Count us in!! Just booked our sister trip for April 21-27!! :cool1::banana::dance3:

Edit: forgot to add, we're staying at POR :) oopsie!

Same time and resort as us :-)

Count us in

My husband and I are also going to WDW in April 29th to 13th May we are very excited and can't wait. 2008 was our last visit.

It will be strange for us this time as we are going without the family normally there are 7 or 9 of us kids and grandparents but kids are all grown up now and we hope we will enjoy it as much as we did when we went as a family.

I have booked us into the WL as it looks like a nice hotel with plenty to do and it is close to MK and I got a great deal on this resort at the time of booking.

Look forward to hear all your plans and any tips for couples traveling without kids.

Hope you all have a magical trip :cool1:

wow look at all of us that will be at POR at the same time!!!!!:wave2: Very excited to be heading back there, haven't been since our Honeymoon in 97'. So we get to celebrate our 16th anniversary at the same resort. Off to tweek our itinerary according to our new "home" have a happy Friday everyone :lovestruc

Okay, all you smart people, I have a dumb question. My in-laws have DVC and they have reserved the room for us in April. I will obviously still have to pay for park tickets and food for my family. We decided not to go with DDP because my kids don't eat alot and we don't tend to eat big meals. ANYWAY... I'd be willing to change that if there was a deal. But... none of these discounts apply to just park tickets and meals do they? They're all for packages with hotel correct? I'm pretty sure that's the way it is, but I hate to think I'm missing out on something I should be doing!

Thanks everyone!!

You are correct...There are no special deals like that. If you do decide to choose the dining plan, you will have to have that paid before you arrive. I believe the deadline is 48 hours before check-in, but you should check to be sure. Many will get thier tickets from Undercover Tourist...using the mousesavers discount. Sign up for Mousesavers e'mail and you'll get the code through the email.

If you have AP's, then you could choose the TIW card, but that's better used if you'll be doing a lot of TS meals. The cost of the card is $100.00.

Hope all works out for you :thumbsup2

That's what I thought. I've gotten my tickets from AAA before and my in-laws live in FL so they have annual passes and I already had them buy the TIW card because they head over there on a regular basis. We have a sit down dinner each night so it will certainly help.

Thanks!

i have been on hold for over two hours this morning and an hour and a half last night. how long is the longest you've waited? i would hang up if it wasn't going to save our group of 4 rooms almost 2k!!

2 hours -- that's crazy..... although I did wait 1.5 hours on the TA line yesterday. But I heard of some TA's having to wait 3 hours!!! :scared1:

We are very excited. It's such a beautiful resort, with a relaxing boat to Downtown, a large store, and great parking. And except for some standing at park close we haven't had problems with the buses. I enjoy looking around the resort as the bus goes around.

The kids and I were there for Christmas 2011. I haven't posted them on the POR picture thread yet but I have just uploaded them to photobucket and am going to post them today.

Yay!!!! I am officially PAID IN FULL!!!! :cool1:

Now to sit back and wait for April to get here!!! :woohoo::dance3:

That is a wonderful feeling!! We have the pre-Disney Royal Caribbean cruise paid off, but we have only paid the deposit on the room for the Disney part of the trip.

Family budget is now on lock down. We have designated January as a no eating out month. We have much money to earn and not a lot of time to do it in.

On Lockdown! Love it! :thumbsup2
That's how we've been the past few months so we could pay it off by January, which was our goal. :goodvibes

I've now hit 3 hours on this one call!!!!!!!!!!! This is a bit extreme. Add that to the 1.5 hours last night and I have almost hit 5 hour!

I called yesterday at 8:30 am and was off the phone by 9am. Do you have another phone? You can try calling again with out hanging up your current call. That is way to extreme.

.

same here. We paid off our post-WDW cruise, put $1k down on WDW, then spent a bazillion $$$ at Christmas, and now need to buckle down and get WDW paid off by end of February. I should probably take back that text I just sent DH about trying a new restaurant this weekend, lol. :worried:

Christmas is what took us down too. But it's okay. We need something to occupy us for the next 100 days or so anyway, right.:)

I have told my boss I don't need any days off in January and I might be able to work late some days to help out 2nd shift. I am sure she will make me take some, but I have been know to work 21 straight days to raise money for a Disney trip. Wow, I hope that doesn't sound as obsessive to others as it does in my head.:rotfl2:

Doesnt sound obsessive to me. Thats the only way I am able to pay for trips is to work a ton of overtime. I've been approved 50 hours OT for the next 9 days alone. Guess that means no sleep, but at least we can have a bunch of fun in April.

wow, I'm not the only crazy one. I have been a stay at home, homeschooling parent for years, and just picked up a part time job this year because our annual Disney trips were looking like they may have to be bi-annual. I decided I would work just to ensure our annual trip, and its sooo worth it.:rotfl:

yeah I was paid in full last month, but got a $648 refund coming because of the discount. doing a happy dance
