OFFICIAL April 2012 DISers! 2 months and counting!

Let's see... hotel rooms reserved, van reserved, packing lists printed, ADRs at Chef Mickeys, Akershus, and Wishes Dessert Buffet booked, res made at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique... list of in-room breakfasts and shopping list compiled... list of must-see/eat things at each park compiled...

I just need to order my tix from Undercover Tourist or AAA, whoever has the better price. Guess I better not forget that one! But we're not 'til closer to the end of April, so... I got time! Can't wait!

I am a little concerned about my mom, though. She has bad knees from persistent weight issues (though she's recently lost a fair bit), and can't do a lot of walking. I think she's going to try to get an ECV, but I'm concerned about what will happen if they run out. I guess we can always push her in a wheelchair if we have to... more calorie burn for the rest of us. It would probably be cheaper for her to not rent one from the parks, but we really don't want to have to deal with getting it on and off buses.

Don't know if it's changed but I checked both and AAA was a little cheaper and you don't have to pay for shipping- I just pick them up.

april12th MK dinner at Ohana
april13th AK dinner at YnY
april14th Epcot dinner at Garden Grill
april15th DHS dinner at Cape may
april 16th EP w lunch at LC, or AK with Dinner at Tusker, OR MK with dinner at??
april 17th MK or AK?????
april 18th MK dinner at Sanaa
april 19th EP w lunch at LC or AK with Dinner at Tusker ?????

We plan on 1 day DHS, 2 days Epcot, 2 days AK, and 2 1/2 days at MK.

The crowd levels don't really look all that bad that week. We've been when it was much worse. But I know that MK is busier on Sun. and Mon. usually. Maybe go EP or AK on 16th. That's what we're doing (I think EP) 17th do either MK or AK. I wouldn't really change what you have it looks fine so you won't need to change ADRs. Don't beat yourself up you've been enough that you shouldn't worry about missing anything. You must have hoppers, right? I still can't believe how close we are!!!

we went with UT for our tickets they were cheaper than our AAA. Sounds like you are ready

Planning to spend our 10th Anniversary at DL ( spent our honeymoon at WDW/ cruise). This will be the first time our kids have ever been (3 & 5). We're planning to stay at the PP from April 9- 13. Can't wait. Although my DH and I have been to Disney many many times, this will be a first for us with small kids and I know it will be a special trip.

I don't think so because we're buying our tix through AAA or UT to get them cheaper than WDW sells them. Not a whole lot cheaper, mind you, but every little bit helps.

if we ever do a package that requires tix then we get them through disney with the package, BUT this trip we are renting points from a co worker so we buy them separate so we went with UT. No hoppers for us, doesn't work well. We stick with 1 park per day

LOVE the pink shoes! I have a pair of nikes that color (I let my 6 year old pick my last pair of tennies, lol)!! I get comments on them wherever I go ~ ha!

i wish i could wear bright pink shoes! They are so cool but i'm a bit anal with matching and they would SOOOO not match my clothes b/c i have maybe 2 pink things in my wardrobe. haha. my blue ones are a bit easier to match to anything b/c they are mostly white.

The Planet Green channel is doing some sort of Disney World travel show marathon. I'm watching a behind the scenes show right now. Even though it's bit outdated (they're talking about Toontown) it's putting me in a Disney mood. I may be stuck in front of the tv for awhile.

Have you ever tried Lands End for swimsuits? They fit awesome. I got 2 last year.

We don't have a Lands End. Is it an American company? I'm up in Canada. plus i usually get swimsuits according to bra size b/c they just fit so much better for me - sorry to the guys if that's TMI (too much information) LOL Maybe I'll type in a google search on Lands End.

Someone just told me on another thread that only 1 water park is open at a time. Is that true?!?! I was pretty sure everything I read in my books said they were both open starting in March...... Could be wrong, if anyone can calms me down and tell me I'm right and they are both open, I'd really appreciate it!

They have one open and one closed during the colder weather so I think like Nov sometime til maybe Feb/March?? i'm not completely sure but during end of April and into May is a popular time for water stuff so they will both be finished their upgrades and open when it's warm.

Count us in. We are making a quick stop to WDW 4/14-4/19. Staying at BC. First we are headed to Daytona for a week w the in laws. So excited this is a last minute trip for us...as I normally plan a year in advance. Plus I got DH to agree to 6 days when it was suppose to be a day trip to MK!!!

I hope you can figure out the best way to make things work out well for you. Does she get special shoes to specifically help her out wtih her knees? b/c a good pair of shoes can make a world of difference.

My major concern is that we have never had to get a GAC for our DS 11, due to (asperger's, SID, and adhd) Our routine was always get a fastpass for whatever we could, then if we made it back within the time frame great, BUT many times there have been breaks that were needed to get somewhere quiet or away from crowds and we used them late (gasp!) now that they are enforcing the no late fastpass rule, I need to make sure that we are in the least crowded park for each day. It stinks!

I totally understand!! Thanfully we've never needed a GAC card either, and every year it gets a little easier. I hope everything works out for you. Have you been for April vacation before. If not- it's really not as bad as everybody thinks. People say we're crazy for going at that time but they have no clue really.

Yes we have been during April vacation, but those are the trips that we really used the FP's late due to getting out of crowds in the afternoon and using them later on if we could make it back to the parks. Getting there early was great as we could do so much before lunch. It was not bad at all, and this year should be better because our vaca is after Easter.

I love how DS 11 just announced that he wants to eat at Tusker for lunch with the characters, of course I booked Dinner!

WOOHOO!!!! My TA made our reservations for Wishes Dessert Party this morning. We will be there May 2. I also called Disney this morning and scheduled the girls at Harmony Barber Shop for 11:30am that day to get their hair done.

In 33 more days we get to tell my friends daughter that she is going to Disney. and we will be there in 46 days.

Everything is coming together. I still have some work to do on a few shirts that need some glitter that I am hoping to get to this weekend.

Happy another week closer to Disney everyone.
