I hope that it is country! I think that most of them can do well with that if they choose the right songs.

I'm looking forward to seeing and hopefully hearing Josh too. I really like him. :)

It's not so hard to adapt to country. It's not all twangs and banjo pickin'.

Heck, even Brett Michaels (from Poison) is country now.

I love Josh Gracin's "Nothing to Lose" song!! I'm addicted! lol! I think a country theme would be intersting.. but it doesn't go with the baby pictures. I'm leaning towards the "year you were born" idea. This could be an interesting show...

Ryan Seacrest has just confirmed the theme. Highlight for spoiler below.

Hits from the year you were born

He was talking to Randy who figures it will be Carrie or Bo that win. He says that Constantine is a good performer but doesn't think he will win. He also says that Scott and Anthony are still in it because Simon keeps trashing them.

Maybe that's Carrie's baby photo? What would that have to do with a theme?

I haven't had a chance to catch up with the entire thread, but in the TV Guide there is a small article about AI and it has each person's baby picture, and you get to see if you can match the person to the correct baby picture.

Since we have had the TV Guide for a week now, maybe they are showing who goes with who? I tried to find a link to the pictures online but couldn't.

The theme for this week has been announced. Check my spoiler on the previous page.

Now I've seen this a couple times already when ppl use white to hide a spoiler...you know that when we get email notices, we can read the spoiler without highlighting anything.

Maybe we shouldn't use white text as a spoiler hider anymore.

No problem. Got any other suggestions? I'd be happy to try them.

It probably wasn't even necessary for me to put it as a spoiler since Ryan announced it on his radio show, it is public knowledge.

I think I will enjoy this week better now that I know it isn't country. We get to hear that every week, regardless of the type of song, anytime Carrie sings. Sorry to those who really like her, but I just don't get the hype! She is so blah to me.

...for the 'heads up' on the theme! (BTW ~ howdja DO that???!?!?)

I concur that I'm happy it's not country. Like someone else said, people can turn stuff into country anyway. At least "songs from the year you were born" allows for anything.

That being said, I don't think there's any need to hide the themes for the week. It's not like you're really spoiling anything anyway. We're not giving away the ending. It allows for more speculation as the day wears on.

The answers of who is who is under the adult pics of the singers, in the TV Guide.

But I do like the them for the week. Singing a song from the year you were born. It should be fun.

No song list yet? I look forward to Cindy B.'s post every week.

A little dissappointed it's not country.

I think the themes this year have really played in to Bo and Constantine's favor. They are the only 2 I could see having problems with some different types of music. The themes they are picking (except for last week) really let's anyone pick the type of music that best fits their voice...not much challenge there.

And...my take on country music.....

Country ain't your Mama's country anymore..it's all grown up. There are so many "versions" of country and so many crossover artists that even country ain't country anymore half the time.

I watch Nashville Star and when I saw that he was a judge. I was VERY confused. I think he is doing an awesome job though, and I can see the Country in him. :)
