My dd7 was sick 2 days this week, so I stayed home with her. I got to see Casey's farewell, and Vienna's talk with Maddie. Both made me cry! I hate she was sick, but I'm so glad I got to see it instead of reading about it!

But the Cleo thing is freaking me out. I hate that storyline!

I have a confession-I'm a Guiding Light fanatic, too. Just never found a thread for it here on DIS. I love my soaps! Anyway, I was just reading about today's show, and found this:

Billy boasts to Josh that he wants to put in a bid to build Worldwide's new building somewhere between Oakdale and Springfield. He tells his brother he's ready to turn the reins over to him anytime he's ready.

I guess all the CBS soaps are doing tie-ins now. I guess if they all get canceled they can just combine them into one soap!

I love GL too!! Well not as much lately. Been kind of boring. There is a GL thread but it never really took off. I missed the part about Billy and Worldwide. I Tivo it and I must have fast forworded that part.

I read that Susan will find out about Emily and Allison's professions and it will lead her to drink again.

Should be good. I love when a veteran actor gets a juicy story.

Me, too. I wish they'd quit bringing in the new people (most of whom cannot act!) and concentrate on the older ones. I loved the interaction between Nancy and Katie awhile back. Bring in Bob and Kim, Susan, Lucinda, and bring back John and the show would be fantastic!

Really! I must have missed him saying that, although I admit I've only been watching ATWT and GL very sporatically lately. I bounce back and forth as to which soap is my fave.

I would love Susan to get a good storyline.

I'm liking the Lucinda/Craig storyline- didn't he steal Worldwide from her about 20 years ago? Lots of kistory in this show.

I loved the julia storyline too, probably because I just love Carly and Jack. Although I think a Katie/Jack hookup would be awesome...boy, would Carly be POed!

I LOVE Carly and Jack, but I do like his chemistry with Katie. Remember that this is the Craig that had a fling with Lucinda-that storyline could shake things up! And they could use flashbacks-I always love it when they do real flashbacks instead of the made up ones. Especially with Holden and Lily. I lived for soaps that summer!

I'm also upset about the "triangle" with Emily and Alison. He is too old for Alison! And she is an addict! A little realism would be nice!

According to the May 22 issue of Soap Opera Weekly, Emily will “disappear” (SOW’s word) in June, due to Kelley’s maternity leave. SOW doesn’t say how Emily will be written out. According to a quote from Kelley, she doesn’t plan on returning to tape ATWT until her children are back in school, probably mid-September, she says. So it sounds like Emily will be offscreen 3 to 4 months and not be seen again until October.
