Got our Mickey mail today!!!!

Although I have a question. All that came in the mail were the bright yellow luggage tags, and a booklet for ME. If I am not using the luggage tags (we are arriving late in the evening so want to handle our bags ourselves) do we need the booklet? I am not really sure what it is for? Do we need it to board ME?

Are you referring to the little blue booklet? Yep, you need to give one of the papers in it to the ME driver, so bring it!!

1 MONTH TO GO!

The Mickey on my ticker is almost at Cindy's Castle!! Started the ticker 7 months ago - it looks sooooo close now!

I went ahead and pre-ordered our PhotoPass CD this morning after reading about the price increases that will take effect next week.

When exactly is the photopass price going up? Still on the fence about whether or not I want to get it. We never have in the past, but it would be nice to just focus on the girls as they meet characters and not have to ask someone to take a picture of us all together. I'm just worried that if I get it, I'll feel like I have to stop and get our picture taken all the time!

OK, I'm taking 2 trips that are 2 months apart, but I didn't want to have to purchase 2 photopass CDs. Here was my plan to only do 1 CD for both trips.

My first trip is April 11th-15th. I have 30 days to add the pictures to my account. If I wait almost the entire 30 days I would be adding them mid May. Then I have 30 days from adding them to my account until the expire which would be mid June.

My second trip is June 11th-18th. If I purchase a picture extension on my apirl trip in early June (before I leave for my June trip) then my pictures would be valid until sometime in early July which would give me time to upload and add my June trip pictures to my account.

Am I correct in the way that I have worked this out?? I know that purchasing a picture extension is cheaper than buying a 2nd CD.

That's the way we felt last year when we got the photo CD. It ended up that we didn't buy the CD (you can opt out if you don't feel there were enough pictures on it). We got tired of looking for the photographers all the time and stopping to get the photos taken. If we had small children, we would probably be more apt to want to do this. But for just DH and I, not so much.

Basically, it's another way of preventing you from waiting in a line.

I don't really know, but I think that FP wouldn't work on a ride like Dumbo because it is a "slow" ride/has a small ride capacity. Meaning that they cannot really get that many people on in a certain period of time (because of loading and unloading), so if they used a FP line, you would still end up waiting just as long as a standby line anyway.

I think you are exactly right. It really wouldn't help at all. But having two dumbo rides will, I think. Can't wait to try it out with my DGD! I've never ridden it before.

A little bummed about the price increase on the photopass CD. I wasn't going to do it this trip, but now I'm considering it. We used it in Oct, but it rained nonstop the first couple days, so they were hard to find. It was perfect for MNSSHP though...decision, decisions...

24 more days to our much needed get away. We received our Mickey mail Friday right before finding out my dads best friend passed away that morning very suddenly. This morning was the funeral and my heart just goes out to his daughters who are only 19 and 24 and his wife. We just feel like we need to have fun while we can because all we do is work.
So yay less than a month!

We too only got the bag tags and ME papers. Have never book without an agent before nor DVC points so not sure I should expect anything else. Don't have any official papers on our room/dinning reservation although the number we were given does show up on the website as valid

You should be receiving a packet with a booklet containing your reservation information and coupons, and luggage tags even if you didn't sign up for DME. I haven't received ours yet either, but if I am remembering right, we didn't receive ours last year until about 3 weeks to go.
