much of a storyline since he came back on the scene.

"It's an embarrassment of riches to have them both back," smiles Head Writer Jean Passanante of the impending returns of James Stenbeck and a presumed-dead Dusty Donovan. How did it happen? "Chris Goutman...and I discussed the great historical value of those characters and the great affection of the fans for both the actors and the characters," she explains. "They are galvanizing characters in a lot of ways because of their connections to so many people on the show. It seemed like a great opportunity for drama, conflict and fun." Anthony Herrera (James)...was traveling abroad when the show reached out to him. "I was in Buenos Aires and I got an e-mail from Vivian and we worked out what needed to be worked out for me to come back," he says. "I wanted to know what the story was and I have certain projects that I need to do and need to continue to do in Argentina. I asked for a certain work schedule because of haing survived two bone marrow transplants and they were very good about working with me on that." Look for James to cause lots of trouble for Paul....As for Grayson McCouch's Dusty, who was killed off in January, Passanante says she knew there was always a chance he'd be back. "I wouldn't say that was necessarily on my mind at the time, but with a character like Dusty, it's always great to leave the door open if you can," she notes. His return -- which is indeed connected to James -- will also affect Emily and Lily. "At the time, when Dusty 'died', Emily wrongly believed he had sabotaged her relationship with Chris," points out the scribe. "She felt very unsatisfied when he died for a number of reasons because she hadn't been able to say, 'I was wrong about you.' So, yeah, they definitely left things at a turning point." Herrera will first air on August 27. McCouch follows a month later, on September 24.

James and Dusty coming back. I'm trying to remember the last time James was on and how he left (was it when he fell out of the airplane?) But with Dusty didn't they have his dead body at the hospital? How will they bring him back?

I always hate when they bring dead people back- esp. if they showed the "dead" body. I love Dusty so I hope it's kind of believable.

For some reason I feel like the last time he was on had to do with Roseanna's son Cabot being swiped from the carousel? Maybe?

I am glad that James is coming back - awesome character. I was upset when they killed off Dusty and though I would like to have him back - I am not happy when they resurrect people from the dead when we have seen their dead bodies and have had murder trials.

I was wondering this too. But would James have sent something to Allison and Chris. I can see him sending to Barbara and Emily. Not sure if he's gonna be involved but I can't figure out who it is.

James is one of those you love to hate! Glad to see him come back. Larry has started getting interested in the show since I've started watching it in the evenings. I'll have a lot to fill him in on especially with James. How many times has he been killed off now?

Who is doing the poisoning? Why?

I guess Dusty will not help Holden & Lily get back together. Wonder what the impact will be on Emily? Will it mess up her relationship with Casey?

The new SOD is reporting that Dani Andropolous, Steve and Betsy Andropolous daughter, is returning to Oakdale and will be played by Deirdre Skiles.

When will we get an answer to the poising issue? I didn't get the clip for tomorrow with Casey being held by a security guard.

There is an interview with John James in SOW about the poisoning storyline....

Rick did this to Oakdale because everybody was mean to him when he visited before and it made him mad. Rick is supposed to make the antidote, but he escapes and takes half the town hostage in the hospital and shoots Aaron. He escapes and takes Ali as a hostage. Rick gets away in the end. The actor says he doesn't think viewers have seen the last of him.

Lily sees Holden at the hospital. They are getting along until Holden says he moved into the Lakeview. Lily thinks Holden did it to make it easier to see Carly. Meanwhile, Holden and Carly nearly sleep together again. Mike comes over to repair the damage caused when Lily nearly killed Carly. Mike and Lily bond. Mike wants to take things slow, but Lily is ready for more and they have sex.
