OFFICIAL April 2012 DISers! 2 months and counting!

My family of six plus my brother and his three kids leave for Disney April 20th
Can't wait as it is a first time for one of mine and 2 of his....it's going to be AWESOME!!!!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3::yay:

Tickets bought! UT was cheaper than AAA, just by a little ($17ish for our group), but every bit counts.

So excited!!!

Not sure if I posted my plans or not.. I am going to watch my DD play softball at the Wide World of Sports .. Staying April 7- 14 @ DTD Best Western ..

4/7 - Arrival 7:30pm so explore the resort ..
4/8 Magic Kingdom before and after game (game Noon-2)
4/9 Hollywood Studios before and after the games (games Noon-2,2-4,4-6)
4/10 Animal Kingdom in the am and DTD after the games (games 2-4,4-6)
4/11 (the girls day off) Epcot all day (no games)
4/12 Magic Kingdom again in the afternoon after the games (games 8-10,10-Noon)
4/13 Epcot again in the afternoon after the games (games 8-10 & 2-4)

I do not have any dining plans because she'll be with her team and I'll be solo and eating counter service or snacks.

The goal during this trip is to see and do the things I've not in the past due to the kids not wanting to or being brave enough and things that my Hubs can't or won't do when we come back in May.

MK - Space Mtn., Snow White hopefully will still be open for one last ride before closing.
AK - Everest
HS - Rock-n-Roller Coaster, Beauty and the Beast show - Maybe Star Tours (I get mothing sick so ??)
EP - Hopefully Test Track will still be open for one last ride before the change.

19 days for us, too! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Preordered our photopass over the weekend (splitting with a friend whose trip overlaps ours, too, so it was only $50! Yay!)

The pins I ordered for DD and Dfriend to trade with will be delivered today. DD has NO IDEA I ordered them. She asked about pins about a month ago, and I was like "I don't know, they're so expensive, and you've got to have some leftover from last trip you aren't fond of."

And then I felt bad and ordered some. *grin*

Even DH is starting to get a little excited, and he's usually a very nervous traveller.

I will probably start packing soon.

40 days today!! WOOHOO! I am deeply, deeply jealous of all of you that are in the low digits!!

The Dumbo soft opening is quite exciting!!! It will be nice that some of the new Fantasyland will be open while we're there. Even though we're just 2 adults going, I still want to go take a look!!

The pictures from today's soft opening of Storybook Circus looks awesome!! The new Dumbo with the water "moat" and fountain looks great, and the new Barnstormer/Goofini looks spiffy! I couldn't remember if the old Barnstormer had FPs but it looks like this one does - will have to see what kind of wait times it will have once it fully opens and based on that may need to adjust my touring plans. Very exciting!

Is there a benefit to pre-ordering the photopass?

anyone know the height requirement for the Goofini? I think I remember that barnstormer was 35", or was it 36"? Anyway, can't find the Goofini on the disney website to check. thanks!

From my quick google search, it was 35". This is the only time when those old not-updated websites come in handy :rotfl:

Thanks, Dave! I had a feeling you might know. I am so happy that it will be open for April; still a little bummed about BTMRR being closed, but this makes it a little easier. At least my little thrill seeker will have a coaster to ride! She will barely miss being tall enough for space mountain. AND I think my middle DD will be tall enough, too. If I measured correctly she was about 35.5" inches without shoes, so we should be good!

Here is a question that I'm sure I could find the answer to with a little research, but is the Dumbo that is open now where Toon Town was? So in that area, what will be there in April ~ Dumbo, Goofini and the Train Station?

Yes, the new Dumbo(s) is part of the new Storybook Circus which is located in the old Toontown area. Today's soft opening included the new single carousel ofDumbo, the newly themed "Barnstormer Featuring Goofy as the Great Goofini" and Fantasyland's Trainstation, all of which will be fully open in April. We don't know when the second (old and relocated) Dumbo carousel will be ready yet. Casey Jr Roundhouse (a water play area) and Pete's Silly Sideshow are the other components of Storybook Circus that will also not be ready in April.
