We've done H&V twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and while the food is definitely nothing to write home about, we are doing it again simply because the character interaction is so good. They do a fun parade around the restaurant and the characters tend to take more time here with the kids than most places, probably because it isn't as popular or busy. Plus, the characters here aren't ones you can meet at every other character meal.

I'm usually pretty easy to please, especially at a buffet, so for me to say the food is not great is saying a lot, lol! BUT, it's not that it's totally gross or inedible, it just isn't really "good", compared to the other TS restaurants at WDW. (Although as many have mentioned, the TS options at DHS in general are very lacking, so it's not like you're missing some other great experience to go here instead).

Overall, I would say that the breakfast food was a little better than lunch, although the chocolate chip cookies at lunch were the one redeeming quality of the meal, it's almost worth it for those alone!

If your kids are into Disney Jr, I definitely wouldn't skip it because of the food, just go with low expectations knowing you're there mostly for the characters and just eating "something" so you aren't hungry later. Then you won't be disappointed :)

Thanks. :) I can do that. I'm a touch picky, but I can almost always find something.

Oh my gosh, those Disney problem photos are incredible! The one about the drink at AK had me bursting out laughing, love it!

OMG! I just realized my ticker has gone down to 4 months!:dance3:

I know the next 6 weeks will fly by and then unfortunately, time will crawl after that. The slowest time of year, even without a Disney trip coming -- January thru March. :sad2:

hope everyone enjoys the holiday season, they will fly by! Then we will all keep each other company through those long months ::yes:: Praying for a mild winter:thumbsup2

Paid off the trip today! Whoooooo!

:banana::banana::banana:

It's been a long seven years. I just can't wait. I get tears in my eyes thinking of the boys' first sight of the castle.

(OK, DS1 has been before. But he was 1. He doesn't remember. :))

Hi.

Can you tell me the facebook group name that everyone is talking about?

We are taking our 2 boys (ages 3 & 7) for the first time from 4/25-5/1.

Love the tips I get on this board!

Thanks

My almost 2 year old son now is beginning a love for Pooh and Tigger, is there somewhere to meet them besides CP? We already have two character breakfasts booked, don't really want to do anymore.

Thanks, HappyGal. :) I'm giddy.

bk0308, where are you staying? Our two boys are almost the same age as yours, and we're going for nearly the same days!
